Abstract

This study aims to determine the frame safety factor and the precision level of CNC plasma cutting results. The research method used is a research and development model, namely the French model. This model has 8 steps that are used to produce a CNC plasma cut design. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis techniques derived from the results of tests conducted. Safety factor testing was conducted using the 2015 Autodesk Inventor software with a frame of 110.54 N. The precision cutting results were carried out three times using the same instrument, 20 currents with a speed of 400 mm/min, against ST 37 material with a thickness of 1.3 mm. The results showed that the frame was categorized as safe because the minimum safety factor value was 4.23 ul and the cut test results showed an average measurement with a maximum deviation of 0.3 mm, so it could be concluded that plasma CNC cutting had tolerance. rate of ± 0.3 mm.

Abstract

Rencana penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dalam Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dalam bidang pendidikan. Model penelitian pengembangan yang digunakan berupa ADDIE: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa angket dengan skala likert empat jawaban. Uji validitas instrumen dilakukan dengan mengadakan konsultasi dengan ahli materi dan ahli media. Reliabilitas instrumen dihitung menggunakan rumus alpha dan menghasilkan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,89(sangat reliabel). Terdapat tiga aspek yang diukur pada tahap implementasi ini, yaitu aspek kualitas materi, pengoperasian media, dan aspek pembelajaran. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu untuk kualitas materi mendapatkan persentase 77,87%, untuk pengoperasian media mendapatkan 69,12%, dan untuk pembelajaran mendapatkan persentase sebesar 75,24%. Dari ketiga persentase tersebut didapatkan persentase total sebesar 75,24%, sehingga media trainer sensor dinyatakan “LAYAK” digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran mata kuliah sistem kontrol di Politeknik Pelayaran Surabaya pada program Diploma IV Teknologi Rekayasa Permesinan Kapal Politeknik Pelayaran Surabaya

Abstract

This study discusses the role of mathematical literacy as the main competency that cadets need to have in the field of maritime education. Through a systematic literature review (SLR), the mathematical literacy competencies needed by cadets in the maritime field are navigation, problem solving, use of modern technology, operational management, critical and logical thinking, and accurate data-based decision making. This systematic review provides an illustration of literacy mastery Mathematics not only supports cadets' understanding of basic maritime concepts, but also improves cadets' abilities in dealing with challenges or unexpected situations on board ships and while at anchor. Therefore, developing mathematical literacy must be a priority in cadet education and training programs to produce graduates who are competent and ready to face the complexity of the global maritime industry.

Abstract

Sistem pelumasan yang efisien pada mesin Diesel Generator merupakan faktor penting dalam menjaga kinerja optimal dan mencegah kerusakan mesin di kapal. Sistem pelumasan berfungsi untuk mengurangi gesekan, mencegah keausan, menyerap panas, melindungi komponen logam dari kelembapan dan oksidasi, serta membersihkan partikel kotoran yang terbentuk akibat gesekan dan pembakaran. Peneliti merangkum permasalahan dan memecahkan masalah dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan analisis Fishbone diagram. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara selama praktek di kapal laut. Hasil data menunjukkan penyumbatan dalam sistem pelumasan dapat menyebabkan berbagai masalah, seperti peningkatan suhu operasi, keausan komponen yang lebih cepat, dan bahkan kerusakan mesin yang serius. Penyumbatan dapat disebabkan oleh penggunaan minyak pelumas berkualitas rendah, kontaminasi oleh partikel asing, kegagalan pemeliharaan rutin, atau desain sistem pelumasan yang kurang optimal. Masalah ini tidak hanya mengurangi efisiensi operasional kapal, tetapi juga berpotensi menimbulkan risiko keselamatan bagi awak kapal dan lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman yang baik tentang penyebab dan solusi penyumbatan sistem pelumasan sangat penting untuk memastikan kelancaran operasional kapal dan menghindari kerusakan yang dapat berakibat fatal.
