Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana efektivitas etika komunikasi digital Islam dalam pendidikan Islam di lingkungan kementerian agama Aceh tengah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Untuk melihat keabsahan data penelitian, peneliti menggunakan metode = triangulasi sumber. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan empat tahap yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelayanan berbasis komunikasi digital Islam dalam konteks pendidikan Islam di Lingkungan Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Aceh Tengah telah berjalan dengan baik, efektif dan efisien. Proses pelayanan optimal yang dilakukan institusi pendidikan Islam di bawah naungan Kementerian Agama kabupaten Aceh Tengah tidak hanya dapat dilihat melalui optimalisasi teknologi pendukung pembelajaran, seperti proses pembelajaran berbasi komputer dan penggunaan e-learning tetapi juga melalui dukungan etika komunikasi Islam, seperti keterbukaan dan kejujuran para pengurus sekolah (MAN 1 Takengon) terkait informasi publik. Etika komunikasi digital Islami menjadi basis dasar yang mendorong piranti teknologi pada Institusi pendidikan Islam yang ada di kementerian agama Aceh Tengah. Hal ini secara nyata diwujudkan melalui Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (PTSP) yang dapat digunakan secara langsung melalui platform digital.

Abstract

Tiktok merupakan salah satu media sosial yang paling populer dengan fitur yang disediakan berupa video dan foto yang menarik. Tiktok selain digunakan sebagai sarana hiburan juga dapat berfungsi sebagai media pendidikan literasi digital yang menjadi sumber informasi masyarakat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mengkaji peran akun Tiktok @jadipenulismuda sebagai sumber informasi Mahasiswa Ilmu Perpustakaan UINSU berbasis Digital Literacy. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi terhadap isi akun @jadipenulismuda, serta wawancara pemilik akun @jadipenulismuda dengan dua mahasiswa Ilmu Perpustakaan UINSU dan dokumentasi dengan instrumen penelitian berupa handphone. Analisis data dilakukan dengan meringkas seluruh data hasil wawancara, kemudian data tersebut dipilah dan disajikan dalam bentuk narasi dan tabel dan pada tahap akhir dilakukan pengecekan silang antar informan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa akun Tiktok @jadipenulismuda juga berperan sebagai sumber informasi publik, khususnya oleh mahasiswa Ilmu Perpustakaan UINSU. Hal ini terlihat dari para siswa yang telah mem-follow akun @jadipenulismuda merasakan dampak peningkatan kemampuan menulis dan rasa ingin tahu mereka terhadap buku dan informasi lainnya. Upaya yang dilakukan akun @jadipenulismuda dalam menyajikan informasi adalah teori information repackaging dimana informasi yang sudah ada dikemas kembali menjadi bentuk baru yang semakin menarik perhatian publik.

Abstract

Fake news frequently spreads through comments and content shared by social media users, resulting in disinformation for the general public. These hoaxes not only concern general topics, but they also frequently address sensitive theological issues, which can cause misunderstanding and even conflict among believers. The purpose of this study is to identify and assess the challenges that preachers confront when using social media for da'wah in Silau Padang Village, Sipispis District, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The research approach employed is qualitative research, which describes facts through a series of phrases. This study employed a descriptive strategy. The descriptive method uses data from interviews with preachers in Silau Padang Village, Sipispis District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, as well. as data from books, journals, and other scholarly publications. The findings demonstrate that the trend of digital da'wah causes a variety of issues for da'i in Silau Padang Village. Some of them include rejection, disdain, and slander, which are frequently seen on social media platforms. Furthermore, the rapid advancement of technology allows for the rapid distribution of bad information and slander, which contradicts Islamic teachings that ban spreading other people's humiliation. Nonetheless, the da'i recognize that technology has enormous potential for spreading beneficial and constructive da'wah messages. To overcome these issues, preachers in Silau Padang Village employ a variety of tactics. They become innovative in observing the evolution of social media trends, mastering effective communication tactics, and responding to queries and comments from the community. They also use technological aspects such as live streaming and making da'wah content on prominent social media platforms. Based on the findings of this study, it can be stated that digital da'wah not only provides benefits, but also presents a number of problems that must be overcome. Understanding the difficulties and employing the appropriate tactics can help da'wah boost the success of their digital da'wah while also maintaining the purity of the da'wah message in the ever-changing social media environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the TikTok account @vmuliana in enhancing personal branding knowledge among students of the Communication Studies Program at Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with ten senior students and observation of five TikTok videos related to personal branding. The analysis reveals that @vmuliana's content supports students' understanding of key concepts such as value consistency (Unity), digital visibility (Visibility), and personal distinctiveness (Distinctiveness) in building a professional identity. Informative, relatable, and strategically communicated content facilitates the transformation of conceptual knowledge into practical actions, such as optimizing LinkedIn profiles and creating professional resumes. These findings indicate that TikTok can function as an effective informal learning medium for developing students' personal branding skills in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of influencers in shaping political opinions among voters in the city of Medan. With the increasing use of social media as a source of political information, this study highlights how platforms such as TikTok influence political perceptions and attitudes. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing a case study on the TikTok platform. The results of this study indicate that influencers are not only information providers, but also agents of social change and communication bridges between politicians and the public. The importance of this study is considering that now is the era of everyone using social media platforms, the presence of this study can provide guidance for politicians, political parties, and campaign teams to use influencers strategically and ethically in reaching voters in the election. TikTok is the dominant platform for obtaining political information, while influencers show a critical attitude by verifying the truth of the news received. The conclusion of this study confirms that social media has a significant impact on shaping political opinions. with good digital literacy being the main factor in filtering accurate and reliable information. However, there are challenges in the form of low political literacy and the potential for information bias. Therefore, digital literacy and critical attitudes of voters are the main factors in filtering political information. This study is expected to be a reference in a more ethical and effective political campaign strategy in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication strategies used by migrant students in dealing with culture shock in Medan City. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants consisted of five students from various regions in Sumatra who were studying at UINSU and UMSU. The results of the study showed that the communication style of Medan people is loud, expressive, and direct triggers culture shock. To overcome this, students apply accommodative communication strategies, are active in campus social activities, build social support networks, and utilize social media as a means of adaptation. Environmental support and mental readiness play an important role in the adjustment process. These findings are relevant to the Communication Accommodation Theory and intercultural communication, and recommend the need for a cultural adaptation assistance program for migrant students in the campus environment.
