Abstract

Iodine has an anti-proliferative effect on cancer cells; however, its effects have not been explored adequately. The aim of this study was to evaluate the therapeutic potential of iodine and radioiodine by assessing their effects on the viability of various breast cancer cell lines: MCF7, SKBR3, and MDA-MB231. The viability of cells was measured in treated cells exposed to six doses of iodine (5, 10, 20, 40, 60, 80 µM) and two doses of radioiodine (3.7×104 and 3.7×105 Bq). A 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay and modified clonogenic assays were used to assess cell viability. Exposure to 80 µM of iodine significantly reduced the viability of all cell types. The cells were then exposed to a 50% inhibitory concentration (IC50) dose. When the cells were exposed to the IC50 dose of iodine, the MCF7 cell viability was reduced by 42.6±0.14% (IC50 dose 12.88 µM), 40.2±0.08% for SKBR3 (IC50 dose 11.03 µM) and 47.0±0.02% for MDA-MB231 (IC50 dose 14.09 µM). All cells were also exposed to 3.7×104 Bq and 3.7×105 Bq radioiodine. Both doses significantly reduced the cell viability of MCF7 and SKBR3 cells compared to the unexposed control cells (all had p<0.05), while MDA-MB231 cell viability only reduced significantly after 3.7×105 Bq of radioiodine exposure compared to the unexposed control cells (p<0.05). This study highlighted that iodine had a toxic effect on breast cancer cells, and radioiodine enhanced the toxicity to breast cancer cells. The types of cancer cells and doses of iodine and radioiodine influenced the effect. These findings suggest that iodine and radioiodine hold promise as therapeutic agents for breast cancer, similar to their established use in thyroid disease treatment. However, further in vivo studies are important to provide more evidence.

Abstract

The employee attendance system is an important component in human resource management that functions to efficiently record and monitor employee attendance. With the increasing reliance on information technology, it is essential to ensure optimal performance and a satisfying user experience. It is important for companies to ensure that this system functions well and responsively. This study aims to evaluate the performance of an employee attendance system through automated testing using the website performance analysis tool GTMetrix. By adopting automated testing using GTMetrix on this system to measure and analyze its performance, this research also offers an objective and efficient approach to identifying performance bottlenecks. The results of this research can serve as a reference for information system developers in designing and implementing a more optimal employee attendance system. In addition, the research also provides insights into the importance of optimizing website performance in the context of business applications. The results of the performance and structure testing analysis on this system using GTMetrix achieved an A grade with a performance score of 100% and a structure score of 100%. This research emphasizes the importance of automated testing as a tool to enhance and improve the performance of information systems, thereby meeting user needs and supporting more effective human resource management.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi presensi karyawan memainkan peran penting dalam menilai kualitas kerja karyawan pada suatu instansi atau perusahaan. Presensi karyawan bahkan menjadi salah satu faktor penentu dalam pengambilan keputusan oleh pimpinan. Namun, pengolahan sistem presensi yang tidak efektif dan efisien, seperti penggunaan sistem konvensional dapat menyebabkan penurunan kualitas sistem presensi tersebut. Sistem pencatatan presensi secara konvensional kurang akurat dan rentan mengalami human error. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut maka peneliti Penelitian ini mengusulkan sebuah solusi inovatif dengan menggabungkan metodologi XP (Extreme Programming) dan teknologi QR (Quick Responsive) Code untuk mengembangkan sistem presensi yang lebih baik. Melalui pendekatan XP, proses pengembangan dilakukan secara iteratif dan inkremental, sehingga memungkinkan adaptasi terhadap perubahan kebutuhan pengguna. sementara QR (Quick Responsive) Code digunakan sebagai media identifikasi yang efisien dan akurat. Penelitian ini melibatkan perancangan, pengembangan, dan implementasi sistem presensi berbasis web dan mobile yang terintegrasi dengan QR (Quick Responsive) Code. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan XP dan QR Code berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi proses pengembangan, menghasilkan sistem yang user-friendly, dan meningkatkan akurasi data presensi karyawan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh tekanan waktu, independensi, skeptisisme profesional, dan pengalaman kerja terhadap kemampuan pendeteksian kecurangan laporan keuangan auditor. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu auditor eksternal yang bekerja di Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan Republik Indonesia di Daerah Istimewa Provinsi Yogyakarta. Dalam penelitian ini, sampel 37 responden dipilih menggunakan purposive sampling. Empat puluh lima kuesioner diberikan kemudian tiga puluh tujuh kuesioner dikembalikan dan dapat diperiksa menggunakan model regresi linier berganda. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah SPSS 22. Berdasarkan analisis yang telah dilakukan hasilnya adalah tekanan waktu berpengaruh negatif terhadap kemampuan deteksi kecurangan auditor. Independensi, skeptisisme profesional, dan pengalaman kerja berpengaruh positif pada kemampuan deteksi kecurangan auditor.
