Abstract

ABSTRACT  This community service program aimed to improve students’ understanding of geometry concepts by integrating STEM principles with local wisdom in West Papua, particularly through the traditional structure Rumah Kaki Seribu. The activity was conducted in Class VIII-E at SMP Negeri 01 Manokwari using a contextual ethnomathematics-based approach. Learning materials were delivered through interactive lectures, video presentations, model explorations, and group tasks using student worksheets. The results showed that students were able to accurately identify geometric elements in the traditional house structure. Student engagement significantly increased, as evidenced by active participation in discussions and task accuracy. This approach also fostered critical thinking and appreciation of local culture. The main limitation was the short duration of the program. Continuous mentoring through thematic activities and broader school involvement is recommended. This model can be replicated for teaching other mathematical topics in culturally rich regions.  Keywords: Geometry; STEM; Ethnomathematics; Rumah kaki seribu; Local culture   ABSTRAK  Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap konsep geometri melalui integrasi prinsip STEM dan kearifan lokal Papua Barat, khususnya struktur Rumah Kaki Seribu. Abstract

The development of information technology requires students majoring in informatics engineering to master web programming as one of the core competencies of the study program. Variations in students' ability to understand the material are reflected in significant differences in grades, so an objective analysis approach is needed to determine the ability of students. This study aims to group students based on academic grades in Web Programming courses using the K-Means algorithm. The data analyzed includes 1-3 assignment grades, attendance, UTS, and UAS from 32 students in the Department of Informatics Engineering, University of Papua. The research stages include preprocessing, data normalization, and clustering process using Orange Data Mining tools. Determination of the optimal number of clusters is done using the Silhouette Score method, and the best results are obtained at K = 4 with a Silhouette Score value of 0.513 which indicates a good cluster structure. The clustering results show that Cluster 1 has the highest score with a final score ranging from 0.93-1 with an Excellent score category consisting of 8 students, Cluster 2 with a Poor score category consists of 10 students with a final score range of 0.23-0.61, then Cluster 3 with a Good score category consists of 10 students with a Final score of 0.78-0.87 and Cluster 4 with a Fair score category consists of 4 students with a score range of 0.64-0.75. The results of this study provide information about the distribution of student abilities and can be the basis for improving learning strategies in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of electricity quality on customer satisfaction. The population of this study consists of customers of PT. PLN UP3 Manokwari. The population of this study includes customers of PT. PLN (Persero) UP3 Manokwari in three areas, namely West Manokwari District, East Manokwari, South Manokwari, and North Manokwari. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling, resulting in a sample size of 100 respondents. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires distributed online through social media groups and customer emails. The data were analyzed using linear regression tools with IBM SPSS 24 software. The results of the study show that electricity quality has a significant effect on customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Renewable energy (RE) is a solution to the threat of the upcoming energy crisis. The increasingly massive energy transition is expected to significantly reduce the use of fossil fuels. Microalgae are one of the potential sources of RE for bioenergy (biodiesel) production due to their lipid content. This research was conducted to determine the percentage of lipid components; free fatty acids (FFA), monoglycerides (MAG), diglycerides (DAG), and triglycerides (TAG) in Chaetoceros calcitrans microalgae and to compare lipid yields using two extraction methods: Bligh-Dyer (wet samples) and Soxhlet extraction (dry samples). The results for C. calcitrans extracted using the Bligh-Dyer method showed that the percentage of lipid components (FFA, MAG, DAG, and TAG) ranged from 5.44% to 17.10%, with a total of 47.92%, and the lipid yield from 6 g of wet sample was 5.07%.Meanwhile, for the C. calcitrans extract using Soxhlet method, it was found that the percentage of lipid components (FFA, MAG, DAG and TAG) ranged from 6.79 to 18.01% with a total of 63.08% and the lipid yield from 20 g of dry samples was 0. 44%.
