Abstract

Students in early adulthood often face various emotional and social challenges. TikTok, a platform that allows users to share short video content, has become a popular medium for students to express their emotions. This study aims to examine differences in emotional expression between male and female students. Based on Ekman’s theory (2003), it is understood that several emotions are considered universal and are similarly recognized by individuals across different cultural backgrounds. These universal emotions include anger, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness, and surprise. This study hypothesizes that (1) there is a difference in emotional expression between males and females; (2) there is no difference in emotional expression between males and females. A quantitative approach with a survey design was used, employing a comparative research method. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, and data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students aged 17–24 years in Padang City. The participants included 15 male and 39 female students. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software. The results showed no significant difference in emotional expression between male and female TikTok users (p-value = 0.244 > 0.05). These findings are consistent with the research hypothesis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara job demands dengan work engagement pada karyawan di PT. XYZ. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi. Adapun pengujian SPSS yang dilakukan peneliti ialah uji korelasi sederhana untuk hipotesis dan juga uji linearitas serta uji normalitas untuk pengujian asumsi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan PT. XYZ yang berjumlah 114 karyawan. Untuk teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan teknik total sampling, yaitu seluruh populasi atau karyawan dijadikan sampel. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala, yaitu skala Likert yang berdasarkan aspek-aspek job demands dan work engagement. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini yaitu terdapat hubungan antara job demands dengan work engagement pada karyawan di PT. XYZ. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan metode analisis korelasional, diketahui bahwa ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara job demands dengan work engagement yang dilihat dari uji korelasi sederhana = -0,557 dengan p = 0,000 (p < 0,05).

Abstract

Business development in the digital era requires UMKM entrepreneurs skilled in digital technology to have a digital strategy in product promotion and marketing. Some business units have promoted and marketed their products on social media and e-commerce, but not consistently. This indicates a lack of interest in using digital media to develop their businesses. Enrichment activities and training in product promotion and marketing using social media are needed so that UMKM can compete and increase sales in the digital era. This study provided practical digital marketing training to 20 UMKM entrepreneurs in Nagari Tiku Selatan Agam. The activities consisted of enrichment in the form of delivering material on the importance of digital marketing and direct practice in optimizing social media through basic advertising, Google My Business, marketplaces, and WhatsApp Business. The results of the training implementation showed that some MSME entrepreneurs were able to create social media accounts that had never been used before in digital marketing, create attractive marketing content designs using applications practiced in the workshop, and upload directly to their respective business media accounts.

Abstract

Most students carry out formal communication such as presenting assignments or expressing opinions in formal forums and there is anxiety about public speaking in their implementation. Virtual reality based on cognitive behavior therapy (VR-CBT) is one of the psychological interventions that can be applied in this study with the aim of reducing the level of anxiety in public speaking. The public speaking anxiety scale, TMAS, and psychological tests were used as measures to determine the subject's anxiety level. Collecting data using observation and interviews with subjects and related parties. This research design uses descriptive qualitative with a case study approach (case study). This study consisted of one subject who was a 20 year old sixth semester student. The VR CBT consisted of 10 sessions (+60 minutes / session). The data analysis technique used qualitative data analysis. The results showed that the subject's public speaking anxiety level decreased. That is, VR CBT is effective in reducing the level of public speaking anxiety.
