Abstract

Maladaptive daydreaming (MD) is a condition that shows prolonged daydreaming behavior to forget the time, of course, affecting individuals both in personal and social aspects. In the early adulthood, the individual is charged with a large developmental task and responsibility, therefore the self-concept determines how a person acts in overcoming various situations. This study aims to determine self-concept in early adult individuals who experience MD, including the factors that influence self-concept in early adulthood who experience MD. The research method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection using techniques observation, interviews, and documentation, on two subjects including 1 male and 1 female. In analyzing the data, researchers perform data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions, while to test the validity of the data using triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the subject has a negative self-concept due to a lack of attention, support and motivation from the family and is carried away in maladaptive daydreaming, then the impact of the negative self-concept of the subject is that it seems to have difficulty facing reality in fulfilling developmental tasks, such as work, or establishing relationships with other people and difficult to determine the goals of life at his age

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of one week one juz to improve people's mental health in the face of the Covid-19 outbreak. Participants in this study consisted of 10 people who were members of the WhatsApp khataman Al-quran one week one juz group. Participants' age range was 20-25 years and had mental health scores in the moderate to low category. The research design used was the one-group pretest-posttest design. The data collection of this study used a modified MHI-38 scale. The method of analysis used the paired sample t test technique to test the difference in gains score on the pre test and post test results. The results of the paired t test show the value of sig = 000> 0.05 which indicates that there is an effect of one week one juz activity on mental health. The results of the Gain test score got a score of 2.82 which indicates that there is a high level of effectiveness between one week one juz activities on mental health.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi literasi digital Islami sebagai langkah pencegahan dalam membentuk identitas remaja Muslim di era media sosial, dengan menyoroti peran keluarga dan institusi pendidikan Islam sebagai lingkungan terdekat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka yang mengintegrasikan berbagai teori dan kajian terkait literasi digital Islami, identitas remaja Muslim, serta dampak media sosial. Artikel dan referensi akademik lainnya diidentifikasi melalui pencarian di basis data jurnal untuk menganalisis konsep literasi digital Islami dan penerapannya dalam mendukung identitas Islami pada remaja. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi Islami digital memainkan peran penting dalam melindungi remaja Muslim dari konten negatif serta mendukung pembentukan identitas diri yang sejalan dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Keluarga dan institusi pendidikan berperan signifikan dalam penerapan literasi digital Islami, baik melalui contoh, pengawasan, maupun kurikulum yang relevan dengan tuntutan era digital. Studi ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan teori literasi digital Islami dan menawarkan rekomendasi praktis bagi keluarga serta institusi pendidikan Islam untuk mengintegrasikan literasi digital Islami ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari remaja. Penelitian lebih lanjut disarankan untuk mengembangkan alat evaluasi literasi digital Islami dan menilai dampak jangka panjangnya terhadap pembentukan identitas remaja Muslim.

Abstract

The crisis of confidence in former drug abusers is a common condition, then the effects of these illegal drugs are exacerbated by an unsupportive environment, thus disrupting the social life of the individual. Feelings of inferiority and even anxiety illustrate that the self-confidence of drug abusers is low. Thus, the purpose of this study is to explore the problems that occur through how the factors that cause self-confidence problems experienced by the subject and the application of treatment use individual counseling with the trait and factor approach. The subject of this research is one former drug abuser with low self-confidence. This research uses a qualitative method in the form of case study research that uses data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Data analysis was carried out through six stages, namely: the analysis step, the synthesis step, the diagnosis step, the prognosis step, the treatment step, and the follow-up step. Furthermore, using the technique of determining the validity of the data by means of member check. The results of the study illustrate that clients have self-confidence caused by internal and external factors, while the application of trait and factor counseling treatments shows changes in client behavior towards better than before and can overcome client problems. Krisis kepercayaan diri pada mantan penyalahguna NAPZA merupakan kondisi yang lazim terjadi, kemudian efek yang ditimbulkan dari obat-obatan terlarang tersebut diperparah dengan lingkungan yang kurang mendukung, sehingga mengganggu kehidupan sosial individu. Perasaan minder bahkan cemas menggambarkan bahwa kepercayaan diri penyalahguna NAPZA itu rendah. Dengan begitu tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendalami permasalahan yang terjadi melalui bagaimana faktor-faktor penyebab permasalahan kepercayaan diri yang dialami subjek dan penerapan treatment menggunakan konseling individu pendekatan trait and factor. Subjek penelitian adalah satu orang eks penyalahguna NAPZA dengan kepercayaan diri rendah Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus yang menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui, observasi, angket, dan wawancara. Analisis data ditempuh melalui enam tahapan yakni: langkah analisis, langkah sintesis, langkah diagnosis, langkah prognosis, langkah treatment, dan langkah follow-up. Selanjutnya menggunakan teknik penentuan keabsahan data dengan cara member check. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa klien memiliki kepercayaan diri disebabkan oleh faktor internal dan eksternal, sedangkan penerapan treatment konseling trait and factor menunjukan perubahan perilaku klien kearah yang lebih baik dari sebelumnya dan dapat mengatasi permasalahan klien.

Abstract

Social media has become an integral part of university students' daily lives, affecting their self-worth, academic productivity and emotional well-being. This study explores two roles of social media, namely as a source of external validation and online social support, with a focus on its impact on students' academic and personal experiences. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews with three university students who actively use social media, as well as documentation of their social media activities. The results showed that social media interactions, characterised by likes, comments, and engagement, have a significant influence on students' self-worth. While providing emotional motivation and a sense of being valued, this reliance on external validation raises concerns about its impact on long-term self-confidence. In the context of academic productivity, an ambivalent relationship was found, where social media can enhance productivity through access to educational content, but often becomes a distraction due to its entertainment features. Online social support, while providing an emotional boost, was found to be less effective than face-to-face interactions in addressing deeper psychological needs. This study emphasises the importance of developing self-regulation and digital literacy among university students to optimise their use of social media in support of their personal growth and academic success.
