Abstract

The dissemination activity of exploring damen (rice straw) waste as liquid organic fertilizer is a form of Tridharma of higher education for community service practiced by four lecturers. This activity has several main goals: increasing public awareness, particularly among residents of RT 20 Sadar Sriwijaya Village, Bandar Sribhawono District, about the importance of utilizing damen waste to be used as liquid organic fertilizer, rather than being thrown away or simply burned after the harvesting process is complete. Socialization activities are carried out in two ways: material delivery and practice daily. Based on the socialization, it was discovered that the participants achieved the socialization's objectives with good criteria in general. As a result, the public knowledge, particularly among residents of RT 20 Sadar Sriwijaya Village, Bandar Sribhawono District, East Lampung Regency, on the use of damen waste and chicken eggshell waste is still low, so socialization is required to raise awareness of the use of agricultural waste as fertilizer

Abstract

This report analyzes the Quality of Service (QoS) of 4G LTE networks from Telkomsel and XL operators in Painan, West Sumatra. Along with the rapid advancement of telecommunications technology, improving service quality is a top priority. This research uses drive test method with TEMS Pocket application to measure latency, jitter, packet loss, and throughput parameters. The analysis results show that Telkomsel has a higher throughput, reaching 4362 Kbps, compared to XL's 4013 Kbps. Latency for both operators was measured to be poor, at 1554 ms for Telkomsel which was slightly better than XL with 1677 ms. Jitter also showed similar results, with Telkomsel at 1554 ms and XL at 1677 ms. In addition, packet loss on Telkomsel was recorded at 0.021% and on XL at 0.14%, both of which fall into the excellent category. These findings provide insights for operators to improve network quality and overcome existing problems. Thus, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of 4G network performance in the Painan area and serves as a reference for the development of telecommunications infrastructure in the Painan area, especially Indonesia.

Abstract

Matlab software was applied in solving physics cases in electronics using value calculation programs and Eigenvectors. The physics case solved is an moving oscillator circuit consisting of five capacitors and four inductors. The purpose of this program is to determine the value and the Eigenvectors that can be obtained. The method used is to utilize the problem of values and Eigenvectors in the Matlab program. In the case of oscillator motion, each capacitor's size and inductor system have been determined according to the system.. The equation of motion for the capacitor and inductor system is reviewed at each point of the inductor and the function used is  called the ansatz function, then differentiated twice concerning time. By using the Matlab program application, the results obtained show that by using eig (Eigen) command the Matlab program can accurately show the results of running (execution) values and Eigenvector.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 2 Padang dengan fokus pada jurusan Teknik Jaringan Komputer dan Telekomunikasi. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman serta keterampilan siswa dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem pintar berbasis Internet of Things (IoT). Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra meliputi keterbatasan pemahaman tentang konsep IoT, minimnya pengalaman praktik, keterbatasan sarana prasarana, serta kesiapan siswa menghadapi tuntutan dunia kerja. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan dilakukan melalui tahapan persiapan, penyusunan materi, pelaksanaan pelatihan, praktik langsung, serta evaluasi. Materi pelatihan mencakup pemrograman dasar mikrokontroler Arduino, pengoperasian sensor dan aktuator, hingga penerapan IoT menggunakan ESP32/ESP8266 yang terintegrasi dengan aplikasi Blynk dan Telegram. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada aspek pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kompetensi siswa, yang dibuktikan melalui evaluasi kuesioner dengan mayoritas responden memberikan penilaian positif. Meskipun manfaat ekonomi belum sepenuhnya dirasakan secara langsung, kegiatan ini telah memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam menyiapkan siswa menghadapi perkembangan teknologi sekaligus menjadi fondasi bagi terciptanya peluang pengembangan di masa mendatang.
