Abstract

Tujuan penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPA melalui Pendekatan Kontekstual pada siswa kelas VI SD Negeri 008 Kecamatan Nongsa Kota Batam Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas terdiri dari dua siklus, tiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Sebagai subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VI SD Negeri 008 Nongsa. Dalam pengumpulan data , metode yang dipergunakan sebagai metode pokok adalah observasi dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penerapan pendekatan kontekstual pada kelas VI SD Negeri 008 Nongsa, dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 37 anak mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar Hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata kelas terjadi peningkatan yaitu pada tes awal sebesar 60,81, siklus I 71,49 dan pada siklus II naik menjadi 84,59. Hal yang sama terjadi pada peningkatan jumlah peserta didik yang mencapai batas tuntas minimal (>75) yaitu sebelum tindakan 12 peserta didik (32,43%), yang tuntas pada siklus I sebanyak 24 peserta didik (64,86%) dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 31 peserta didik (83,78%). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan kontekstual terbukti dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPA pada siswa Kelas VI SD Negeri 008 Nongsa tahun pelajaran 2019/2020.

Abstract

The purpose of this classroom action research is to improve science learning achievement through a Contextual Approach to class VI students of SDN 008 Nongsa District, Batam City, for the 2019/2020 academic year. The form of this research is classroom action research consisting of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject of the research is the sixth grade student of SDN 008 Nongsa. In data collection, the method used as the main method is observation and test. Based on the results of research on the application of a contextual approach to class VI of SDN 008 Nongsa, with a total of 37 students experiencing an increase in learning outcomes. and in the second cycle it rose to 84.59. The same thing happened to the increase in the number of students who reached the minimum completion limit (>75), namely before the action 12 students (32.43%), who completed the first cycle as many as 24 students (64.86%) and in the second cycle increased to 31 students (83.78%). Thus, it can be concluded that the use of a contextual approach is proven to improve science learning achievement in Grade VI students of SDN 008 Nongsa for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

The mathematical representation ability of junior high school (SMP) students is still not optimal. This study aims to develop student activity sheets (LKS) with valid, practical and effective criteria based on ethnomathematics which can specifically facilitate students' mathematical representation abilities. The worksheets were developed in order to facilitate students' mathematical representation skills through pictures and symbols. This study uses research and development (R&D) methods by applying the ADDIE model, namely: analysis (analysis), design (design), development (development), implementation (implementation), and evaluation (evaluation). The LKS was tested on 32 grade 7B students of SMP N 1 Mlati for the 2020/2021 academic year. The instruments used were interview guide sheets, material expert and media expert assessment questionnaires, student and teacher response questionnaires, learning implementation observation sheets, and mathematical representation ability test questions. Based on the results of the study, it was obtained: (1) LKS was declared "valid" with an average expert score of 81.03% with very good criteria. (2) LKS is declared "practical" with the average score of the questionnaire response of educators and students to LKS is 4.2 with good criteria, and the results of observations of learning implementation obtained an average score percentage of 92.33% with very good criteria. (3) LKS is declared "effective" with the percentage of the average score of the mathematical representation ability test, which is 76.92% with good criteria. The LKS compiled meet the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective so that they can be used in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve mathematics learning outcomes literacy and numeracy skills by using a realistic mathematics education (RME) approach, especially trigonometry comparison material of SMA Muhammadiyah Imogiri. Students of grade X E1 SMA Muhammadiyah Imogiri are the main objects involved in this research. This RME approach model is used as a strategy to improve students' literacy and numeracy skills about trigonometric comparison material. The results of this study show that applying the RME approach is very effective because students are able to apply contextual problems related to trigonometric comparisons and are able to develop their own discipline and mutual cooperation attitudes, the significance of mastering students' literacy and numeracy skills in applying and solving contextual problems in trigonometric comparisons. Based on a sample of 24 students of grade X E1, it is proven that more than 80% of students are complete and able to apply contextual problems in trigonometric comparisons, while less than 15% of students are incomplete and unable to apply contextual problems.

Abstract

Learning motivation plays a crucial role in supporting the effectiveness of classroom learning, particularly in increasing student engagement, encouraging active participation in the learning process, and optimizing learning outcomes. This study aimed to improve the low mathematics learning motivation of eleventh-grade students of ULP 2 at SMK N 4 Yogyakarta through the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative model. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through learning motivation questionnaires, observation, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results of the study showed an increase in students' learning motivation, marked by an increase in the average motivation score in each cycle. This study achieved 78.5% at the end of the cycle and successfully achieved the set target of 75%. In conclusion, the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative model is effective in increasing the mathematics learning motivation of eleventh-grade students of ULP 2 at SMK N 4 Yogyakarta.
