Abstract

This research entitled "the potential of uwi tubers (Dioscorea alata L) against white mice rats". The aim of this research was to determine the potential of uwi tubers to eradicate rats or other plant pests. This research was conducted over a period of two months starting from January 2021 to February 2021, to test the effect of uwi tubers, a randomized block design method (RBD) was used with six treatments, namely treatment (P0) as a control without giving uwi tubers, treatment one ( P1) by giving 5 grams of uwi tubers, treatment two (P2) by giving 10 grams of uwi tubers, treatment three (P3) with giving 15 grams of uwi tubers, treatment four (P4) with giving 20 grams of uwi tubers and treatment five (P5) with the provision of 25 grams of uwi tubers, and each treatment was repeated four times so that the total number of treatments became 24. In testing the potential of uwi tubers (dioscorea alata L) against white mice, uwi tubers with 15 grams in treatment three (P3) gave good results good compared to other treatments indicated by the average number of weight loss in rats, namely 17.75 gram

Abstract

Dayak onions (Eleutherine sp.) are plants that are often found in the Kalimantan region. Dayak onion tubers are plants that contain flavonoid compounds so they have the potential to be developed and used as traditional medicine by the community. The chemical compounds contained in Dayak onions include 15 compounds including flavonoid and naphthaquinone derivatives. Several studies show the extract's activity as anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, anticancer, antidiabetic, antimicrobial. This research aims to find out about the Dayak onion plant which is still very lacking, especially in its development as a raw material for the development of biopharmaceuticals. Until now, the development and use of this plant is very minimal, even though the benefits of this plant have long been felt by local rural communities

Abstract

Citrus are a local fruit that is widely available on the market. The quality of citrus fruit can be influenced by various factors, including attacks by Citrus Vein Phloem Degeneration (CVPD). CVPD is a disease of citrus plants, known as citrus greening, yellow shoot, leaf mottle (Philippines), likubin or decline (Taiwan), citrus dieback (India), blotchy-mottle or mottling disease (Africa); with the international name huanglongbing (China). CVPD disease is classified as one of the important diseases in citrus plants which has developed widely and is the main obstacle to efforts to develop and increase orange production in Bali. PCR analysis to detect the presence of CVPD disease is carried out using specific primers from 16S rDNA. Based on the results of observing symptoms in Karangasem Regency, the percentage of damage due to CVPD ranges from 61% to 87%. The average percentage of citrus plants showing symptoms of CVPD attack was 72.67%, the lowest percentage was experienced by tangerines and the highest was shown by Selayar oranges (87%).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving different cow biourine on the hydroponic system to get the best growth and yield of land kangkung plants. The design used in this study was a randomized block design (RAK). With 6 treatments of giving cow biourine, K1: cow biourine giving 100 ml/1 liter of water, K2: giving 200 ml/1 liter, K3: giving 300 ml/1 liter, K4: given 400 ml/1 liter, K5: given 500 ml/1 liter and K6: given 600 ml/1 liter of water. With 4 replications and 24 trials. The results of the research on the effect of giving cow biourine on growth parameters and yields of land kangkung in a hydroponic system showed a very significant effect on all parameters. The conclusion of this study was that the highest yield was obtained by giving biourine 300 ml/1 liter of water such as the highest plant height (K3 = 45.80 cm), the highest number of leaves (K3 = 15.00 pieces), leaf area (K3=102.25 cm), total wet weight of plants (K3=40.03 g) and oven-dry weight of plants (K3=2.19 g). giving biorine 300 ml/1 liter of water is the right way to get the best yield of land kangkung in a hydroponic system compared to giving 100 ml/1 liter of water; administration of 200 ml/1 liter of water; administration of 400 ml/1 liter of water; administration of 500 ml/1 liter of water; administration of 600 ml / 1 liter of water.

Abstract

Pakcoy plant is a vegetable plant that is in great demand by people in Indonesia because it has nutritional value, contains fiber, vitamins A, B, B2, B6, and C, calcium, phosphorus, copper, magnesium, iron, and protein. high economy. Currently, many agricultural lands in Indonesia are in very poor condition, because they are damaged and poor in nutrients. One of the main causes is due to the use of inorganic (non-biological) fertilizers, which do not pay attention to the dosage or are excessive. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) method with 5 treatments, namely treatment with a dose of biochar 100 g/10 kg of soil (B1), a dose of biochar of 150 g/10 kg of soil (B2), a dose of biochar of 200 g/10 kg of soil (B3). , the dose of biochar is 250 g/10 kg of soil (B4), the dose of biochar is 300 g/10 kg of soil (B5). Each treatment was repeated four times so that all treatments became 20. The results showed that the application of coconut shell biochar 200 g/10 kg of soil gave the best growth results for all parameters observed

Abstract

Brassica rapa L or commonly called mustard pakcoy is one of the most popular types of vegetables in Indonesia, because mustard pakcoy is one of the varieties that contain various health benefits. This study aims to determine "The Influence of Nutrient Soluble Media Sources on Hydroponic Technology on The Growth and Yields of Pakcoy Plants (Brassica rapa L)". The method used was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 5 treatments of hydroponic nutrient solvent media. Treatment P1 (30 ltr AC water and 330 ml AB mix), P2 (30 ltr PDAM water and 330 ml AB mix), P3 (30 ltr well water and 330 ml AB mix), P4 (30 ltr irrigation water and 330 ml AB mix and P5 (30 liters of River Water and 330 ml of AB mix). The results showed that treatment P2 (30 liters of PDAM water and 330 ml of AB mix) gave the best growth and yields on the parameters of plant height (cm) and number of leaves (sheet). Meanwhile, the P1 treatment gave the best growth and yield on the parameters of leaf area (cm2), total plant fresh weight (g) and total plant oven dry weight (g).
