Abstract

Berdasarkan wawancara dengan guru dan observasi terhadap siswa tunarungu kelas VII SLB Beringin Bhakti Cirebon diketahui siswa mengalami kendala dalam menulis kalimat sederhana. Beberapa faktor yang menjadi penyebabnya antara lain keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa tunarungu. Untuk itu, penelitian dilakukan dengan tujuan merancang media pembelajaran activity book dalam pembelajaran menulis kalimat sederhana; mengetahui hasil uji validasi media pembelajaran activity book; serta mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis sederhana siswa tunarungu kelas VII SLB Beringin Bhakti dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran activity book. Adapun metode penelitian yang dilakukan penelitian pengembangan. Pada penelitian ini tahap yang dilakukan meliputi studi pendahuluan, pengembangan model, serta uji coba model pada siklus terbatas. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian dari ahli terhadap media pembelajaran activity book diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 91 % serta hasil penilaian ahli terhadap pengguna media pembelajaran activity book diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 88 %. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran activity book yang telah dirancang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis kalimat sederhana. Selain itu juga keberadaan media pembelajaran activity book membantu siswa memahami tentang unsur kalimat serta menulis kalimat.

Abstract

This study investigated the alignment of the RADEC model with psychological principles and cognitive processes to strengthen creative thinking skills. The method used in this study was quasi-experiment with non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design. A total of 48 students as samples of this study were grouped into experimental groups and control groups. The data were collected through test instruments in the form of case study questions to assess students' creative thinking skills. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistical test and independent-sample t test with the help of SPSS version 29 for windows. The findings of this study reveal that the RADEC learning model effectively strengthens students' creative thinking skills. The steps of this model help foster innovative creative thinking in students' problem-solving. The implications of this study highlight the RADEC model as an effective framework for fostering creativity in education. It supports curriculum developers and educators in designing learning processes that nurture students' innovative and critical thinking skills, essential for 21st-century challenges. The model's adaptability to diverse learning styles ensures broader applicability across educational contexts, contributing to the development of problem-solving abilities needed in real-world scenarios.

Abstract

Reading skills are one of the language skills that are closely related to other language skills. In fact, reading skills have a strong influence on writing skills. The problem that arises is that there are still many elementary school students who cannot read fluently due to a lack of reading ability. This study aims to pilot wordwall media in order to improve the reading ability of elementary school students. Wardwall media is a type of game that is allegedly able to improve the reading ability of elementary school students. This research is a type of classroom action research that is carried out in two learning cycles. The research was carried out on grade VI students of SD Negeri Tunas Karya. An instrument used to measure students' reading ability through a reading test. Some aspects used as guidelines for assessing the reading ability of elementary school students include (1) reading ability, (2) understanding of reading content, and (3) fluency in reading. Based on the results of the study obtained through two cycles, it shows that students' reading ability has improved This can be seen from the observation and work of the student group that has improved, where in the first cycle, the average observation score is 59%. The average test score was 81, while in the second cycle, the average observation score was 89%, and the average test result was 96. Based on these results, it can be said that wordwaal media is effective in improving the reading skills of elementary school students.
