Abstract

The Problems of Implementing the 2013 Curriculum in the Subjects of Islamic Religious Education and Character at SMA Antartika Sidoarjo. This research methodology is a type of descriptive qualitative research. Descriptive research is research that is intended to collect information about the status of an existing symptom, namely the state of the symptoms according to what they were at the time the research was conducted. The implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in the subjects of Islamic Religious Education and Character at SMA Antarctica can be categorized as very good. the results showed that learning in class X IPA 6 for the first meeting gave a percentage of 90.47%, while for the second meeting the percentage was 92.06%. Learning in class X IPA 7 at the first meeting gave a percentage of 91.26%, while for the second meeting the percentage was 89.68%. Learning in class XI MIA Ef 1 for the first meeting gave a percentage of 84.12%, while for the second meeting the percentage was 88.88%. Learning in class XI MIA Ef 2 for the first meeting gave a percentage of 90.47%, while for the second meeting the percentage was 88.88%.

Abstract

  This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using Android applications in increasing motivation to learn English among students at Jawahirul Ulum Vocational School, Jabon Sidoarjo. Using a pretest-posttest control group design, this research involved two groups of students: an experimental group who used the Android application and a control group who did not use the application. The results showed that the experimental group experienced significant improvements in motivation and English language proficiency compared to the control group. This increase in motivation and proficiency can be explained through several educational theories, including Self-Determination Theory which emphasizes the importance of autonomy and competence, and Engagement Theory which underlines the importance of active involvement in the learning process. Android apps provide interactive, personalized, and flexible learning, allowing students to learn at their own pace and interests. Additionally, the app offers a cost-efficient learning solution, providing broad access to quality educational resources without burdening school budgets. The results of this research support the use of digital technology in education to create a more adaptive, interesting and effective learning environment. The integration of Android applications in the English learning curriculum not only increases students' motivation and learning outcomes, but also prepares them to face future challenges better. These findings demonstrate the enormous potential of technology in transforming traditional educational practices and improving the overall quality of education.

Abstract

This research aims to describe: (1) Planning for computer-based national exams, (2) Implementation of computer-based national exams (UNBK), (3) Evaluation of computer-based national exams (UNBK) at Al-Fudlola' Porong Vocational School, Sidoarjo. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach, the subjects of this research are the proctors of Al-Fudlola' Porong Vocational School, school principals, teachers, research location at Al-Fudlola' Vocational School, Porong sub-district, Sidoarjo district, data collection methods are interviews, observation and documentation, Data validity testing was carried out by triangulating sources and techniques, data analysis using Miles and Huberman data analysis techniques. The research results show the following: Planning includes socialization activities (UNBK), school data collection, infrastructure verification, school determination, and schedule determination (UNBK). Implementation includes pre-examination activities, carrying out official tests, and processing student work results. Evaluation of the occurrence of technical obstacles at Al-Fudlola Vocational School, power outages, lack of space for the school server room, school server computer specifications not by the requirements criteria (UNBK), there are students taking follow-up (UNBK). Students' mental health is disturbed because it is made mandatory in implementing (UNBK). Evaluate solving the problem of technical obstacles, and how to overcome them: providing a backup electrical power supply from a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), remodeling the reading room into a special room for the school server, procuring and repairing computer server hardware devices, registering to take follow-up exams. Non-technical problems carry out routine coaching by holding computer-based national exam (UNBK) exercises for students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis upaya kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan kompetensi profesional guru di SMP Islam Insan Kamil Wonoayu. Kompetensi profesional guru merupakan aspek penting dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah berperan aktif dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru melalui berbagai strategi seperti pelaksanaan Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) internal, pemberian kesempatan mengikuti pelatihan atau workshop, serta penguatan supervisi dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Selain itu, kepala sekolah juga menciptakan iklim kerja yang kondusif dan memfasilitasi peningkatan kompetensi guru melalui pemanfaatan teknologi dan sumber belajar. Upaya ini berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran dan profesionalitas guru.
