<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Komunikasi terapeutik merupakan komunikasi profesional yang dilakukan oleh perawat atau tenaga kesehatan lainnya, yang direncanakan, mempunyai tujuan, dan difokuskan kepada proses kesembuhan pasien. Komunikasi terapeutik ini digunakan untuk menciptakan hubungan yang baik antara perawat dan pasien sehingga kebutuhan pasien dapat terpenuhi. Dengan penerapan komunikasi terapeutik yang benar akan membantu dalam kelancaran pemberian asuhan keperawatan untuk pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan komunikasi terapeutik yang dilakukan oleh perawat di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit X Kota Kediri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross sectional, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perawat di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit X Kota Kedirisejumlah 33 perawat. Penelitia menggunakan teknik purpossive sampling untuk menentukan responden penelitian, dengan menetapkan kriteria inklusi dan kriteria ekslusi, sehingga didapatkan 25 perawat sebagai responden. Data dikumpulkan dengan emnggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada responden yang menerapkan komunikasinya dengan kriteria yang baik, 24 (96%) responden menerapkan komunikasi dengan kriteria yang cukup, dan 1 (4%) responden menrapkan komunikasi dengan kriteria kurang. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa komunikasi terapeutik yang diterapkan oleh perawat di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit X Kota Kediri masih belum maksimal. Kata Kunci : komunikasi terapeutik, perawat, ruang rawat inap ABSTRACT Therapeutic communication is a professional communication that done by the nurses or other health workers, which have planned, aimed, and focused on patient healing process. This is used to create a good relationship between nurses and patients so the patient’s need can be fulfilled completely. By doing the therapeutic communication correctly it can the nurse to give the nursing care for the patients. The purpose of this research is to know about the application of therapeutic communication that have been done by the nurses in inpatients room, X Hospital. This research use the cross sectional method, the population of this research are nurses of inpatients rooms of X Hospital, it is 33 nurses. It uses purposive sampling technique to decide the respondents, by using the inclusion and exclusion criteria, so the respondents are 25 nurses. Data collected by using questionnaire. The result shows that there is no respondent who do the therapeutic communication in good criteria, 24 (96%) respondents do the therapeutic communication in enough criteria, and only 1 (4%) respondent who do the therapeutic communication in less criteria. From the result, we can concluded that the application of therapeutic communication of the nurses of inpatients room of X Hospital is not maximum yet.
