Abstract

Abstract: The aims of the research are: 1) to find out the causes of students working part time, 2) to find out whether work activities while studying have an effect on the academic achievement of STAI Ma'had Aly Al-Hikam Malang students. This type of research uses a qualitative approach. Where the informants were all students of the Ma'had Aly Malang Islamic College who were working part time. The results of this research are 1) the factors causing students to do part-time work are as follows: economic background, study activities, free time not used to develop skills, attractiveness of part-time work, support from people around (family and friends) and for development self. 2) the effect of students working part time is that students' academic performance after working part time in terms of GPA decreases. The decline in academic achievement is because students after working have problems related to the difficulty of dividing their time between studying and working.Keywords: effect, working part time, academic achievement Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian adalah: 1) untuk mengetahui penyebab mahasiswa bekerja paruh waktu, 2) untuk mengetahui apakah aktivitas kerja sambil kuliah mempunyai efek terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa STAI Ma’had Aly Al-Hikam Malang. Jenis penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Dimana informan adalah seluruh mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Ma’had Aly Malang yang sudah bekerja paruh waktu. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah 1) factor penyebab mahasiswa melakukan kerja paruh waktu adalah sebagai berikut: latar belakang ekonomi, aktivitas belajar, waktu luang tidak digunakan untuk mengembangkan skill, daya Tarik kerja paruh waktu, dukungan orang sekitar (keluarga dan teman) dan untuk pengembangan diri. 2) efek dari mahasiswa kerja paruh waktu adalah prestasi akademik mahasiswa setelah bekerja paruh waktu ditinjau dari IPK mengalami penurunan. Penurunan prestasi akademik tersebut dikarenakan mahasiswa setelah bekerja, mahasiswa memiliki masalah terkait sulitnya membagi waktu antara kuliah dan bekerja. Katakunci:  efek, bekerja paruh waktu, prestasi akademik

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are one of the developing educational institutions in Indonesia, including Islamic boarding schools for students. Islamic boarding schools as educational institutions need to carry out evaluations related to the programs they undertake, one of which is related to evaluating student academic support numbers programs in increasing female students' non-academic activities. This research article uses a qualitative descriptive method based on field studies. The primary data sources are observations, interviews with Police Force staff and in-depth analysis from interviews at Darussalam Gontor University. The findings of the article are: First, in the implementation of the Akpam program many of the students are based on science, faith and charity. Second, the implementation of the Akpam program aims to increase thought, dhikr, exercise and exercise. Third, the aim of the Akpam program is for students to play an active role in academic and non-academic activities to improve knowledge, faith and charity

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran hijab dalam membentuk karakter percaya diri pada perempuan muslimah, khususnya pada mahasiswi STAI Ma’had Aly Al-Hikam Malang. Hijab tidak hanya dilihat sebagai kewajiban agama, tetapi juga sebagai simbol identitas diri dan ekspresi pribadi yang memperkuat rasa percaya diri. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, di mana data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi terhadap mahasiswi yang mengenakan hijab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Hijab sebagai Identitas dan Simbol Religius, (2) Hijab dalam Pembentukan Karakter Percaya Diri, (3) Pengaruh Sosial dan Gaya Hidup, dan (4) Pengaruh Hijab terhadap Interaksi Sosial dan Akademik. Dengan demikian, hijab tidak hanya sekadar penutup aurat, tetapi juga memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk karakter percaya diri pada perempuan muslimah di era modern ini.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Nowdays, there are a lot of many things in the societythat leads to pro and contra issues. For example, violence in the education. This is agains  to child protection laws in Indonesia. In the  Islamic education, hitting a child is allowed.  It based on hadith of our Prophet Muhammad SAW. Of course, this action has to follow the rule and it has educational purpose. This study aims to know how reward and punishment applied based on the Islamic educational’s point of view.  Another aims is toknow the relevation of reward and punishment in education mistake is allowed but it has to pay attention to the way how to hit the child in the appropriate way. A child is allowed to be hitting only with a light hit and it aims to give him/her a reminder about his/her mistake. This action agains to the child protection laws in Indonesia since no violence in education. In other hand, a teacher has a right and  an obligation to be obeyed. In the laws,  it mentioned that a teacher has a right to give the student sanctions only  in the one condition: it based on code of educators’ ethics.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of humanistic theory in the course Learning Theory and Instruction of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as a medium for internalizing the values of religious moderation, particularly tasamuh (tolerance) and ta’adul (justice), within STAI Ma’had Aly Al-Hikam Malang. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of teaching materials, and were then analyzed thematically using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The findings reveal that PAI learning based on humanistic theory creates a safe, reflective, and diversity-respecting learning environment. The lecturer’s strategies (including classroom humanization, reflective discussions, differentiated assignments, inclusive group work, and role modeling) proved effective in fostering tolerant and fair attitudes among students. The values of tasamuh and ta’adul were not only transmitted cognitively but also internalized through social interactions, learning experiences, and student-centered approaches. This study emphasizes that a humanistic approach to religious education not only enhances the effectiveness of the learning process but also shapes students’ religious character to be moderate, open-minded, and contextual. The results contribute to the development of curriculum and PAI learning practices in Islamic higher education, making them more responsive to the challenges of diversity and the strengthening of national values. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi implementasi teori humanistik dalam mata kuliah teori belajar dan pembelajaran PAI sebagai sarana internalisasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama, khususnya tasamuh (toleransi) dan ta’adul (keadilan), di lingkungan STAI Ma’had Aly Al-Hikam Malang. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi perangkat ajar, lalu dianalisis secara tematik dengan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran PAI yang berlandaskan teori humanistik menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman, reflektif, dan menghargai keberagaman. Strategi dosen yang mencakup humanisasi kelas, diskusi reflektif, diferensiasi tugas, kerja kelompok inklusif, dan keteladanan, terbukti mampu menumbuhkan sikap toleran dan adil dalam diri mahasiswa. Nilai-nilai tasamuh dan ta’adul tidak hanya ditransmisikan secara kognitif, tetapi diinternalisasi melalui interaksi sosial, pengalaman belajar, dan pendekatan yang memanusiakan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan humanistik dalam pembelajaran agama tidak hanya memperkuat efektivitas proses belajar, tetapi juga membentuk karakter keberagamaan mahasiswa yang moderat, terbuka, dan kontekstual. Hasil ini memberi kontribusi bagi pengembangan kurikulum dan praktik pembelajaran PAI di perguruan tinggi Islam agar lebih responsif terhadap tantangan keberagaman dan penguatan nilai-nilai kebangsaan. Kata Kunci: Teori Humanistik, Moderasi Beragama, Tasamuh, Ta’adul, Pendidikan Agama Islam.

Sebagai contoh, kekerasan yang terjadi dalam pendidikan nyatanya bertentangan dengan Undang-undang perlindungan anak di Indonesia saat ini. Namun dalam pendidikan Islam, tindakan memukul diperbolehkan sesuai dengan hadits nabi Muhammad dan dengan beberapa ketentuan yang mengaturnya. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana reward dan punishment dalam perspektif pendidikan Islam. Dan juga untuk mengetahui bagaimana relevansinya dalam pendidikan sekarang ini. Dalam pendidikan Islam sebenarnya menghukum seorang anak yang melakukan kesalahan diperbolehkan namun dengan memperhatikan hal-hal seperti cara memukul anak yang diperbolehkan dan yang tidak diperbolehkan. Memukul yang diperbolehkan adalah pukulan yang tidak menyakitkan atau pukulan ringan untuk mengingatkan anak akan kesalahanya. Berbeda dengan pendidikan Islam yang memperbolehkan memberi hukuman memukul anak, pendidikan di Indonesia tidak diperkenankan melakukan kekerasan terhadap anak, karena akan bertentangan dengan undang-undang perlindungan anak. Sementara itu guru ataupun pendidik juga memiliki hak dan kewajiban yang harus dipatuhi. Dalam undang-undang hak dan kewajiban guru dan dosen juga disinggung bahwasannya seorang guru diberi kuasa untuk memberikan sanksi kepada peserta didik namun dengan catatan tidak boleh bertentangan dengan kode etik pendidik.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies employed by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers to accommodate diverse student learning styles in the Qur’an and Hadith subject within the inclusive classrooms of MIT Ar Roihan Lawang, as well as their impact on learning effectiveness and student participation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that PAI teachers implement systematic and responsive teaching strategies tailored to visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and special needs learners. These strategies begin with identifying students’ learning styles, followed by differentiated lesson planning, varied instructional delivery, and flexible assessment. Teachers also work closely with special education support teachers to manage inclusive classrooms effectively. As a result, learning becomes more effective, the students grasp the meaning of verses and hadith more quickly, maintain better focus, and achieve improved learning outcomes. Furthermore, student participation increases significantly; they become more active, confident, and demonstrate positive social interactions in a classroom environment that values diversity. These findings highlight the importance of applying adaptive teaching strategies to create an effective and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students.
