Abstract

Keselamatan pasien rumah sakit adalah sistem rumah sakit untuk membuat asuhan pasien lebihaman. Aman dari kemungkinan terjadinya resiko Insiden Keselamatan Pasien (IKP). Salah satu yangdapat mengatasi terjadinya keselamatan pasien adalah Model COPA meminta lebih kompeten,praktek yang aman, diverifikasi oleh pemeriksaan kinerja. Tujuannya untuk memperoleh analisispendekatan COPA Model dan faktor determinan perawat pelaksana dengan keselamatan pasien.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional.Populasinya adalah seluruh perawat pelaksana di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Abdul Manap KotaJambi. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 50 perawat dengan menggunakan teknik totalsampling.Pada analisis bivariat, didapatkan variabel keterampilan assessment dan intervensi, berkomunikasi,berfikir kritis, human caring dan relasi social, manajemen, kepemimpinan, pengajaran dan integrasiilmu pengetahuan, jenis kelamin, jenis pendidikan, lama kerja, status menikah, status kepegawaian,akreditasi kampus, IPK, terdapat hubungan yang bermakna dengan keselamatan pasien dengan pvalue< 0,005. Sedangkan untuk menguji masing-masing variabel dependen dengan variabelindependen digunakan uji chi square. Analisis multivariat menggunakan uji regresi logistik.Untuk itu bagi rumah sakit dalam penerimaan pegawai diperlukan pertimbangan dalam segi faktorketerampilan, bagi ketenagaan perawat untuk mengikuti pelatihan keselamatan pasien dan rumahsakit melengkapi SPO dan peralatan yang kurang.

Abstract

The safety of hospital patients is the hospital system to make patient care safer. Safe from the possibility of the risk of Patient Safety Incidents (IKP). One that can override the Model COPA patient safety is requesting more competent, safe practices, verified by examination performance. This study used a descriptive correlation design with cross sectional approach. The goal is to obtain COPA analysis model approach and the determinant factors of nurses with patient safety. The population is all nurses in inpatient hospital Abdul Manap city of Jambi. The number of samples in this study were 50 nurses using total sampling technique. In the bivariate analysis, obtained variables skills assessment and intervention, communication, critical thinking, human caring and relations of social, management, leadership, teaching and integration of science, gender, type of education, length of work, married status, employment status, accreditation campus, GPA, there is a significant association with patient safety with p-value <0.005. Meanwhile, to test each dependent variable and independent variables used chi square test. Multivariate analysis using logistic regression. For that to hospitals in hiring the necessary consideration in terms of the skill factor, for workforce training nurses for patient safety and hospital complements the SPO and equipment less.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a condition in which the systolic blood pressure is more than 120 mmHg, and the diastolic pressure is more than 80 mmHg. Lavender aromatherapy is a way to cure sickness which uses essential oil. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyse the effect of lavender aromatherapy on the changes in blood pressure in the Elderly with essential hypertension Methods: This study used a pra-experiment pretest and posttest design where the measurement of blood pressure is done twice before the lavender aromatherapy is given (pretest) and after the lavender aromatherapy is given (posttest). The population of this study is the patients with essential hypertension in the work area of one of the Public Health Centers in Jambi, Indonesia in 2018 which is 627 patients. Meanwhile, the sample used in this study is Purposive Sampling. The method used in this study is univariate and bivariate data analysis using T-Test. Results: Statistical test result shows that there was a significant effect of giving lavender aromatherapy on changes in blood pressure of patients with essential hypertension with p < 0.05; systole (p = 0.001) and diastole (p < 0.001). Conclusions: The use of alternative lavender aromatherapy as a therapy used to lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension. It is suggested to researchers who are interested to examine this topic of the effect of lavender aromatherapy on blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension to do further research in the same scope with a different variable.

Abstract

Background: Puskesmas as public health facility encounter challenges in facing COVID-19, including nurses who provides care for patients who faces challenges in this emergency. The frequent interaction of nurses with patients put nurses in a high risk of being exposed to COVID-19. This situation triggers a negative stigma towards nurses in the community which impacted a lot of nurses. Purpose: The purpose of this study is the relation between anxiety level and stigma on nurses during the COVID -19 pandemic. Methods: The study used a descriptive analytic study with a cross-sectional study design with 96 respondents from Puskesmas Jambi City. Statistical test used in this research is Chi Square. Results: Statistical test result shows that there is a significant relation between stigma and anxiety on nurses in Puskesmas Jambi city with p value=0.001. Conclusions: Nurses are COVID-19 front liners, who are always exposed with patients, along with the stigma that comes from the community. The stigma could affect the nurses psychologically. Therefore, more attention is needed regarding this matter. Increasing public knowledge regarding infectious disease is one of the first steps in handling this issue as it could change the public perception regarding COVID-19 and its urgently needed to eliminate the negative stigma against nurses. for the next study, it can be a reference and research more about other factors that cause anxiety in nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is the main gynecological problem that is most often complained of by adolescents, and the most common is primary Dysmenorrhea. Junior high school is the period when teenagers begin to adapt to the menstruation they experience, they need more knowledge related to this. The problem of menstrual disorders is the first largest order in Jambi City with a total of 1143 adolescents experiencing menstrual disorders and the Rawasari Health Center Work Area with the highest number of 258 cases. SMP N16 is a state junior high school located in the Rawasari Health Center working area, based on a survey of 5 dominant SMP N 16 students who said that almost every month they experience Dysmenorrhea, this can affect student learning processes, reduce learning concentration and of course will affect student achievement, in dealing with it they only consume pain relievers. This requires independent treatment to minimize the use of pharmacological drugs. Therefore, early adolescents need information and socialization regarding independent handling when they experience Dysmenorrhea. This community service was carried out on 20 female students using the lecture method and video playback, the material provided was about Dysmenorrhea and some self-management with compresses and steps to use several herbs to relieve Dysmenorrhea. After community service from the results of the evaluation by distributing pre and post questionnaires, it was found that the average knowledge of female students was 3.7 about Dysmenorrhea and independent handling of Dysmenorrhea. This community service can provide benefits for students in overcoming Dysmenorrhea and it is hoped that the UKS can socialize it to other students

Abstract

Corona Virus Disease (Covid) is a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from mild to severe symptoms. Indonesia is the country with the highest number of Covid-19 cases in Southeast Asia and ranked 18th in the world with a total of 2,229,938 cases (2 July 2021). The most common symptoms of Covid-19 are fever, fatigue and a dry cough. Some patients may experience aches and pains, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat or diarrhea. These symptoms are usually mild and occur gradually. Some infected people do not experience any symptoms and do not feel any problems with their bodies. Diseases caused by viruses are generally self-limiting diseases that rely on the body's defenses. Because it has been widely campaigned to increase the body's resistance to prevent contracting viral infections, and even if infected, the body will be strong against it. Therefore, community service activities aim to improve the quality of public health by providing information to increase immunity through Indonesian herbal medicines. This activity will be held in September 2021 – February 2022 at the Fathayat Nahdatul Ulama Community at the Nurul Iman Islamic Boarding School, Muaro Jambi district. The target in this activity is the women of the Fathayat Nahdatul Ulama Community, Muaro Jambi district. The minimum number of participants is 50 people. This service activity received extraordinary enthusiasm from the participants as evidenced by the presence of all participants from the beginning to the end of the activity and the feedback from participants in the form of questions or experiences from participants in the material on increasing body immunity with herbal plants.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a group of heterogeneous disorders that marked with glucose level in the blood or usually called hiperglikemia. Most of mellitus patient did not check their glucose level unless there’s some symptoms that made them felt uncomfortable. The worse a person control their blood sugar, the more vulnerable they are to get a complication. There are several steps that could help to achieve a fully healthy condition, such as controlling lifestyle, eating habits, resting period, and exercise as suggested by health workers. Therefore, the community service activities targeted to improving elders concerns about diabetes mellitus. This activity held on December 2020 to January 2021 at Rumah Perawatan Al-Thaf Jambi. The object for this activity is elders that come to visit Rumah Perawatan Al-Thaf Jambi. In total, there were 10 Elders. All elders that participated in this activity able to follow the Educational learning events from beginning until the end of the session so that they can get the maximum results. This activity outputs is the increase of elders’ health quality so that they can live healthily and independently.

Abstract

Adolescent nutrition and health issues need to be considered because adolescents are the next generation that determines the quality of human resources. Likewise, adolescents who are living in marginal conditions such as the Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) need to receive special attention due to the lack of access to information and nutrition education in these groups. Therefore, the purpose of this service is to educate adolescent nutrition and health in the indigenous community of Suku Anak Dalam (SAD). This activity was carried out in June - August 2020, in Pematang Kabau Village, Sarolangun Regency. The target is 10 SAD adolescents. This activity consists of providing education with power point media, leaflets, posters, and videos, as well as demonstrations using food models. The outputs of the community service activities are: (1) Media leaflets and health nutrition posters and; (2) Application of balanced nutrition in adolescents. The results showed that  a better change to aspects of nutritional knowledge where most targets can recognize and mention foods that are good for health, and can exemplify simple ways of monitoring nutritional status such as weighing, height, and measurement of Upper Arm Circumference. Based on this activity it is necessary to collaborate efforts from village officials, nutrition cadres and health workers to carry out routine nutrition and health monitoring on SAD adolescents so as to improve the health status of the SAD community.

Abstract

Backround: The problem of malaria is becoming increasingly difficult to overcome and is expected to be an obstacle to successful health development. Malaria re-attacks are related to the existence of malaria vector namely environmental condition, physical condition of house and human that is immunity, drug resistance and behavior (night habit at night, habit of wearing mosquito net, habit of using mosquito repellent). This study aims to determine the relationship between behavior and physical condition of the house with malaria recurrence in the Work Area Puskesmas Sungai Abang District VII koto Tebo DistrictMethod: This research is a quantitative cross sectional design. The study was conducted in September 2015 with a sample size of 30 respondents. Data were obtained using questionnaire, univariate and bivariate analyzed, looking for correlation using chi-square test.The result: of the research analysis is known from 30 respondents, it is known 56,7% of respondents happened malaria recurrence, 70% of respondents have good behavior, 83,3% of respondent have physical condition of house at high risk. The result of statistical test shows that there is correlation between physical condition of house with malaria recurrence (p = 0,009) and there is no correlation of behavior with malaria recurrence (p = 0,691).It is hoped that health workers will provide health information to the community through activities such as hygiene contest for each RT, in preventing malaria

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis (pulmonary TB) is an infectious disease directly caused by tuberculosis bacteria (Mycobacterium tuberculosa) which is transmitted through the air (droplet nuclei) when a tuberculosis patient coughs and spray saliva containing the bacteria are inhaled by others during breathing.Method: This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional design. Population in this research is 63 respondents, the sample amounted to 58 respondents. The sampling technique using total sampling technique. The study was conducted on 7 April to 13 April 2015.Result: The results showed that the respondents have a high knowledge of the prevention of transmission of Pulmonary TB either as many as 15 people (55.6%) , and respondents who have low knowledge to the prevention of transmission of Pulmonary TB unfavorable as many as 25 people (80.6%). Chi-square test results showed that there is a relationship between knowledge and prevention of pulmonary TB transmission in Puskesmas Muaro with a p-value of 0.010 (p <0.05).Respondents who have a good attitude to the prevention of transmission of Pulmonary TB either as many as 18 people (78.3%), respondents who have a poor attitude to the prevention of transmission of Pulmonary TB unfavorable as many as 32 people (91.4%). Chi-square test results showed that there was a significant relationship between attitudes to the prevention of pulmonary TB transmission in Puskesmas Muaro KumpehKabupaten Muaro Jambi 2015 with a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05).
