Abstract

ODHA are people with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) and AIDS (Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome). Changes in ODHA's character are inseparable from psychological and social pressures and cause many ODHA to become depressed. Psychological and social pressures experienced by ODHA  also have a negative impact on emotions. Most people know the term emotion related to anger and hatred. ODHA companions are ODHA and become an extension of nurses and even foundations in approaching ODHA. Community Service was carried out at the Putri Ayu Health Center which is a PkM partner location aimed at enabling ODHA companions to carry out independent healthy training to increase efficacy in anger management, the implementing team had previously provided spiritual mindfulness education to participants to control emotions, the next activity the team trained independent healthy skills by providing leaflets to increase self-efficacy in anger management, providing questionnaires via Google Foam, the results obtained were 12 ODHA companions, there was an increase in self-efficacy, namely in the belief in being able to overcome anger and negative feelings by 1 point, the belief in being able to overcome sadness when in difficulty 0.91 points, the belief in being able to avoid losing control when angry 1.75 points. After this activity was given to ODHA companions, it is hoped that in the future this activity will be continued to ODHA at the Kanti Sehati Foundation

Abstract

Menstruation is the process of releasing healthy blood and tissue from the uterus which then flows out of the body through the vagina. Disturbance that usually occurs during menstruation is dysmenorrhea. As a result,it can interfere with daily activities such as school, impaired motivation and concentration in learning. The aim of education is so that young women, especially female students at SMP N 11 Jambi City can do dysmenorrhea exercises to prevent dysmenorrhea pain. The activity begins with a pretest, then the implementation of education and demonstrations regarding dysmenorrhea and then a posttest. The media used are posters, ppt, leaflets and questionnaires. The educational target is 20 respondents. This activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 11 Jambi City for a period of 3-6 months in March 2023-July 2023. The results obtained were that before being given knowledge about the application of dysmenorrhea gymnastics from 20 participants 13 students said moderate pain with a pain scale range of 4-6 and after given knowledge about theapplicationofdysmenorrhoeagymnastics,therewere15participantswhosaidmildpainwithapainscale range of 1-3.It is hoped that this can provide information to students of SMP Negeri 11 Jambi City regarding dysmenorrhea exercises, especially for students who have experienced dysmenorrhea but have never been educated about how to deal with dysmenorrhea with dysmenorrhea exercises.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is one of the main causes of deaths and the number of perinatal individuals in Indonesia. Until now, preeclampsia is still a obstetric problem that has not been completely solved. Preeclampsia is a disease whose incidence rate varies in each country. The aim of education is to reduce blood pressure in pregnant women at the Putri Ayu Health Center in Jambi City, they can do dysmenorrhoea exercises to prevent dysmenorrhoea pain. The activity began with a pretest, then education and demonstrations regarding warm soaking were carried out, then a posttest was carried out. The media used are posters, ppt, leaflets and questionnaires. The educational target was 10 respondents. This activity was carried out at the Putri Ayu Health Center in Jambi City over a period of 3-6 months in March 2024-July 2024. The results obtained before being given education, knowledge about warm soaking, respondents were less than 60%. After being given education, knowledge about warm soaking respondents was less than 10%. It is hoped that provide information to pregnant women about warm soaks regarding how to provide additional insight to increase pregnant women's knowledge about non-pharmacological therapy every month, namely warm soaks which aim to lower blood pressure. There has never been any education about warm soaks to reduce blood pressure in preclamptic mothers

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are known as chronic diseases but are not transmitted from person to person. The World Health Organization (WHO) predicts that in 2020 non-communicable diseases will be the cause of 73% of deaths in the world (Isa, 2017). Non-communicable diseases consist of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cancer, diabetes mellitus (DM), hyperthyroidism, hypertension, coronary heart disease (CHD), heart failure, stroke, chronic kidney failure, kidney stone disease and joint disease or rheumatism. Around 80% of all NCD deaths occur in low-income countries (Riau Provincial Health Office, 2019). Some factors that trigger non-communicable diseases are behavioral factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, lack of physical activity, fast food, lack of fruit and vegetable consumption, this is certainly a trigger for a person's physiological health. Community Service was carried out at the Putri Ayu Health Center which is a partner location of PkM STIKBA Jambi, the implementing team provided education to participants, the next activity the team provided leaflets. The team also provided questionnaires for pre and post, the results obtained an average knowledge of participants with a value of 4.4 and the results of the post with an average value of 6.3. from these results, an increase in knowledge was obtained after being educated. It is expected that the Putri Ayu Health Center, especially in the general polyclinic, will provide education to the community about non-communicable diseases

Abstract

Problems with mental disorders can occur from childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age, if not handled or treated will cause severe mental disorders that cause decreased productivity and burden the family. Mental disorder is a chronic disease that requires a long process of healing. The process of recovery and healing in people with mental disorders requires family support to determine the success of the recovery. There is a negative stigma against ODGJ (People with Mental Disorders) and their families causing ODGJ and their families to be isolated. For the family, stigma will cause a heavy psychological burden so that it has an impact on the inadequate support provided by the family in the ODGJ recovery process. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family stigma and caregiver burden in caring for patients with mental disorders at the mental hospital polyclinic in Jambi province. This research is a quantitative study with a correlation design using a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at the Jambi Province RSJD Polyclinic in September 2022-August 2023. The population was 597 people and the sample was 60 people. The samples in this study were families of mental patients accompanying outpatients at the Mental Hospital in Jambi Province. The research sample was taken using a purposive technique. sampling, and data collection was carried out using instruments (Internalized Stigma Mental Illnes) and Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI). Data analysis with univariate and bivariate analysis with statistical tests using chi square. The results of the study were obtained from 60 patient families, 32 patient families (53.3%) with high stigma and 30 patient families (50.0%) with mild to moderate family burden. Chi square value (sig) 0.003 <α 0.05. So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between family stigma and caregiver burden in the Inpatient Room of the Rumah Sakit Jiwa Provinsi Jambi.

Abstract

The increase in Covid-19 cases has now reached tens of millions of cases worldwide and in Indonesia itself in early February there has been an increase in cases to more than 270 thousand cases. The process of covid-19 transmission is quite fast, namely transmission between humans so that this pandemic cannot end because humans will always have mobility from one place to another. The protocol for oneself also needs to be built in a habit, especially when going in and out of the house because of having to work or have an urgent need. Community service activities are carried out in the form of health protocol education in and out of prevention of Covid-19 and provision of covid-19 prevention equipment which is carried out in RT 30 of Kenali Besar Village to 10 residents within the period of implementation from October to February 2021. Service activities include education, demonstrations, giving booklets, giving masks, handsanitizers and tissues. Before education, residents had high knowledge and habits as well as after education. However, some understanding and increasing better habits need to be realized by residents so that family members can avoid Covid19. Residents are quite enthusiastic and will try to familiarize themselves with health protocols in and out of the house so that family members can avoid Covid19.

Abstract

Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM) are the leading cause of death globally. One of the Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM) which is the most serious health problem today is hypertension. Factors that influence the occurrence of hypertension are both risk factors that cannot be changed, such as age, heredity, and risk factors that can be changed, namely consumption of salt, cholesterol, caffeine and alcohol, obesity, lack of exercise, stress and unstable emotional conditions such as anxiety. Management of anxiety nursing in hypertensive patients by administering five finger hypnosis therapy. The choice of giving five finger hypnotic therapy is because in general people with hypertension have problems with their thoughts, so if anxiety is not treated it will cause anxiety which can aggravate the patient's condition. The goal in providing community service is to increase respondents' knowledge about hypertension and the management of hypertension with five finger hypnosis. The method of providing community service is by conducting lectures, discussions, question and answer and demonstrations about hypertension and nursing management with five finger hypnosis. The method of measuring devotion was carried out pre-test and post-test of the respondent's knowledge about hypertension and the management of the five-finger hypnosis method. Respondents in this activity were hypertension sufferers in the Legok Village, RT 39, Jambi City, aged 45-60 years. The number of participants in the activity was 20 participants. The results of the activities carried out during the 1 week of the activity showed an increase in participants' knowledge about hypertension by 48%, and respondents were able to do five finger hypnosis by 52%.It can be concluded that there was an increase in participants' knowledge after carrying out the activity.

Abstract

Psychological and social pressure experienced by ODHA also has a negative impact so that ODHA becomes embarrassed, physically exhausted, limits activities, fears, and does not know what to do in the future. awareness of ODHA. In addition, the therapy carried out has not been independent of PLWHA to be able to handle the problems experienced in the long term. To overcome this problem, an intervention aimed at ODHA Mindfulness therapy. Mindfulness as a psychotherapy facilitated by nurses using the concept of self-care theory where nurses become nursing agencies to facilitate self-deficit experienced by ODHA who have mental problems. This research is a qualitative research method that aims to see the experience of ODHA following spiritual mindfulness therapy. This research will be conducted at the Putri Ayu Health Center Jambi in September 2021-August 2022. The results of this study were obtained after spiritual mindfulness therapy was carried out, the keywords were participants felt relieved, calm, comfortable, the burden on the mind, the burden on the chest, the burden on the shoulders felt reduced and disappeared.

Abstract

Gout arthritis is a disease that arises due to an increase in uric acid levels in the blood that exceed the threshold. Putri Ayu Health Center ranks first of the 20 puskesmas with the highest gout cases. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of warm compre of red ginger on reducing the scale of gouty arthritis pain of senior citizens in the Working Area of the Putri Ayu Health Center Jambi City. Pre-Experiment research method with One Group Pre-Post Test design. Data collection techniques through inteviews and pain scale measurements. The total population is 405 people, with a sample of 15 respondents. The analysis of this study was univariate and bivariate with paired t-tests. The results of  this study obtained a pain scale before a warm compress of red ginger averaged 5.00 and after being given an average of 3.20, with a difference of 1.80. The effect of the effectiveness of warm compresses of red ginger on reducing the scale of gouty arthritis pain in senior citizens in the Working Area of the Putri Ayu Health Center Jambi City with a p-value of 0.001. It is expected that warm compresses of red ginger can be one of non-pharmacological therapies that can be used to reduce the scale of gouty arthritis pain in senior citizens. Keywords: gout, pain scale, red ginger compress, senior citizens

Abstract

Babies born with Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) will experience various health problems. Respiratory Distress Syndrome is an acute and severe lung disease due to surfactant deficiency in infants. Cases of infants with RDS for 8 months in 2022 there were 10 cases every month at Hospital X, Jambi City. The purpose of this study was to determine the health status of infants with RDS who were treated, especially in breastfeeding. This population was infants with RDS who were treated in the Perinatology Room of Hospital X, Jambi City from January to August 2024 and a large sample size of 46 RDS infants. This study uses secondary data from medical records and research instruments in the form of a baby checklist consisting of variables such as age, gender, provision of liquid milk diet, oxygenation status, weight after being given a liquid milk diet and length of hospitalization for RDS babies. Exclusion criteria were infants referred to other hospitals, infants forcibly taken home by their parents, and RDS infants who died. Statistical analysis used Univariate Analysis. The results of the study found that the majority of newborns were over 37 weeks old, male, birth weight over 2,500 grams, diet given in the form of breast milk, respiratory rate after breastfeeding less than 60x/minute, baby weight after breastfeeding more than 2,500 grams and length of stay less than 4 weeks. This study is expected to be a reference in teaching nursing or health and can be used as further research.
