Abstract

Kanker payudara merupakan jenis tumor ganas yang berasal dari sel-sel kelenjar, saluran kelenjar, serta jaringan penunjang di payudara, yang sering kali menjadi penyebab utama kematian pada wanita. Tingkat kesehatan seseorang juga dipengaruhi oleh perilaku kesehatannya, sehingga perubahan perilaku menuju gaya hidup sehat sangat penting, terutama dalam upaya deteksi dini kanker payudara melalui pemeriksaan payudara sendiri (SADARI). Pemahaman mengenai kanker payudara perlu ditingkatkan, khususnya dalam hal deteksi awal terhadap perubahan yang terjadi pada payudarai. Berdasarkan analisis permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat dalam kegiatan pengabdian, ditemukan bahwa mayoritas wanita usia subur (WUS) masih memiliki keterbatasan pengetahuan mengenai kanker payudara. Sebagian besar hanya mengetahui sekilas tentang kanker payudara tetapi belum mendapatkan informasi yang cukup mengenai SADARI, apalagi mempraktikkannya. Kurangnya sosialisasi mengenai teknik pemeriksaan payudara sendiri menjadi salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya kesadaran akan pentingnya deteksi dini. Sebagai solusi atas permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan edukasi mengenai SADARI bagi wanita usia subur yang belum memahami manfaat dan pentingnya pemeriksaan mandiri payudara. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan pre-test menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengukur pemahaman awal peserta mengenai SADARI. Selanjutnya, diberikan penyuluhan kesehatan mengenai teknik dan manfaat pemeriksaan payudara sendiri. Hasil post-test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta setelah mengikuti kegiatan edukasi, dimana tingkat pengetahuan mereka meningkat dari 16,7% menjadi 56,7%. Abstract

Nursing care in the pediatric ward is measured based on parental satisfaction. Parental satisfaction is achieved when the child's needs for nursing care are met during hospitalization. If performance falls below expectations, customers will be dissatisfied, but if performance exceeds expectations, customers will feel satisfied or happy. To improve quality, one approach is to measure patient and family satisfaction with the implementation of Family-Centered Care in the hospital. Prioritizing patient and family satisfaction is a hallmark of high-quality healthcare services. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of Family-Centered Care on family satisfaction for children hospitalized at RSU Andi Makkasau Parepare. This survey is a quantitative study using an analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used is accidental sampling. The population of respondents was 60 respondents. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula with a sample of 53 respondents. The instruments used were the Family-Centered Care questionnaire and the family satisfaction questionnaire using a Likert scale. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square Correlation statistical test and analyzed using statistical analysis. The results of the study found that there was an effect of the implementation of Family-Centered Care on family satisfaction in children hospitalized at RSU Andi Makkasau Parepare, with a significance level of p-value = 0.000 < 0.05. The conclusion of the study is that there is a significant effect between Family-Centered Care and the level of family satisfaction in children hospitalized at RSU Andi Makkasau Parepare. Therefore, it is hoped that nurses can maintain the implementation of Family-Centered Care to improve service and satisfaction through nursing care. Abstract

Background & Objective: Researchers analyzed the effect of the SOWAN program on the independence of TB patients physically, psychological management, socially and spiritually. Method: The design used was quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach. With 40 respondents who met the criteria selected as samples with 20 people in the intervention group and 20 others as controls. The intervention created was a health education package called SOWAN, an abbreviation of support, observation, welfare and action. Results: The results showed that there was an increase in the independence of respondents in the intervention group after using the SOWAN program (average before intervention 32.8667 and after intervention 55.33) and the difference value was significant p = 0.000. In addition, there was also a significant difference between the intervention group and the control group after the intervention became p 0.000. This is also seen from the use of the health card. The condition used by respondents in the intervention group after conducting the SOWAN program for 6 weeks increased from an average of 3 to 4.9 (range of values ​​1 - 5). Conclusion: this shows that the SOWAN program has proven to be effective in making TB clients independent in physical, psychological, social and spiritual independence. So this SOWAN program is recommended for use in Nursing with other chronic diseases through maternal and child health programs.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most prevalent non-communicable diseases and remains a major concern in public health. Public knowledge about hypertension plays a crucial role in its prevention and management. Objective This study aimed to describe the level of public knowledge about hypertension in the working area of the Suppa Public Health Center, Pinrang Regency. Methods This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. A total of 47 respondents were selected using Slovin’s formula from the population in the Suppa Health Center area. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire with dichotomous choices (Yes/No). Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics in the form of frequency and percentage distributions. Results The study revealed that the majority of respondents had good knowledge of hypertension, with 43 people (91.5%) categorized as having good knowledge and 4 people (8.5%) with sufficient knowledge. Respondents’ knowledge was influenced by their education level, information sources, and media exposure. Conclusion Most of the community members in the Suppa Health Center area have good knowledge of hypertension. This reflects the effectiveness of ongoing health education efforts. Continued and enhanced health promotion is recommended to maintain and improve community awareness.
