Abstract

Komitmen perubahan organisasi pada dosen universitas di kota Padang. Perubahan adalah suatu hal yang pasti akan dialami oleh siapa saja, baik itu individu, kelompok, lingkungan, organisasi dan lain-lain. Untuk itu, perubahan harus dilakukan agar organisasi agar tetap maju dan kompetitif. Agar perubahan ini berhasil, diperlukan komitmen terhadap perubahan organisasi oleh setiap karyawan. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan analisis mengenai gambaran komitmen terhadap perubahan organisasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di salah satu perguruan tinggi negeri yang ada di kota Padang. Karakteristik sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dosen yang memiliki masa kerja minimal tiga tahun. Alat ukur Commitment to Change Inventory (CCI) ini terdiri dari 18 item dan memiliki skala 1 (sangat tidak setuju) - 6 (sangat setuju). Angket penelitian disebarkan kepada 250 dosen di salah satu PTN di Kota Padang. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya komitmen yang tinggi terhadap perubahan organisasi yang dilakukan oleh dosen pada perguruan tinggi di kota Padang.

Abstract

The development of Science, Technology, and Arts (IPTEKS) which so rapidly affects the process of implementing education can no longer be done conventionally. The learning methodology needs to adapt to these technological developments so that it can be carried out efficiently and effectively. This challenges education experts to continue to innovate in developing learning methods and strategies. How the learning process is carried out in a short time, and not always face to face between the lecturers and students but get the results as expected. One alternative to overcome this problem is to utilize computer-assisted instruction (CAI). This study aims to develop multi-media computer-assisted instruction (CAI) as a means of independent learning. This study uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle method by Luther (1994), which includes six stages of development, namely concept (concept), design (design), material collection, assembly (manufacture), testing (testing), and distribution (distribution). At the testing stage, an alpha (alpha test) was carried out by the experts, while at the distribution stage the students were tested with indicators of usability, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction. Conclusion for all aspects of the overall validity, practicability, and feasibility test, it can be ignored that multi-media computer-assisted instruction (CAI) is valid, practical, and worthy of being used as a means of independent learning

Abstract

Guru memiliki peranan yang besar dalam mencetak generasi penerus yang berkualitas di masa depan. Guru belum semuanya memiliki empat kompetensi, yakni kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, kepribadian, dan sosial. Adapun guru dengan lulusan sarjana pendidikan pun tidak menjamin mampu melakukan pengembangan diri untuk menambah pengetahuan dan kompetensinya dalam mengajar. Hasil dari Uji Kompetensi Guru (UKG) dari tahun 2012 sampai 2015 sekitar 81% guru di Indonesia nilainya bahkan tidak mecapai nilai minimum. Guru-guru masih banyak tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran, dan mengajar dengan metode ceramah atau penugasan. Fenomena tersebut membuat guru tetaplah “teko” dan siswa tetaplah “gelas” sehingga siswa akan selalu pasif menunggu ilmu dari guru. Guru masih gagap teknologi sehingga tidak mampu menanamkan “daya kritis” kepada murid untuk menjadi manusia revolusioner. Guru banyak yang belum mampu mengoperasikan perangkat teknologi informasi di hadapan para muridnya khususnya dalam membuat media pembelajaran. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah berupa kegiatan pelatihan pengembangan skill mengajar guru dengan peningkatan literasi guru terhadap bidang studi dan pengembangan kompetensi presentasi materi pelajaran di era digital. Guru juga diberi pelatihan teknik-teknik presentasi materi pelajaran yang menarik agar memotivasi siswa dalam belajar.

Abstract

This research study demonstrates that the readiness to change moderates the association between supervisor support and commitment to organizational change. The variable "readiness to change" fulfills this moderating function. The State University in West Sumatra, a prestigious institution of higher education in Indonesia, boasts a faculty comprising 260 committed teaching personnel. The formulation of the questionnaire was grounded upon a predetermined set of criteria. The data analysis process involved utilizing Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results obtained from using structural equation modeling (SEM) were consistent with recognized metrics such as Cronbach alpha, composite reliability, mean-variance extracted, and evaluation criteria for both measurement and structural models. Furthermore, it also showcased the soundness and reliability of the measurement instruments. The study suggests that the mediating factor of preparation for change plays a role in the association between the provision of high-quality support and the level of commitment towards organizational change. This study contributes to the field of management and organizational leadership by providing insights on how to develop robust change strategies through enhancing employees' readiness for transition. This study makes a valuable contribution to the field of change management by emphasizing the role of readiness to change as a mediating factor in the relationship between supervisor support and organizational change commitment. This research additionally aids organizations in developing grooming and training programs aimed at equipping employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt to change.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and Job Satisfaction among contract educational staff at Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP). POS refers to employees' beliefs regarding the extent to which the organization values their contributions and cares about their well-being, while job satisfaction reflects an individual’s positive or negative attitude toward their work. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. The population consisted of 488 contract staff, with a sample of 208 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using the Perceived Organizational Support Scale developed by Eisenberger et al. (1986) and adapted by Syahputra et al. (2022), as well as the Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) by Spector (1994), translated by Junaedi and Aisyah (2021). Data were analyzed using Spearman Rank correlation due to the non-normal distribution of the data. The results show a strong and significant positive relationship between POS and job satisfaction (ρ = 0.795; p < 0.001), indicating that higher perceived organizational support is associated with higher job satisfaction among contract staff. These findings support Organizational Support Theory and emphasize the critical role of organizational support in enhancing employees' psychological well-being and positive work attitudes. Theoretically, this study reinforces the literature on the POS–job satisfaction relationship within the higher education context, while practically offering recommendations for UNP’s management to develop human resource policies that are more supportive of contract employees.

Abstract

Business development in the digital era requires UMKM entrepreneurs skilled in digital technology to have a digital strategy in product promotion and marketing. Some business units have promoted and marketed their products on social media and e-commerce, but not consistently. This indicates a lack of interest in using digital media to develop their businesses. Enrichment activities and training in product promotion and marketing using social media are needed so that UMKM can compete and increase sales in the digital era. This study provided practical digital marketing training to 20 UMKM entrepreneurs in Nagari Tiku Selatan Agam. The activities consisted of enrichment in the form of delivering material on the importance of digital marketing and direct practice in optimizing social media through basic advertising, Google My Business, marketplaces, and WhatsApp Business. The results of the training implementation showed that some MSME entrepreneurs were able to create social media accounts that had never been used before in digital marketing, create attractive marketing content designs using applications practiced in the workshop, and upload directly to their respective business media accounts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of self-efficacy and job demand to turnover intention among Generation Z Account Officers (AOs) at PT X Padang. The high resignation rate among Gen Z employees has become a strategic concern for the company, as it directly affects operational effectiveness and human resource costs. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. The sample consisted of 120 AOs aged 18–29 years, selected using purposive sampling. The instruments used included the Self-Efficacy Scale (Schwarzer & Jerusalem, 1995), the Job Demand Scale (Bakker & Demerouti, 2014), and the Turnover Intention Scale (Mobley, 1978). Data were analyzed using multiple regression with SPSS version 25. The findings indicate that neither self-efficacy nor job demand—individually or jointly—have a significant effect on turnover intention. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.8%, suggesting that these two variables account for only a minimal proportion of the variance in employees’ intention to leave. These results suggest that turnover intention is more strongly influenced by other external factors, such as job satisfaction, career prospects, leadership style, and organizational support. The implications of this study emphasize the need for a holistic managerial approach focused on enhancing the work environment and improving both intrinsic and extrinsic factors to reduce turnover among Gen Z employees.
