Abstract

The problem that we want to observe is the transactional communication model between traders and buyers in the Kendari City market. The location of this research was carried out at the market in Kendari City. Transactional Communication Theory (Eric Berne in Mulyana 2002: 109) is the reference in this research. The number of informants was 20 people. Qualitative descriptive is a method for collecting data. The research results show that complementary transactions at the Kendari City Market occur because of the same attitude, mature attitudes between traders and buyers in interacting, cross transactions at the Kendari City Market occur because traders and buyers misinterpret the meaning of the message, transactions from both parties conveyed do not occur in agreement. Hidden transactions at the Kendari City Market occur because they assume that buying and selling matters are the main priority that must be done without paying attention to other conversations outside the buying and selling process.

Abstract

The study is aimed at designing and analyzing the product validity of learning media of Ispring Suite used for science class in Junior High School. The study employs the Research & Development method of Borg and Gall consisting of five stages namely; planning, design, validation, revision and final product. Powerpoint and Ispring Suite are used in designing the product. further, the validity of the product is assessed by two experts in media learning for science. Based on the findings it can be concluded that the product is feasible and qualified to be applied in science class in Junior High Schools. Last, the product can be effectively used after it is downloaded in playstore, marketplace or google market. The researcher recommends that future researchers increase the number of studies related to the development of media products for science learning, so that the products that have been produced can be integrated by science teachers in learning.

Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (IPTEK) memunculkan program pendidikan yang mengintegrasikan partisipasi budaya di sekolah. Pembelajaran matematika yang berorientasi pada budaya seringkali melibatkan materi matematika yang berhubungan dengan perhitungan. Bidang yang menghubungkan matematika dengan budaya ini dikenal sebagai etnomatematika. Salah satu contoh nyata yaitu adanya unsur matematika pada bangunan Rumah Adat Mekongga. Dari bangunan rumah adat terlihat unsur budaya dalam hal ini budaya Suku Tolaki Mekongga yang memiliki nilai seni yang tercermin dari gaya arsitektur bangunan. Mengkaji dan mengeksplorasi rumah adat Raha Bokeo Suku Tolaki Mekongga sebagai alternatif sumber belajar matematika berbasis kebudayaan lokal Suku Tolaki menjadi tujuan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunkan jenis pendekatan etnografi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah peneliti sendiri dan teknik analisis data mengacu pada metode yang dekemukakan oleh Miles Dan Hubermann. Dalam penelitian ini, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi yang dilakukan pada Rumah Adat Mekongga, wawancara dilakukan dengan dua narasumber yaitu arsitek rumah adat sekaligus ahli sejarawan Suku Tolaki Mekongga dan ketua adat Suku Tolaki Mekongga dan dokumentasi yang berbentuk foto atau dokumen yang berkaitan. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu terdapat konsep-konsep geometri pada bangunan Rumah Adat Mekongga seperti persegi panjang, segitiga sama kaki, segitiga siku-siku, prisma segi empat dan pencerminan atau refleksi. Selain itu, juga terdapat aktivitas matematika dalam proses pembangunan rumah adat seperti aktivitas mengukur, aktivitas merancang bangunan, aktivitas menjelaskan dan aktivitas menentukan lokasi.
