Abstract

This study aims to determine the steps of teaching Arabic speaking skills with direct methods and the efforts of the Arabic Language Education Study Program and lecturers in improving speaking skills with direct methods in the Arabic Language Education Study Program at the Langsa State Islamic Institute. The method used in this research is a case study method with a descriptive analysis approach, and to collect data, researchers use observation and interviews as research instruments. In analyzing the data, researchers chose to collect data, reduce data, present data, then draw conclusions. The data sources in this study are the head of the Arabic language education study program, lecturers teaching speaking skills courses and fifth semester students in the Arabic language education study program at the Langsa State Islamic Institute. The results showed that the Arabic Language Education Program, Langsa State Islamic Institute, has applied the direct method as the most important method in teaching speaking skills, and this learning takes place in three stages, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage, and finally the evaluation stage. In order to optimize the teaching of speaking skills with direct methods, the Arabic Language Education study program and lecturers make several efforts, the most important of which are: The Department of Arabic Language Education requires lecturers to speak Arabic in class, lecturers use more Arabic references in teaching, hold an Arabic language environment especially in class and office, and students will not be served except by speaking Arabic. thus the learning of speaking skills using direct methods can be optimized well.

Abstract

A textbook is a prominent source to attract student’s attention. Arabic Books by Scientific Approach in Curriculum 2013 is a textbook used in learning Arabic at MIT Daarut Tahfidz al-Ikhlas. However, the researcher found problems experienced by students in learning grammar, they are difficulties in understanding content material, so that make the students in boredom and less enthusiastic in learning. So this research purpose to develop the textbook using the Mind Mapping used in learning Arabic at MIT Daarut Tahfidz al-Ikhlas. This research aims to know the process of developing the textbook “Arabic Books by Scientific Approach in Curriculum 2013” and to know the effectiveness of using a book which has been developed. The researcher using the methodology of scientific research and development (Research & Development / R & D). The data collection consists of direct observation, interview, and test in 24 samples in the fourth-grade students. In the results of the research, the developed textbook with mind mapping was effective in improving the ability of students in learning grammar, the calculated of t-count on the result, as analyzed by the researcher t-test related. The theoretical value (t-table) on the degree of freedom 8 df = and at the level of significance of 5% (0.05 = α) is 1.86.

Abstract

Adapun tujuan pengabdian ini, antara lain: 1) Untuk mengetahui gambaran pemahaman moderasi beragama mahasiswa IAIN Langsa, 2) Untuk mengetahui kesiapan mahasiswa IAIN Langsa sebagai Agen Moderasi Beragama, 3) Untuk mengetahui efektivitas kegiatan pelatihan moderasi beragama dengan pendekatan Problem Based Learning pada ORMAWA di IAIN Langsa. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian ini yakni Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan menggunakan pendekatan Problem Based Learning bertujuan untuk pembelajaran dalam mengatasi masalah dan pemenuhan kebutuhan praktis serta produksi ilmu pengetahuan pada mahasiswa tentang moderasi beragama. Peserta pelatihan ini adalah 40 mahasiswa ORMAWA IAIN Langsa. Pelatihan ini berlangung 3 hari yakni 2 hari pelatihan dan 1 hari tugas mandiri. Pelatihan ini menggunakan pendekatan problem based learning yakni membantu mahasiswa memecahkan masalah dengan cara berpikir secara ilmiah dan sistematis. Untuk melihat ada dampak perubahan pelatihan peneliti menerapkan pretest dan posttest pada pelatihan agen moderasi beragama ini. Adapun hasil pelatihan dan penelitian ini antara lain: 1) terjadi peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa tentang moderasi beragama yang tadinya tinggi menjadi sangat tinggi, 2) mahasiswa siap sebagai agen moderasi beragama terlihat dari mereka sangat antusias dan mau bekerjasama dalam setiap kegiatan pelatihan, 3) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pelatihan yang artinya pelatihan dengan pendekatan problem based learning efektif meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa tentang moderasi beragama dan mereka paham bagaimana sebuah isu muncul dan bagaimana meredam atau menyelesaikan konflik atau masalah, serta mampu memecahkan masalah dengan berpikir ilmiah dan sistematis. Diharapkan pelatihan ini menjadi kegiatan wajib bagi anggota baru ORMAWA karena mahasiswa adalah agen perubahan, penjaga nilai, penerus bangsa, kekuatan moral dan pengontrol sosial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami konsep kemanusiaan dan kesejahteraan sosial dalam pemikiran Islam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sumber data primer dan sekunder. Sumber data primer diambil dari buku buku-buku yang membahas tentang kemanusiaan dan kesejahteraan sosial dalam pemikiran kontemporer. Sedangkan data sekunder dalam penelitian ini berupa buku-buku, artikel jurnal, dan situs yang membahas terkait kemanusiaan dan kesejahteraan sosial dalam pemikiran kontemporer serta referensi yang mendukung dalam penelitian ini. Kemanusiaan dan kesejahteraan sosial merupakan konsep penting dalam pemikiran Islam. Dalam pemikiran Islam, kemanusiaan dan kesejahteraan sosial saling melengkapi dan saling mendukung. Penerapan pemikiran Islam tentang kemanusiaan dan kesejahteraan sosial memiliki dampak positif dalam menciptakan masyarakat yang lebih adil, mengatasi ketimpangan sosial, menghormati hak asasi manusia, dan memperhatikan kebutuhan kelompok rentan. Dalam konteks masa kini, pemikiran Islam tentang kemanusiaan dan kesejahteraan sosial memiliki implikasi dan relevansi yang signifikan dalam mencapai kesejahteraan sosial yang inklusif, adil, dan berkelanjutan. Dengan menerapkan pemikiran ini dalam kehidupan sehari - hari, diharapkan dapat terwujud masyarakat yang mencerminkan nilai - nilai Islam tentang kemanusiaan dan kesejahteraan sosial.

Abstract

Purpose- This study aims to find out the obstacles that students face in learning Arabic Language specially in speaking skill and to find out the efforts made by teachers to overcome them and also to find the solution to solve these problems. Design/Methodology/Approach- This Study used a descriptive analysis using research instruments in the form of interviews and observations. The data will be analyzed qualitatively. The validity of the data was tested by using the triangulation technique. The data were obtained through field research. Findings- Based on the results of the research that some of the students’ obstacles in speaking Arabic are: lack of vocabulary, little practice with their friends, fear of making mistakes in speaking, teachers are used to speaking Bahasa either with other teachers or with students, and language organization runs ineffectively, as for some of the solutions that teachers need to do are establishing language environment, implementing vocabulary learning in the morning every day, punishing students who don’t speak Arabic, requiring students to memorize vocabulary, using some learning media such as movies to attract students’ interest in learning, enforcing language obligations for dormitory teachers especially when with students, provide language facilities such as: Arabic mading etc, special training for members of language section of the language section of the organization. Research Limitation/Implications- The limitation of the research in this s tudy focus on the problem of speaking skill in student’s daily activity at Ma’had Al-Furqan Bambi Class VIII.
