The population in this study were all mothers of DMPA injection family planning acceptors at the Baumata Health Center. The sample was selected by purposive sampling technique. Then the data were analyzed by bivariate analysis to test the presence or absence of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The researcher used the chii square test. Results: Chi-Square test analysis at = 0.05, it can be seen that the value of P = 0.001 <0.05, which means Ha is accepted if the probability (Asymp Sig <0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between the use of DMPA 3-month injectable contraceptives with maternal weight gain at the Baumata Health Center Keywords: DMPA Injectable Contraception, Weight Gain

Abstract

Irregularity in carrying out examinations by pregnant women can cause potential abnormalities or complications that may occur, as well as result in the growth and development of the fetus not being properly monitored. In fact, there are still many pregnant women who ignore Antenatal Care (ANC) visits, which risks leading to death. ANC is a service designed to monitor the mother's condition from the start of pregnancy, as well as help the mother to better prepare herself for the birth process, so that she remains calm and focused on birth. Every pregnant woman is advised to undergo comprehensive ANC examinations at least six times. The implementation of ANC is very important, because mothers who do not receive antenatal care are at higher risk of maternal death, stillbirth and other pregnancy complications. This Community Service activity aims to increase pregnant women's understanding of the importance of ANC. This activity takes the form of education about how ANC can help prevent high-risk pregnancies. This program will be implemented in October 2024 at Posyandu Cambodia II, Sikumana Village. Through this activity, it is hoped that pregnant women's knowledge can increase, and pregnant women will be able to carry out routine ANC checks during pregnancy, so that complications that may arise can be detected more quickly.

Abstract

Stunting can be prevented by providing additional food in the form of animal protein because of the role of animal protein as a macronutrient which has the best source of essential amino acids that the body needs to activate various enzymes and growth hormones. Therefore, consumption of a variety of animal proteins is currently highly encouraged, especially among vulnerable community groups, namely pregnant women, toddlers and children under 2 years of age and breastfeeding mothers, because these community groups experience a core life cycle which is often referred to as 1000 HPK ( First 1000 Days of Life). At 1000 HPK, if nutritional disorders can be overcome, it can reduce the possibility of malnutrition and stunting in the next period of a child's life. The aim of implementing this activity is to increase the protein adequacy of babies and toddlers and increase mothers' knowledge in preparing animal protein needs for babies and toddlers. The method used in this service is to provide PMT in the form of animal protein directly to the target, while to provide education using the lecture and question and answer method. After carrying out this community service activity, mothers were willing to practice giving animal protein correctly to babies and toddlers at home.
