Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of modification of the Honda Tiger 2000 on exhaust emissions of CO and HC. The method used is to modify the carburettor venturi piston and replace the rocker arm with a roller rocker arm. The exhaust emission test used a gas analyzer type SUKYOUNG SY-GA 401. The object of the study was a Honda Tiger 2000 motorcycle. The results showed that modification of the Honda Tiger 2000 motorcycle at idle, 1000 rpm, 1500 rpm, and 2000 rpm increased CO emissions but reduced HC emissions. Based on comparing the motorcycle emission threshold values for manufacture ≤ 2010, namely CO emissions exceeding 5.5% and HC emissions less than 2400 ppm. Pertamax Turbo fuel consumption is more efficient than Pertalite with a distance ratio of 45 km requiring 1L Pertamax Turbo and 1.4L Petalite.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat adalah sebagai tim pelaksana NASMOCO go to shool di SMK Muhammadiyah Petanahan. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi dan diskusi. Tim pelaksana melakukan observasi dan diskusi antara SMK Muhammadiyah Petanahan dan Toyota NASMOCO Magelang sebagai langkah awal link and match. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu: 1) Program NASMOCO go to school dilaksanakan di SMK Muhamamdiyah Petanahan pada tanggal 10-11 Februari 2021, 2) jumlah kendaraan masyarakat yang melakukan service sebanyak 30 unit, dan 3) Proses pelaksanaan berjalan dengan baik , hal tersebut terlihat dari antusiasme masyarakat yang mengikuti service dan tidak ada kecelakaan kerja.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of modifying the Vespa Sprint I-Get 150 ABS motorcycle on power and torque. The method used is to modify the intake manifold, combustion chamber, ignition, and exhaust channels. Power and torque were tested using the Bethar Racing Team Dunamometer. The test results show that: 1) modification of the piston from 58 mm to 66 mm increases engine capacity by 200.4 cc; 2) Modifications to the intake manifold, combustion chamber, ignition, and exhaust ducts can increase power by 24.8 hp at 5122 Rpm; 3) Modifications to the intake manifold, combustion chamber, ignition, and exhaust ducts can increase torque by 41.68 Nm at 1890 Rpm.
