Abstract

Background: Transmission in radiology facilities must be prevented by taking additional infection control precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic. A number of variables, including knowledge and attitudes, affect how an action is applied. The association between dentistry professional students’ knowledge and attitudes about the COVID-19 pandemic infection control protocol at the RSIGM Sultan Agung radiology installation is to be evaluated. Method: Analytic-observational research was used in this case, with a cross-sectional analysis of 139 samples. Validity and reliability tests have been done on the questionnaire. This study was conducted online using Google Forms for data collection, and SPSS 25 was used for the correlation test. Result: The results of the analysis show a significant correlation with a positive direction. Correlation strength (r) 0.263 indicates a weak correlation strength between the two variables. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between these two variables. The implementation of infection control procedures at the Sultan Agung RSIGM radiology installation during pandemic COVID-19 from a knowledge and attitude perspective was still imperfect.

Abstract

Background: Gypsum is a material widely utilized in dental medicine for imprinting study models in prosthesis manufacturing. Dimensional stability is a crucial requirement for achieving optimal gypsum imprints. The addition of potassium sulfate to type III gypsum may serve as a solution to enhance dimensional stability. This study aims to compare the dimensional  stability values of type  III gypsum with  the  addition of 4% potassium sulfate against type III gypsum without the addition of potassium sulfate.Methode: This research employs an experimental design with a post-test-only control group. A total of 32 specimens were produced using gypsum molds in accordance with ADA no. 19. The specimens were divided into two groups: the first group consisting of type III gypsum with added potassium sulfate, and the second group comprising type III gypsum without added potassium sulfate. Data were subjected to non-paired parametric t-tests.Result: The mean value for the type III gypsum group without potassium sulfate addition was 0.0288±0.00052%, while the mean value for the type III gypsum group with potassium sulfate addition was 0.0058±0.00040%. The non-paired t-test results revealed a p-value of 0.000.Conclussion: Based on the conducted research, the addition of potassium sulfate to type III gypsum resulted in enhanced dimensional stability.

Abstract

The quality of service at the hospital must be optimal so that patient satisfaction is met. One application of service quality, namely the tangible dimension, is still not implemented well and does not have a significant influence on patient satisfaction. This research aims to determine the influence and assessment of the application of tangible dimension elements on patient satisfaction at RSIGM Sultan Agung Semarang. This research method uses analytical observational research (cross sectional) with an accidental sampling technique of 97 respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire consisting of 15 tangible dimension question items and 5 patient satisfaction question items. Then a reliability validity test, normality test and non-parametric test, namely the Spearman correlation test, were carried out. The research results showed that there was a significant influence of the tangible dimension on patient satisfaction (p=0.000). The implementation of the tangible dimension is good with 54.9% answers being very satisfied and the level of patient satisfaction at RSIGM Sultan Agung Semarang is good with 59.4% answers being very satisfied. The conclusion obtained from this research is that there is an influence between the tangible dimension and the level of patient satisfaction, where the better the implementation of the elements of the tangible dimension, the better the level of patient satisfaction.
