Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem caused by malnutrition over a long period of time due to food intake that is not in accordance with nutritional needs.  This stunting  problem begins to occur when the baby is still in the womb and will begin to be seen when the child reaches the age of two. Stunting is influenced by the health status of adolescents, pregnant women, the diet of toddlers, as well as economic, cultural, and environmental factors such as sanitation and access to health services. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between maternal nutrition knowledge, iron intake, zinc, exclusive breastfeeding, and low weight with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 6-59 months.The type of research used is descriptive-analytical with  a Cross-sectional research design.The sampling technique uses a simple random sampling technique  of 93 respondents. Data on maternal nutrition knowledge, iron intake, zinc, exclusive breastfeeding, and BBLR using questionnaires and SQ-FFQ forms. Data analysis using statistical  test Chi-Square test.From the results of the study, it was found that there were 33.3% of  mothers who had stunting toddlers, 64.52% of mothers who had less nutritional knowledge, 64.52% of iron intake in toddlers lacking, 55% of zinc intake in toddlers lacking, 12.90% of mothers did not provide exclusive breastfeeding to their toddlers, and 11.8% of toddlers were low birthweight. From the results of statistical tests, it was found that there was a significant relationship between maternal nutritional knowledge, iron intake, zinc with  the incidence of stunting, and there was no relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and low weight with the incidence of stunting. Keywords: knowledge, iron intake, zinc, exclusive breastfeeding, low weight, stunting

Abstract

Kondisi stunting di Provinsi Sumatera Barat berdasarkan data SSGI (Studi Status Gizi Indonesia) 2021 yaitu 23,3%. Cookies ikan lele dengan penambahan labu kuning merupakan salah satu produk inovasi pangan fungsional yang mengandung banyak nutrisi dan zat gizi seperti protein dan kalsium dan dapat di jadikan sebagai makanan tambahan bagi balita terutama balita stunting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan cookies ikan lele (clarias gariepinus), dengan penambahan labu kuning (cucurbita moschata), terhadap kandungan zat gizi PMT balita stunting. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak lengkap (RAL) yaitu 1 kontrol dan 3 perlakuan dengan 2 kali ulangan yang dilakukan pada bulan Mei – Agustus 2022, dengan pengamatan mutu organoleptik (menggunakan formulir uji hedonik) dengan 25 orang panelis. Analisa zat gizi (kadar protein menggunakan metode kjedahl dan kadar kalsium menggunakan spektrofotometri XRF) hasil data mutu organoleptik diolah di spss (uji Kruskal Wallis dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Man Whitney pada taraf 5%). Hasil uji organoleptik didapatkan perlakuan yang paling disukai oleh panelis pada perlakuan B122 cookies ikan lele dengan penambahan labu kuning 50 g dengan indikator penelitian berdasarkan kesukaan terhadap warna, aroma, tekstur, dan rasa. Hasil analisa kadar protein pada perlakuan B122 (22,31 %), kadar kalsium pada perlakuan B122 (41,00 %). Diharapkan kepada peneliti selanjutnya untuk mengamati masa simpan produk dan menganalisa semua nilai zat gizi.

Abstract

Abstract: Puskesmas Glugur Darat is one of the Puskesmas in Medan City that has a high prevalence of diabetes. The general objective of this study was to determine the risk factors for the incidence of DM in adulthood. The research design used in this study was case control. The study was conducted at the Glugur Darat Health Center Work Area in August 2024. The population is people who seek treatment and live in the Glugur Darat Health Center working area with a total of 36,245 people. The sample has a ratio of 1: 1 which includes a case sample of 88 respondents and a control sample of 88 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was Simple Random Sampling. Data analysis was done univariate and bivariate. The results showed there was a relationship between family history (p value: 0.003) and age (p value: 0.028). It is recommended that people strive to maintain blood sugar levels by preventing and finding out information related to risk factors that can cause diabetes mellitus through social media and health facilities that distribute brochures or from other health banners.Keywords: Diabetes, Family History, Age
