Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of organizational culture in improving employee performance at PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk, especially senior employees at the Human Capital Strategic Management division. PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk create a team named Culture Agent to communicate about the transformation of the culture in company. In the results of the study it can be concluded that changes in organizational culture can improve employee performance in completing the given task. And also can eliminate the seniority attitude that exists in PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk.

Abstract

This research discusses about law No. 14 year 2008, the openness of public information implemented by the officers of the information and documentation Officer (PPID) Kemkominfo. The Act on public information disclosure aims to improve the management, service of information, and encourage public participation in the conduct of the State so as to realize the system of good governance. The purpose of this research is to describe how the Official information and documentation Manager (PPID) of the Ministry of communication and Informatics of carrying out the implementation of law No. 14 year 2008 about the openness of public information. The method used in this research is descriptive in nature with qualitative data collection techniques in the form of interviews with the informant Acting Manager of information and documentation. Data analysis techniques using models, Miles and Huberman that consists of data collection, data reduction, data display and verification, and assertion inference. Examination technique benefiting using triangulation of sources. The results of this research show the implementation ACT KIP done with through the six steps, namely: designating the PPID, build and make the system functional officials, pointing to information (public relations, archives, computer), providing information in the form (text, video, sound, infographics), providing information services in the form of front desk and website, as well as compiling daily, monthly and annual reports.

Abstract

Two years of COVID-19 pandemic have brought global consequences, especially to those operating in business. This paper examines how risk and crisis preparedness contributed to business survival and resilience in the hospitality sector in Bali, Indonesia, a market significantly dependent on international visitors. This qualitative research employing a phenomenological approach. Initial data were acquired from two months of  observation in Bali from March 2020 until the end of May 2020. In addition to observation, semi structured interviews were also conducted with informants from four different hotels, aiming to uncover if the hotels embraced some strategies from the proactive pre-crisis planning to strategic implementations during the crisis. We did not include the after-crisis stage as the pandemic is still ongoing. The researchers validated findings through triangulating interviews with Balinese authorities. We found that although the current crisis disrupted hotel business, it also provided opportunities for creative communication, security strategies, and new connections with public sector health management. Further, in the early stages of crisis management preparedness and focused communication were vital for the level of survivability of the hotels. The study concluded that during a crisis, a successful organization management team does not follow a linear and organized process to lead their business through the stressful and chaotic phases. Based on this study, we  learned that business managers who adapted to the situation with crisis preparation, combined with raised awareness of public health issues, and use of commercial strategies focused on local communities can successfully reduce threats.

Abstract

The utilization of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines is essential for accurate disease diagnoses, necessitating radiographers to undergo a ten-day training regimen. While existing studies often concentrate on interpersonal communication in healthcare, this research explores the reciprocal development of reflexive action and interpretation during MRI training in Indonesian hospitals, employing the Coordinated Management of Meaning (CMM) Theory and integrating intercultural communication obstacles. Employing participatory observation, key informant interviews, and focus group discussions, the study unveils that trainers employ both verbal and non-verbal communication, including orientation, empathy, and dynamic interactions. The results highlight reciprocal, proactive communication strategies between trainers and trainees, emphasizing mindfulness, emotional vulnerability mitigation, honest communication, and the cultivation of functional behaviors. This research contributes not only to health communication literature, particularly MRI training but also advances practical insights into intercultural communication research.
