Abstract

Has designed a tool that serves to maintain the plant to grow well. Plants that grow well in need of treatment were quite good, especially in maintaining soil moisture. So that the land remains under inert conditions in accordance with the standard requirements necessary plants enough water. For that need attention regularly for watering plants. The automatic Plant Watering prototype uses temperature sensors and inertial-based Microcontroller Arduino Uno can be used in the treatment plant without the need to set watering schedules. In order for watering is not carried out during the day or during the scorching sun, the temperature sensor is used. Arduino microcontroller pin which has 14 digital input/output, which serves as the center of the brain process or the automatic sprinklers. The system was designed using a motor driver to drive the motor to pump water watering. Watering can prototype uses temperature sensors and inertial-based microcontroller Arduino Uno to move in automation tools for soil moisture has not been reached. If the soil moisture has been reached then the pump will stop watering the plants.

Abstract

Floods are one of the most frequent disasters that hit Indonesia, especially North Aceh District. Flood is a disaster that causes a lot of loss in the form of property and lives, disrupting the activities of the population. Therefore, flood disaster mitigation is important to be carried out by the government by involving the community to reduce the impact of flood disasters that occur so that this can reduce the number of flood risks. One of the efforts made by the government is a cooperative relationship between the government and the community to obtain optimal results. In reviewing flood mitigation efforts, a qualitative approach was carried out with research procedures that produced descriptive data. This descriptive data can be sourced from the local community and observable community behavior. Data collection was carried out by means of in-depth interviews. The results of the analysis show that there has been a flood mitigation effort from the government in the Krueng Keureuto area in the form of the current dam construction and cooperation with the community which is called community participation. This is done by inviting the community to be able to carry out flood disaster mitigation plans. Mitigation planning activities involving the community are carried out by studying and discussing things that might happen before the flood occurs, emergency response during the flood and post-flood recovery. Therefore, disaster mitigation is needed both structurally and non-structurally.

Abstract

Kawasan Cagar Budaya Candi Muara Jambi is one of the cultural heritage and national heritage in Jambi Province, its location along the Batanghari watershed has a threat to the Batanghari river overflow flood disaster. This study aims to analyze and map the level of disaster vulnerability with the aim of reducing the impact of losses and the impact of the population exposed to disasters.  Determination of the level of disaster vulnerability is done with several vulnerability parameters, namely social, economic, physical and environmental vulnerability. In this study, a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach was used to analyze the level of disaster vulnerability using weighting scoring techniques and overlay techniques. This research used secondary data. Based on the results of the study obtained information that the level of vulnerability of flood disasters in the study area is at a moderate level of vulnerability with a high level of vulnerability parameter, namely economic vulnerability with a moderate level of vulnerability parameter, namely social, physical and environmental vulnerability.
