Abstract

Abstract. Typhoid fever is a disease caused by bacterial infection Salmonella typhi which enters through fecal-oral. A common symptom is prolonged fever, and this disease is quite serious, especially in underdeveloped countries. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between patient characteristics and positive tubex test results in typhoid fever patients at Al-Islam Hospital Bandung in 2021–2022. In this study, secondary data was obtained from medical records using descriptive observation methodology cross section. The sample used a total sampling approach with a total of 60 people. The relationship between a positive tubex test and patient characteristics was tested using ChiSquare. Research findings show that males under the age of eighteen make up the majority of positive tubex test results. Age and gender were not significantly correlated with tubex scores. P-value mark of 0.095 indicates there is no significant relationship between tubex and age. Likewise, there is a p-value of 0.305 which shows there is no relationship between tubex and gender. These results can increase our knowledge about the variables that influence tubex test results in typhoid fever patients. Abstrak. Demam tifoid adalah penyakit yang diakibatkan infeksi bakteri Salmonella typhi yang masuk melalui fecal-oral. Gejala yang umum terjadi adalah demam berkepanjangan, dan penyakit ini cukup serius, terutama di negara-negara terbelakang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan karakteristik pasien dengan hasil uji tubex positif pada pasien demam tifoid di RS Al-Islam Bandung tahun 2021–2022. Dalam penelitian ini, data sekunder dari rekam medis dengan menggunakan metodologi observasi deskriptif cross-sectional. Sampel menggunakan pendekatan total sampling dengan jumlah 60 orang. Hubungan uji tubex positif dengan karakteristik pasien di uji menggunakan ChiSquare. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa laki-laki di bawah usia delapan belas tahun merupakan mayoritas hasil tes tubex positif. Usia dan jenis kelamin tidak berkorelasi signifikan dengan skor tubex. Nilai p-value sebesar 0,095 menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan bermakna antara tubex dengan usia. Demikian pula, terdapat nilai p 0,05 yang menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan antara tubex dan jenis kelamin. Hasil ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan kita tentang variabel yang mempengaruhi hasil tes tubex pada pasien demam tifoid.

Abstract

The gold standard examination to make a diagnosis COVID-19 is an examination using the Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) method, for example, Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). Current data shows that more than 60 percent of errors occur in the pre-analytic process. The purpose of this community service is to help improve the knowledge and abilities of health workers in the implementation of specimen collection, stages and impacts of pre-analytical errors, types of examinations for laboratory examinations enforcement of the Covid-19 diagnosis. The method of the service was online, in the form of lectures, video screenings and discussions, for the evaluation using pretest and posttest activities. The result of this service is that there is an increase in understanding and knowledge as well as insight into laboratory examination specimen collection pre-analytic activities. COVID-19.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on traditional cake businesses in the study area affects the family economy. It was more difficult while the burden of basic needs that must be met was increasing. This community of traditional cake producers has the potential to be developed and can improve the welfare of people’s lives. However, most need to learn how to process healthy food and do not have business permits. The service aims to provide knowledge and assistance so that traditional cake producers are aware of safe and healthy, as well as encouraging the ownership of business permits and halal certificationso that they can improve the quality of their products and businesses. The service method is carried out in several stages, the activity stage consists of 2 stages, first stage is delivering knowledge on healthy and halal food processing by Islam Bandung (Unisba) experts and Indonesian Food and Drug Authority in collaboration with the Unisba medical faculty, which is carried out in a hybrid meeting. The second stage is assistance in the form of interactive dialogue and hands-on workshops to get to know the flow of procedures for making and managing Home Industrial Food  and Business Identification Number as well as halal certification of a product. The results is traditional cake producers seemed enthusiastic when they received knowledge and assistance regarding the importance of the quality of processed products and business permits for developing their business. Further assistance activities are needed, in terms of PIRT management and NIB ownership, as well as halal certification of processed products so that efforts to improve the quality and business development of traditional cake producers can be further realized.
