Abstract

The Universal Health Coverage program was implemented in 2014, have several impacts, one of the impacts is to increase patient visits to first-level or upper-level health facilities. Patient visits data used to compile the medical performance that will be assessed and evaluated by Dinas Kesehatan Central Java Province. The average patient visits in several working of Public Health Center known as Balkesmas in Central Java Province show a significant decrease. Meanwhile, the COVID-19 pandemic makes Balkesmas employees concerned about their health safety and their family’s health safety. Therefore, organizational support and work engagement are very important to feel comfortable and safe at work to improve their performance. The purpose of the research is to examine Balkesmas employees’ performance system through perceived organizational support and work engagement. This research methodology is quantitative research and used questionnaires distributed to 86 employees. Research hypotheses were tested used the structural equation model method with the SmartPLS 3.0 program. All of the research hypotheses are acceptable and show a significant effect, so it can be concluded that the better of perceived organizational support and the higher of work engagement, employees' performance will be increased.

Abstract

Organizational support and work engagement are important for public health personnel at Balai Kesehatan Masyarakat to feel comfortable and safe at the workplace. Patient visits data assessed and evaluated by Dinas Kesehatan Central Java Province shows that the average patient visits within the last five years in several working areas at Balai Kesehatan Masyarakat Central Java Province significantly decrease. The purpose of the research is to examine public health personnel’s performance through perceived organizational support and work engagement. This research used a quantitative research method and questionnaires distributed to 86 public health personnel in Balai Kesehatan Masyarakat that were tested using SEM-PLS with smart pls 3.0 program. The findings show that perceived organizational support and work engagement significantly affect performance; thus, all of the hypothesis is acceptable.

Abstract

Organizations and human resources face rapid changes and significant challenges, including employees of Balai Kesehatan Masyarakat Semarang and Ambarawa to require them to adapt and find new effective ways to deal with these changes and challenges. Patient visits and health services data are evaluated and assessed to measure how good the health level service is. This research aims to determine that job crafting and work engagement can improve the performance of employees at Balai Kesehatan Masyarakat Semarang and Ambarawa. The population of this research is all employees of Balai Kesehatan Masyarakat Semarang and Ambarawa, totaling 109 employees, and the sample obtained was 86 people. The data collection method used observation and questionnaires, and the data analysis method used the SEM PLS method with the SmartPLS 3.0 analysis. The results showed that all hypotheses in this research were accepted and showed a positive and significant effect. Suggestions for further research can involve the entire UPT Balai Kesehatan Masyarakat Central Java Province.
