Abstract

Abstract: Language is a medium that is only owned by humans in conveying an idea, idea, or feeling to others. For Muslims living in Indonesia, learning Arabic is very important because in practice the Muslim community cannot be separated from the Arabic text. One of the books of Manaqib that are often used as a means of joint prayer is the Book of Manaqib Nurul Burhani. From here the researcher will discuss isim fa'il in the book Nurul Burhan and focus on discussing the form of wazan. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with library research techniques. The results of this study show that Isim Fa'il contained in the book of Nurul Burhan as many as 86 words spread in Maqro '1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, among which some are formed from wazan mujarrod and mazid.

Abstract

Community Service Program (PkM) titled “Assistance in Developing Interactive Learning Media Based on the Merdeka Curriculum to Improve the Competence of MGMP Arabic Language Teachers in Bojonegoro” has achieved various significant outcomes. Through training, workshops, and collaboration between MGMP Arabic Language teachers, schools, and the Bojonegoro Education Office, this program has successfully enhanced teachers’ competence in integrating technology into teaching. Innovative and suitable interactive learning media designs for Arabic language learning have been produced. The implementation of this media in several schools in Bojonegoro has proven beneficial in increasing students’ interest and motivation in learning. Additionally, the established collaboration has created synergy in supporting the development of teacher competence and the implementation of the service program. Dissemination of results through seminars, workshops, and scientific publications has had a broader impact on raising awareness about the importance of utilizing technology in education. The sustainability plan of the program also commits to continuously developing and expanding the use of interactive learning media in all schools in Bojonegoro. With positive and sustainable achievements, this program has made a tangible contribution to improving teacher competence, the quality of learning, and students’ interest in the Arabic language. This program is an important initial step in advancing the education system in Bojonegoro, creating a more innovative, dynamic, and relevant learning environment in the digital era.

Abstract

Pengembangan media ajar bahasa Arab berbasis platform Wordwall di SMAI Al Fattah Kalitidu, Bojonegoro dilatarbelakangi oleh tantangan digital dalam pendidikan bahasa Arab. Permasalahan mitra adalah rendahnya kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan teknologi digital dan merancang media pembelajaran interaktif. Solusi yang ditawarkan melalui program pengabdian adalah pelatihan intensif dan pendampingan pengembangan media ajar menggunakan Wordwall, dengan menerapkan metode Partisipatory Action Research (PAR) untuk memastikan keterlibatan aktif guru dalam setiap tahapan pengembangan media. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama delapan minggu melalui tahapan sistematis siklus PAR: perencanaan partisipatif, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil program menunjukkan bahwa guru berhasil menghasilkan lima media ajar interaktif serta mengalami peningkatan kompetensi digital sebesar 42% berdasarkan hasil pretest-posttest. Selain itu, motivasi dan partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab juga meningkat secara signifikan.

Abstract

The song و أنا معك ("And I’m with You") by Mohammed Alsahli is a poetic and emotionally resonant love song that portrays love as a powerful, transformative, and unifying force. This study explores the representation of the semantic field of love in the song through a descriptive qualitative method combined with semantic analysis. The analysis focuses on key Arabic words and phrases found in the lyrics, such as حب (hubb – love), حبيبي (habibi – my beloved), قلبي (qalbi – my heart), عيوني (‘uyuni – my eyes), and روحي (ruhi – my soul). These expressions convey both literal and connotative meanings, reflecting the emotional depth and cultural significance of love in the Arabic tradition. The findings reveal two main thematic representations: love as a deep emotional attachment, and love as a life-changing, soul-connecting force. Each verse of the song contributes to this portrayal—emphasizing completeness in companionship, the struggle of separation, and the merging of emotional perspectives. Beyond its lyrical beauty, the song embodies key values of Arab cultural expression, where love is not only romantic but also existential. This study contributes to the understanding of Arabic semantic structures and highlights the importance of music as a medium for expressing complex cultural emotions.   عَدّ أغنية و أنا معك ("وأنا معك") للفنّان محمد السهلي عملاً غنائياً عاطفياً وشعرياً، تُصوِّر الحبّ باعتباره قوّة هائلة، تحوّلية وموحِّدة. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى استكشاف تمثيل الحقل الدلالي للحبّ في هذه الأغنية من خلال المنهج الوصفي النوعي المقرون بالتحليل الدلالي. ويركّز التحليل على الكلمات والتعابير الرئيسة في النص الغنائي، مثل: حب (ḥubb – الحب)، حبيبي (ḥabībī – حبيبي)، قلبي (qalbī – قلبي)، عيوني (‘uyūnī – عيوني)، و روحي (rūḥī – روحي). وتنقل هذه التعابير معانيَ حرفية وأخرى إيحائية، بما يعكس عمق العاطفة وأهمية الحبّ في الثقافة العربية. وتكشف النتائج عن تمثيلين موضوعيين رئيسين: أوّلهما الحبّ كارتباط عاطفي عميق، وثانيهما الحبّ كقوّة تغيّر الحياة وتصل الأرواح بعضها ببعض. ويسهم كلّ مقطع من الأغنية في هذا التصوير، حيث يُبرز الكمال في الرفقة، ومعاناة الفراق، واندماج الرؤى العاطفية. وبالإضافة إلى جمال النصوص الشعرية، تُجسّد الأغنية قيماً أساسية من التعبير الثقافي العربي، حيث يظهر الحبّ ليس فقط كعاطفة رومانسية، بل كحقيقة وجودية. وتُسهم هذه الدراسة في فهم البُنى الدلالية في اللغة العربية، وتؤكّد على دور الموسيقى كوسيلة للتعبير عن الانفعالات الثقافية المعقّدة.   Lagu و أنا معك ("Dan Aku Bersamamu") karya Mohammed Alsahli merupakan sebuah lagu cinta yang puitis dan sarat emosi, menggambarkan cinta sebagai kekuatan yang dahsyat, transformatif, dan mempersatukan. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi representasi medan makna cinta dalam lagu tersebut melalui metode deskriptif kualitatif yang dipadukan dengan analisis semantik. Analisis difokuskan pada kata-kata dan ungkapan kunci dalam bahasa Arab yang terdapat dalam lirik, seperti حب (ḥubb – cinta), حبيبي (ḥabībī – kekasihku), قلبي (qalbī – hatiku), عيوني (‘uyūnī – mataku), dan روحي (rūḥī – jiwaku). Ungkapan-ungkapan ini menyampaikan makna denotatif maupun konotatif, yang mencerminkan kedalaman emosional serta signifikansi budaya cinta dalam tradisi Arab. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan dua representasi tematik utama: cinta sebagai ikatan emosional yang mendalam, dan cinta sebagai kekuatan yang mengubah hidup serta menghubungkan jiwa. Setiap bait lagu berkontribusi pada penggambaran tersebut—menekankan kesempurnaan dalam kebersamaan, pergulatan karena perpisahan, serta penyatuan perspektif emosional. Lebih dari sekadar keindahan lirik, lagu ini mewujudkan nilai-nilai penting dalam ekspresi budaya Arab, di mana cinta tidak hanya bersifat romantis, tetapi juga eksistensial. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman struktur semantik bahasa Arab sekaligus menyoroti pentingnya musik sebagai media untuk mengekspresikan emosi kultural yang kompleks.

Abstract

Abstract:“This study analyzes the lyrics of "Ala Bali" using Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic approach to uncover the layers of meaning related to unspoken love, longing, and waiting. Employing a descriptive-qualitative method, the research identifies linguistic signs (signifiers) in the lyrics, examines the relationship between signifiers and the signified, and interprets the literal, symbolic, and emotional meanings embedded within. The analysis reveals that the song's lyrics contain complex symbols reflecting emotional dilemmas, social norms, and the dynamics of love in Arab culture. Signifiers such as "حَبَّيْتُهْ بَيْنِيْ وَبَيْن نَفْسِيْ" and "عَلَى بَالِيْ" express the tension between personal feelings and societal constraints. The moral messages conveyed include the courage to express emotions and an awareness of longing as an integral part of the love experience. This study contributes to the field of semiotics by offering new insights into Arabic song lyrics and enriching the understanding of Arab cultural expressions through linguistic signs.”

Abstract

Background: Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, sebagai lembaga pendidikan dasar Islam, memainkan peran penting dalam mengembangkan kemampuan siswa dalam membaca teks-teks klasik Islam melalui keterampilan membaca (maharah qiroah). Namun, proses pembelajaran masih largely konvensional dan kurang menarik bagi siswa. Kegiatan pelayanan masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan guru MI dengan meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam memanfaatkan teknologi pembelajaran digital berbasis Augmented Reality (AR), khususnya AR Kubus, guna meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa. Metode: Metode implementasi meliputi kuliah interaktif, demonstrasi, simulasi, dan latihan dalam merancang rencana pelajaran berbasis AR. Hasil: Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan tanggapan positif dari peserta, dengan skor rata-rata 4,1 dari 5. Sebanyak 96% peserta menyatakan minat untuk menerapkan AR Kubus di sekolah masing-masing. Namun, keterbatasan infrastruktur tetap menjadi tantangan utama dalam implementasi teknologi pembelajaran digital. Kesimpulan: Pelatihan ini memberikan langkah awal yang mendasar untuk mengubah pembelajaran MI menjadi pendekatan yang lebih inovatif dan relevan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan saat ini.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of elderly residents in Ngancar Village regarding the importance of maintaining health through the adoption of a healthy lifestyle. The background of this activity is based on the low awareness among the elderly about maintaining both physical and mental health, as well as the high prevalence of degenerative diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, which are often caused by unhealthy lifestyles. The implementation method consisted of three main stages: preparation, socialization, and evaluation. The preparation stage involved coordination with the village government, the local health center (Puskesmas), and elderly health cadres to determine the materials, participants, and technical aspects of the program. The socialization stage was carried out through interactive lectures, discussions, health check-ups, and elderly exercise demonstrations, which were attended by 45 participants. The evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test assessments, which showed an average improvement of 28% in participants’ understanding. The results indicated that educational and participatory approaches were effective in enhancing the elderly’s awareness and commitment to practicing healthy living habits sustainably. As a follow-up, the Ngancar Village Elderly Health Group was established to serve as a forum for regular activities such as exercise sessions, routine health check-ups, and nutrition education. In addition, the village government committed to conducting regular elderly health monitoring through the village health program. This activity is expected to serve as a model for sustainable, community-based elderly health empowerment that can be replicated in other regions.

Abstract

Mastery of mahārah kalām (speaking skills) is a primary objective in Arabic pedagogy, yet students frequently encounter challenges such as limited vocabulary, psychological barriers, and insufficient interactive practice. In many Indonesian higher education settings, speaking activities are often eclipsed by grammar-centric instruction, resulting in a discrepancy between curricular objectives and oral proficiency. This study investigates the integration of ChatGPT as an AI-driven conversational tool to bridge this gap at Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Sunan Giri (UNUGIRI). Employing a qualitative exploratory design, the research engaged twenty intermediate-level students from the Arabic Language and Literature Program. Data were synthesized through in-depth interviews, standardized speaking rubrics, and longitudinal learning protocols. The findings demonstrate that ChatGPT significantly enhances fluency, grammatical precision, and communicative confidence by providing a responsive, low-anxiety environment for iterative practice. Furthermore, the AI's immediate feedback serves as a scaffold for independent oral development. This research addresses a critical gap regarding AI-mediated Arabic instruction in the Indonesian context. The implications suggest that structured, lecturer-guided integration of ChatGPT can effectively mitigate affective filters and expand interactive opportunities in environments where authentic Arabic immersion is limited.

Abstract

Generation Z, as digital natives, requires interactive, visual, and engaging learning media—particularly for developing Arabic speaking skills, which students often find challenging. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a 3D Augmented Reality (AR) Cube as an innovative learning medium to enhance Arabic speaking proficiency among university students. Using the ADDIE-based Research and Development (R&D) model, the study was conducted with 38 students from the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program at UNUGIRI over four weeks (eight sessions). Data were collected through expert validation, student response questionnaires, classroom observation, and pre-test/post-test assessments. Results show that the AR Cube was rated "highly valid" by both content (4.8/5.0) and media experts (4.6/5.0). Student feedback was overwhelmingly positive (86.3% agreement), and speaking skills improved significantly—from an average pre-test score of 63.4 to 86.5 post-test (+36.4%; p < 0.05, Cohen's d = 1.8). These findings confirm that a physical-digital hybrid AR medium effectively boosts both motivation and speaking competence, addressing key challenges in modern Arabic language instruction. However, the medium's effectiveness is partially dependent on access to compatible smartphones and stable internet connectivity. The AR Cube is thus recommended for integration into active, edutainment-based Arabic classrooms, with consideration of students' technological access.Generasi Z sebagai digital native membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang interaktif, visual, dan menyenangkan, terutama dalam pengembangan keterampilan berbicara bahasa Arab yang selama ini dianggap menantang. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas Kubus Augmented Reality (AR) 3D sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara mahasiswa. Menggunakan model Research and Development (R&D) ADDIE, penelitian dilaksanakan di Program Studi Bahasa dan Sastra Arab UNUGIRI terhadap 38 mahasiswa selama empat minggu (delapan pertemuan). Data dikumpulkan melalui validasi ahli, angket respons pengguna, observasi, serta pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Kubus AR dinyatakan sangat layak oleh ahli materi (skor 4,8) dan ahli media (skor 4,6). Respons mahasiswa sangat positif (86,3%), dengan peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan berbicara: rata-rata skor naik dari 63,4 menjadi 86,5 (peningkatan +36,4%; p < 0,05; Cohen's d = 1,8). Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa integrasi media fisik-digital berbasis AR efektif meningkatkan motivasi dan keterampilan berbicara, sekaligus menjawab tantangan pembelajaran bahasa Arab di era digital. Efektivitas media ini sebagian bergantung pada ketersediaan smartphone yang kompatibel dan koneksi internet yang stabil. Media ini direkomendasikan untuk diadopsi dalam pembelajaran aktif berbasis edutainment dengan mempertimbangkan akses teknologi mahasiswa.
