Abstract

Objectives: The increasing use of eco-friendly beauty products in Indonesia attracts many researchers to understand buying behavior. Therefore, this study examines the effect of altruistic values, hedonic values, pro-environmental beliefs, personal norms, and independent decision-making on consumer buying behavior of eco-friendly beauty products.Methodology: This research is quantitative with an online survey of consumers purchasing green cosmetics products in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. The determination of the number of samples is ten times the number of indicators with a purposive sampling technique. The research questionnaire was developed by several prior researchers who had been tested for validity and reliability. Structural equation modeling uses structural equation modeling-partial lease squares with SmartPLS software version 4 to test the research hypothesis.Finding: The results of the study show that altruistic values and hedonic values have a positive effect on pro-environmental beliefs. Furthermore, pro-environmental beliefs have a positive effect on personal norms. Finally, personal norms and independent judgment-making positively affect consumers' purchase behavior of green beauty products in Greater Jakarta. Conclusion: Green beauty purchase behavior in Greater Jakarta is influenced by personal norms and independent judgment-making which are also influenced by altruistic values, hedonic values, and pro-environmental beliefs. In the context of green beauty products, awareness that arises from within oneself can form a better level of consistency in buying green beauty product behavior. The findings from this study serve as a basis for managers and the Indonesian government to implement better eco-friendly strategies to motivate consumers to buy green products, especially cosmetics.

Children's health issues have always been a focus of concern for schools, families, and society. Unfortunately, children are currently facing some potential health threats. For example, obesity caused by imbalanced diet and high calorie diet, sedentary behaviour caused by spending too much time in front of mobile phones or computer screens, and immune decline caused by insufficient physical activity. Physical activities can help improve muscle strength and protect bones from fractures. Research has found that people engaged in physical education are healthier and more likely to break unhealthy eating habits than others. The importance of physical education is also reflected in its ability to cultivate children's cognitive abilities and improve their personality. It is recommended that schools, society, and families collaborate to promote children's comprehensive development and healthy growth through physical education.

Abstract

Piano has been integrated into the cultural and historical development of human existence because of the role it plays in shaping the life of people especially the upcoming generation. Songs that have been passed down through generations are an important part of human life. It is easier for students to become overly excited by listening and learning piano because students tend to be more emotional. But this can have a negative impact on Teddy in a variety of different ways. Because of the excessive excitement, they have less motivation to study, and it encourages them to form lifestyles that are not appropriate for them. Even though it can bring students together and bring a large community closer together, learning to play the piano can lower a person's social status later in life. This is true even though learning to play the piano can bring students together. The singing style is completely composed in a rural style, and this is the reason for this difference. The existence of folklore acts as a barrier that prevents the development of a specific subculture. In addition to this, it has the potential to change people's perspectives on a diverse range of things and forms. When one listens to music, neural responses in the brain are triggered that are very similar to those that are triggered when one speaks. On the other hand, listening to music has been shown to stimulate the part of the brain that is accountable for the emergence of unwelcome feelings. This is the primary reason why taking piano lessons can have such a detrimental effect on a student's life. The study further suggested more research on the particular areas that are more detrimental to student life in piano so that they can be improved as piano is also important in other aspects of human development.

Abstract

This study explores the development of students' innovation skills through extracurricular activities and its impact on their employability and academic performance. Innovation skills, comprising creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration, are vital for students to adapt to change and contribute effectively to various domains. Extracurricular activities offer diverse platforms for students to enhance these skills, fostering innovation and preparing them for the dynamic professional landscape. Through participation in activities such as debate clubs, science fairs, and role-playing, students develop problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and creative thinking, essential for innovation. Moreover, extracurricular engagements complement formal education, providing life-wide learning experiences crucial for holistic development. The study also examines the correlation between extracurricular participation, psychological wellness, and academic achievement, particularly among underrepresented college students. Findings suggest that involvement in extracurricular activities fosters a sense of belonging, which positively influences academic performance. Additionally, RadGrad, a curriculum initiative, is discussed as a tool to integrate extracurricular experiences with academic goals, facilitating personalized learning pathways for students. Overall, this study underscores the significance of extracurricular activities in nurturing innovation skills, enhancing employability, and promoting academic success among students.

Abstract

Embarking on early retirement commences with a deliberate preference for leaving the workforce ahead of schedule. This choice is sustained by clear intentions to retire early and ultimately culminates in adapting to the novel life stage that arises from the permanent withdrawal from employment. Early retirement employs the theoretical constructs of ‘push’, ‘pull’, and ‘jump’ to elucidate the factors precipitating early retirement. ‘Push’ factors are identified as the consequences of adverse health conditions and involuntary job terminations, ‘pull’ factors are recognized as the economic and symbolic incentives provided by the welfare state, and ‘jump’ factors are characterized by the proactive pursuit of new life ventures or enhanced familial engagement, such as spending more time with grandchildren. Using Theory of planned behavior (TPB), the objectives of this study are to examine factors contributing to individual’s early retirement by planning their retirement. The findings indicate that positive attitudes toward retirement, social influences from subjective norms, and a strong sense of perceived behavioral control are pivotal in shaping individuals’ intentions to retire early. Furthermore, the perceived financial knowledge and perception of health significantly enhances proactive retirement planning behavior, which subsequently influences retirement decisions. By integrating these factors into a conceptual framework, this paper contributes to the expanding body of knowledge on retirement planning and lays the groundwork for future research aimed at empirically validating these relationships and supporting effective retirement planning interventions.
