Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan model Discovery Learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan. Jenis yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan Metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK).Sumber data adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan yang berjumlah 29 orang siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes dan observasi. Pelaksanaan dikatakan berhasil bila >75% dari jumlah siswa memperoleh skor kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) Akhir tindakan >75%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I memperoleh persentase 68% dan terjadi peningkatan pada siklus II 89%. Aktivitas guru pada siklus I tindakan I dengan persentase 71,25% dan hasil observasi pada tindakan II dengan persentase 78,75%. Sedangkan aktivitas guru siklus I tindakan I dengan persentase 87,5%, dan hasil obsevasi pada siklus II tindakan II dengan persentase 96,25%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Sistem Pencernaan Pada Manusia kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Peusangan.

Abstract

The teaching and learning process in the classroom has not been able to arouse students 'learning motivation so that the learning motivation of students is not maximal, students' learning motivation is not maximized, seen from the learning process there are still students who have not been able to focus their attention and concentration on learning, so that only a few participants students who are active in learning. In addition, there are still many students who are not confident, do not dare to ask questions and when doing group presentations not all students dare to speak, only rely on other friends. The research approach used is quantitative with the type of quasi-experimental research, the research design used is Pretest-Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The study population was all students of class 10th Senior High School 1 Peusangan and Senior High School 2 Peusangan, amounting to 252 people. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, the sample in this study consisted of 140 students. Instruments to measure motivation using a questionnaire in the form of pretest and posttest questions. Data analysis consisted of normality test, homogeneity test, N-gain test, paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test, at a significant level of 0.05. The results showed that there were differences in the learning motivation of students in the experimental class and the control class on environmental pollution material in class 10th Negeri Bireuen district.

Abstract

Ethnobotany is a branch of science that studies the relationship between humans and plants and their environment. Arecaceae is one of the most important plant families for human life and its species are widely used in everyday life, one of which is as a material for traditional cultural ceremonies. Plant parts that are utilized by the community consist of fruit and leaves. Acehnese people who live in Gandapura District still closely hold cultural customs traditions in all kinds of traditional ceremonies in the region but have not been widely developed about the introduction of cultural customs using arecaceae plants to modern society. This research is useful to provide information to modern society about the cultural customs of the community in the traditional use of Arecaceae plants. This research has been conducted by collecting data by distributing questionnaires, semi-structured interviews and free in-depth (open ended) in various age groups. The results showed 2 types of Arecaceae plants that are utilized by the community as cultural ceremonial tools, these types are: bak U (Cocos nucifera) and bak Pineng (Areca catechu).
