Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial characteristics towards entrepreneurial competencies and entrepreneurial competencies towards the business performance of micro and small scale coffee shops in Bogor. In this research, entrepreneurial characteristics consist of individual and psychological characteristics; which individual characteristics were reflected by age, education, experience, cosmopolitan; psychological characteristics reflected by motivation and need of achievement; entrepreneurial competencies reflected by managerial skill, conceptual skill, social skill, decision making skill and time managerial skill; business performance reflected by profit and sales volume. This research used 60 data samples of coffee shops consisting of 30 unit micro scale and 30 unit small scale coffee shops that were collected through random sampling in Bogor from February 2018 until June 2018. The data were analyzed by SEM-PLS analysis with SMART PLS 3 software. The result showed that entrepreneurial competencies in small scale model were influenced by individual characteristics and psychological characteristics whereas entrepreneurial competencies in micro scale model were only influenced by individual characteristics. The business performance was influenced by entrepreneurial competencies both in micro scale model and small scale model.

Abstract

Indonesia's agricultural sector has a very important role in the development of the national economy because most of the Indonesian people depend on the agricultural sector. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the demand for rice and to analyze the elasticity of demand (price, cross, and income) of rice in the province of North Sumatra. The data used in this study is Time series data (1998-2018), data analysis using Multiple Linear Regression. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.82 indicates that about 82% of rice demand in North Sumatra can be explained by variations in rice prices, mung bean prices, egg prices, income per capita, and population, while the remaining 18% is explained by variations in other variables. which is not included in the model. The results of the over-all test show that the price of rice, the price of green beans, the price of eggs, per capita income, and the population have a significant effect on the demand for rice. Based on the partial test, the price of rice, the price of mung bean, and the population have a significant effect on the demand for rice, while the price of eggs and per capita income have no significant effect on the demand for rice in North Sumatra. The price elasticity of rice is inelastic, the cross elasticity of the price of green beans and the price of eggs is positive or substitution, and the income elasticity of rice is a normal good

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Untuk mengetahui besar produktivitas yang dihasilkan oleh petani Penangkar Benih dan Kelompok Tani Subur di Desa Saentis, (2) Untuk mengetahui besar biaya produksi per hektar yang dikeluarkan petani Penangkar Benih dan Kelompok Tani Suburdi Desa Saentis, dan (3) Untuk mengetahui besar pendapatan bersih per hektar petani Penangkar Benih dan Kelompok Tani Subur di Desa Saentis. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah petani penangkar benih yang mengusahakan padi sawah yang telah menghasilkan (panen) di 10 Ha Desa Saentis. Penentuan sampel ditentukan secara sampling jenuh (sensus) yaitu metode penarikan sampel bila semua anggota populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel yaitu 20 petani. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut: (1) Produktivitas usahatani padi sawah petani penangkar benih lebih besar dibandingkan dengan petani kelompok tani subur.  Produktivitas petani penangkar benih sebesar 7,34 ton/ha, sedangkan petani kelompok tani subur sebesar 5,78 ton/ha, (2) Biaya produksi usahatani padi sawah petani penangkar benih lebih besar dibandingkan dengan petani kelompok tani subur. Biaya produksi petani penangkar benih sebesar Rp. 11.633.733/ha/mt, sedangkan petani kelompok tani subur sebesar Rp. 11.370.902/ha/mt, dan (3) Pendapatan bersih usahatani padi sawah petani penangkar benih lebih besar dibandingkan dengan petani kelompok tani subur. Pendapatan bersih usahatani padi sawah petani penangkar benih sebesar Rp. 21.360.266/ha/mt, sedangkan petani kelompok tani subur sebesar Rp. 12.977.502/ha/mt.

Abstract

Tanaman jeruk merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi produksi jeruk  dan pendapatan bersih perhektar pertahun usahatani jeruk. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari wawancara langsung dengan petani jeruk melalui survey kuesioner yang telah dipersiapkan dan data sekunder diperoleh melalui instansi terkait seperti, BPS Tanah Karo, Dinas Pertanian, dan situs-situs internet. Koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,948 menunjukkan bahwa 94,8% variasi variabel dependen (produksi) usahatani jeruk siam dapat dijelaskan oleh variasi variabel independen yang terdapat dalam model. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 5,2% variasi variabel dependen dipengaruhi oleh variasi variable independen lain diluar model. Secara serempak variabel independen yaitu luas panen (X1), pupuk NPK (X2), pupuk kandang (X3), insektisida Royal Cyper (X4), insektisida Dafat (X5) dan tenaga kerja (X6) berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap variabel dependen yaitu produksi jeruk siam (Y). Pendapatan bersih usahatani jeruk siam sebesar Rp.31.309.641/ha/tahun.

Abstract

Gabah merupakan komoditas strategis yang menentukan volume beras. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor teknis yang mempengaruhi harga jual gabah petani, menganalisis faktor-faktor non teknis yang mempengaruhi harga jual gabah petani dan mengetahui kecenderungan perkembangan harga gabah di CV. Sidomakmur, Desa Saentis, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data primer dan sekunder. Metode pengambilan sampel penelitian ini adalah metode simple random sampling menggunakan slovin dengan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 48. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji regresi linier berganda dan uji multikolinearitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor teknis yang mempengaruhi harga jual gabah di CV. Sidomakmur adalah biaya benih, biaya pupuk, biaya pestisida, dan biaya tenaga kerja. Factor non teknis yang mempengaruhi harga jual gabah di CV. Sidomakmur adalah warna gabah, dan waktu panen. Perkembangan harga gabah di CV. Sidomakmur tmengalami penambahan dalam kurun waktu 2 tahun rata-rata Rp. 70 setiap musim tanam dalam satu tahun.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis biaya produksi padi per ha/MT di Desa Sei Rakyat, Kecamatan Medang Deras, Kabupaten Batu Bara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai potensi ekonomi usahatani padi sawah di Desa Sei Rakyat, Kecamatan Medang Deras, Kabupaten Batu Bara, serta kelayakan usahatani padi sawah di Desa Sei Rakyat, Kecamatan Medang Deras, Kabupaten Batu Bara. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Sei Rakyat, Kecamatan Medang Deras, Kabupaten Batu Bara. Data dianalisis data satu musim tanam pada musim tanam I (November 2023 – Januari 2024). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Slovin dan melibatkan 40 KK sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biaya produksi budidaya padi sawah di Desa Sei Rakyat, Kecamatan Medang Deras sebesar Rp14.081.099/0,72 Ha/MT atau Rp20.437.047/Ha/MT. Petani padi sawah di wilayah penelitian memiliki rata-rata pendapatan bersih Rp16.532.101/0,72Ha/MT (atau Rp22.383.241/Ha/MT). Rasio R/C untuk tanaman padi adalah 2,14. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa jika petani mengeluarkan biaya sebesar Rp1 dan memperoleh pendapatan sebesar Rp2,14, maka pendapatan bersihnya adalah Rp1,14. Petani mendapatkan pendapatan bersih sebesar Rp1,14. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa usahatani padi sawah di Desa Sei Rakyat, Kecamatan Medang Deras, Kabupaten Batu Bara layak untuk diusahakan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the availability of rice in Medan City, (2) Explain the conditions of rice availability in Medan City before and during the Covid-19 pandemic and (3) Explain the negative impact of Covid-19 on the availability of rice in Medan City. This study was conducted in Medan City, North Sumatra with descriptive analysis. This study uses secondary data such as population, Number of Rice Field Areas in Medan City, Number of Rice Harvests, Imports, Exports, Stocks and Rice Production in Medan City. Data was taken for 4 years, starting from 2019 to 2022. Data sources from the Central Statistics Agency of North Sumatra Province, the Central Statistics Agency of Medan City, the Food Security Service, Agriculture of Medan City, Perum Bulug Medan City and supplemented with several literature related to this study. The results of the study show that the need for rice consumption has increased every year during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the collection of documents of the Medan City Food Balance Update Report, the condition of the level of rice supply during and before the Covid-19 pandemic fluctuated, but the condition of the level of rice supply during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 experienced a shortage. Based on the research results, the author assumes that the amount of rice needed in Medan City can be met by areas around Medan City and outside North Sumatra. This is confirmed by the results of written interviews at the Medan City Food Security Service, namely Deli Serdang, Asahan, Toba, Serdang Bedagai and Langkat for areas around Medan City, while for areas outside North Sumatra are Java, Aceh, and Sulawesi. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the availability condition experienced a surplus. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the availability of rice in Medan City in terms of imports and rice stocks has increased every year, while in terms of rice production it has fluctuated.
