Abstract

Introduction: Chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy experience various physical and mental problems that contribute to psychological disorders such as stress and anxiety. It can affect the mental and physical components of poor quality of life. A stress ball is one of the therapies that is considered the cheapest and easiest to use for dealing with stress and anxiety. Purpose: To determine the effect of Stress Ball on Stress and Anxiety in hemodialysis patients. Methods: The research design is a quasi-experimental one-group pre and post-test. The research sample was 34 hemodialysis patients members of Komunitas Pasien Cuci Darah Indonesia Jawa Barat (KCPDI West Java) with consecutive sampling techniques. Bivariate analysis using paired t-test. Respondents were asked to squeeze a stress ball for approximately 20-30 minutes in eight successive dialysis sessions. The instruments used are the Distress thermometer (DT) and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Results: Stress ball intervention affects stress and anxiety levels in HD patients with each P-value of 0.000. The average difference between pre-test and post-test stress levels is 1.55 with the at-count value of 6.95 > t-table 2.03. At the same time, the difference between the average pre-test and post-test anxiety levels is 5.74 with an at-count value of 6.25> t-table 2.03. Conclusion: Stress ball has been proven to reduce stress and anxiety levels in hemodialysis patients. Suggestion: Stress balls can be non-pharmacological therapy to reduce stress and anxiety problems for hemodialysis patients.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of emotional intelligence on job satisfaction which is mediated by self-efficacy. This research was conducted on state elementary school teachers in Nanga Wera Village, Wera District, Bima Regency. Data was collected using an online survey method. The respondents in this investigation were educators who taught at state primary educational institutions in Nanga Wera village, Wera subdistrict, Bima Regency. The number of respondents to this study was 52 people and were identified using an online questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using a statistical regression approach using SmartPLS software. The research results show that there is a significant positive influence between teacher emotional intelligence and job satisfaction, and self-efficacy has a significant mediating influence on how job satisfaction and emotional intelligence are related.

Abstract

Introduction: The success of efforts to prevent stroke risk can be achieved by providing information by exposure to information that can increase health literacy. Providing audiovisual-based education is expected to be able to convey information related to stroke risk prevention effectively. Objective: The purpose of this public service was to improve health literacy among stroke risk groups through stroke prevention audiovisual-based education. Method: This public service was conducted by giving audiovisual material about stroke prevention to stroke-risk groups of people. Result: All participants were given the education fully. Health literacy shows improvement after being given the education. Conclusion: The results of this community service show that audiovisual education influences increasing health literacy. Educational activities can be carried out by recruiting larger students and conducting education in a more comfortable environment so that the purpose of education can work optimally.

Abstract

Pendahuluan : Penyakit jantung koroner adalah penyakit jantung yang disebabkan oleh penyempitan pembuluh darah koroner akibat penumpukan kolesterol, timbunan lemak, dan zat lain (plak) pada dinding pembuluh darah koroner yang dapat menyebabkan aterosklerosis dan akhirnya menghambat suplai darah ke jantung. Perkembangan penyakit ini dapat dicegah dengan penatalaksanaan pengobatan yang tepat dan teratur, salah satunya dengan kepatuhan minum obat. Kepatuhan minum obat merupakan aspek utama pengobatan penyakit jantung koroner (PJK). Tujuan: untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepatuhan minum obat pada pasien penyakit jantung koroner. Metode: Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan studi cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien penyakit jantung koroner yang datang untuk pemeriksaan rutin di Poliklinik Jantung RSAU Dr. M. Salamun Bandung dengan sampel sebanyak 67 orang, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Hasil: Hasil Pada penelitian ini didapatkan hasil yang signifikan antara usia (0,000), lama sakit (0,004), self-efficacy (0,001), dan dukungan keluarga (0,029) dengan kepatuhan minum obat pada pasien penyakit jantung koroner. Kesimpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa faktor yang paling berpengaruh dalam penelitian ini adalah usia mempengaruhi kepatuhan minum obat pada pasien penyakit jantung koroner dengan p-value 0,000 (p<0,05)
