Abstract

A research about movement of clay materials of soil body compiler through mechanism infiltrate and soils permeability have been conducted. The Result of research show happened movement of clay materials of soil body compiler both of soil parent materials. The maximum rate of infiltration at the soil derived from parent materials of Clay stone reach 8,79 cm / hour and downhill at deepness 52 cm ( BW1 horizon ) with speed 1,71 cm / hour. Referring to that seen rate of infiltration to cause happened movement of clay materials with tendency increase from 33 % at A horizon, increased of become 44 % at Bw1 horizon. While at the soil derived from parent materials of Sand stone that its maximum rate of infiltration reach 8,59 cm / hour and downhill at deepness 145 cm and show the increasing of clays content according to deepness of horizon and soil at Ap horison have 22% of clay and increased of become 50 % at horison 2Bt2 . Abstract

Biochar and Tithonia compost are alternative materials used to ameliorate soil properties. The application of these two types of ameliorants in ex-coal mining areas aims to improve the physical properties of the soil and its effect on soybean growth and yield. The research was designed in the form of a polybag experiment conducted in a greenhouse. The soil used for this research was taken from the surface layer of ex-coal mining pits. The treatment levels tested consisted of three biochars and four Tithonia composts. Each treatment level was 0, 5, and 10 t biochar ha-1 and 0, 5, 10, and 15 t Tithonia compost ha-1. The research units were arranged in a completely randomized design. The results showed that applying 10 t biochar ha-1 and 15 t Tithonia compost ha-1 decreased soil bulk density, increased total pore space, aggregate stability, and soil water content capacity, and improved soybean growth and yield. The soil physical properties and soybean improvement were not significantly different from those due to the application of 5 t Tithonia compost ha-1.

Abstract

Application of slow decomposed organic ameliorants is expected to have a long-term impact on improving soil Physico-chemical properties. The source of in situ organic carbon that is easy to obtain on coal mine reclamation land are the coal itself and its coal impurities (parting) ameliorants. They are slow to decompose, so the residue can last for a long time in the soil. This study aimed to examine the effect of first-year residue of both coal and parting as ameliorants on the improvement of the physical and chemical properties of coal mine reclaimed soil and soybean yields. A pot study was เว็บสล็อต | R4shub conducted using a randomized block design with 3 treatments. The treatments tested were residues from the first year of the administration of ameliorant in situ, namely: Control, Bituminous coal ameliorant residue, and parting. Both coal and parting were tested with 5 doses each consisting of 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25 tons ha-1. The results showed that the first-year residue of bituminous coal ameliorant and coal impurities significantly affected some of the chemical properties of coal mine reclaimed soil. Both types of ameliorant residues had a very significant effect on increasing C-organic, humic acid, and total N content. The highest increase in soil organic C was found in soil ameliorated by using bituminous coal residues at 25 tons ha-1, and those by using coal impurities at was 20 tons ha-1. However, treatments did not affect soybean growth and yield.

Abstract

Penilaian status kesuburan tanah penting dijadikan acuan dalam optimalisasi pengelolaan, peningkatan efisiensi dan produktivitas lahan pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui status kesuburan kimia tanah pada perkebunan karet rakyat melalui survei dengan pendekatan konsep posisi polypedon tanah dan kelas lereng lahan di Provinsi Jambi. Sampel tanah komposit diambil dari polypedon tanah atas, tengah, dan bawah pada tingkat persen lereng lahan 15-24%, 8-15%, 3-8%, dan 0-3%. Paramater kesuburan kimia tanah yang dianalisis adalah Kapasitas Tukar Kation (KTK), Kejenuhan Basa (KB), P2O5, K2O, C-Organik, N-Total dan pH tanah. Penentuan status kesuburan berdasarkan kriteria yang dikeluarkan Pusat Penelitian Tanah Bogor tahun 1983. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa status kesuburan kimia tanah tergolong rendah pada semua tingkat lereng lahan dan pada semua polypedon. Optimalisasi produktivitas budi daya tanaman karet di lokasi penelitian direkomendasikan agar melakukan pengapuran untuk peningkatan pH tanah, pemberian bahan organik dan pemupukan, terutama pupuk dengan unsur hara nitrogen, dan kalium.

Abstract

Tunas Makmur Farmers Group I of Ibru Village, Mestong District, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province has not yet made optimal use of a large amount of agricultural, plantation and industrial waste, due to farmers' lack of knowledge about biochar and its use to improve soil productivity. For this reason, the implementing team offers an easy, cheap and sustainable solution to manage and utilize abundant sources that can be used as a source of biochar. The objectives of implementing this community service activity can be achieved through: 1) counseling and training about the benefits of biochar to improve the physical and chemical properties of soil, 2) demonstration of making biochar from agricultural, plantation and industrial waste using drum pyrolysis, 3) assistance in calculating the dose given and application in the field through demonstrations on partner land on how to use biochars properly. Partners in this activity earn their main income from being food crop and plantation farmers. Agricultural, plantation and industrial waste is usually piled up on land and wasted because farmers do not yet have knowledge about the benefits of this waste. After conducting socialization and education through counseling and demonstrations about making biochar from agricultural and industrial waste, farmers have the motivation to use this waste as a source of soil carbon and as a soil conditioner.

Abstract

Limbah industri sawmill yang paling dominan ialah serbuk gergaji. Salah teknologi alternatif untuk memanfaatkan limbah biomassa ini arang atau biochar dan dapat digunakan secara langsung sebagai pembenah tanah. Lahan yang menjadi sentra budidaya jagung manis di Desa Rengas Bandung Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, adalah lahan marginal dengan kualitas kesuburan tanah rendah. Salah satu penyebab rendahnya kualitas kesuburan tanahnya adalah kandungan bahan organik atau humus yang rendah di dalam tanah. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah kualitas kesuburan tanah yang rendah tersebut adalah memberikan bahan organik ke dalam tanah. Penggunaaan biochar serbuk gergaji menjadi solusi karena terdapat potensi bahan serbuk gergaji hasil limbah sawmill yang beroperasi di Desa Rengas Bandung dan desa terdekat.  Menggunakan biochar sebagai amelioran organik yang fungsinya bertahan lama di dalam tanah atau organik stabil menjadi teknologi dan penggelolaan jangka panjang kandungan bahan organik tanah. Tujuan dari program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah agar limbah industri perkayuan atau sawmill berupa serbuk gergaji dan residu tanaman hasil panen jagung manis berupa batang dan akar dapat dibuat jadi biochar dan sekaligus dapat digunakan sebagai bahan yang dapat memperbaiki kualitas fisika dan kimia tanah dari lahan budidaya sendiri. Hasil yang dicapai dari program pengabdian adalah petani mengakui mendapat pengetahuan baru tentang biochar dan sudah mampu membuat biochar dari limbah pertanian dengan alat drum pirolisator. Kelompok mitra pengabdian sedang dalam proses melaksanakan demplot pemanfaatan biochar serbu gergaji dalam budidaya jagung manis.

Abstract

Limbah tanaman sawit hasil pembongkaran siklus tanam pertama sebagai sumber bahan baku biochar tersedia dalam jumlah banyak pada lahan perkebunan kelapa sawit yang akan di replanting. Ketidaktahuan petani yang terhimpun Kelompok Tani Makmur Desa Damai Kecamatan Renah Mandaluh Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat dalam mengelola dan memanfaatkan limbah tanaman sawit menyebabkan bahan tersebut terbuang begitu saja di lapangan. Biochar merupakan amelioran yang dapat memperbaiki kesuburan tanah dari lahan yang digunakan untuk budidaya tanaman sawit terutama siklus tanam kedua. Tujuan dari program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberdayakan Kelompok Tani Makmur dalam mengelola sumber karbon organik in situ menjadi biochar untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan kualitas kesuburan tanah lahan pertanian secara berkelanjutan. Program pengabdian dilaksanakan melalui metode penyuluhan, bimbingan teknis pembuatan biochar, dan bimbingan pengaplikasian biochar pada lahan pertanaman siklus kedua atau replanting tanaman kelapa sawit. Hasil yang dicapai dari program pengabdian adalah petani mengakui mendapat pengetahuan baru tentang biochar dan pemanfaatan residu tanaman kelapa sawit hasil pembongkaran siklus penanaman pertama sebagai bahan baku biochar dan pemanfaatnya untuk meningkat kesuburan tanah lahan perkebunan kelapa sawit. Petani mengetahui teknologi dan dapat membuat biochar dengan teknologi yang sudah diperkenalkan.

Abstract

Desa Tarikan, yang terletak di Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, Provinsi Jambi, menghadapi sejumlah tantangan dalam pengembangan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi pelaku UMKM di desa ini adalah rendahnya literasi terhadap teknologi digital serta kurang optimalnya efisiensi dalam pengelolaan usaha. Selain itu, terdapat kelemahan dalam aspek manajerial, strategi pemasaran digital yang belum berkembang, dan sistem keuangan usaha yang belum tertata dengan baik. Produk yang dihasilkan pun masih terbatas pada komoditas musiman seperti duku dan durian, tanpa adanya diversifikasi atau inovasi nilai tambah. Merespons kondisi tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dirancang dengan tujuan memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam bidang keuangan digital (digital finance) dan inovasi bisnis berbasis digital. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi strategis untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan produktivitas pelaku UMKM di Desa Tarikan. Dengan menguasai teknologi digital, pelaku usaha akan mampu menyusun strategi bisnis yang lebih adaptif dan memperkuat daya saing mereka di tengah transformasi pasar yang semakin terdigitalisasi. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui metode ceramah serta sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab yang interaktif, sehingga peserta dapat lebih mudah memahami materi dan mengaitkannya dengan praktik usaha mereka. Hasil utama dari kegiatan ini mencakup peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pelaku UMKM terkait digital finance dan inovasi bisnis digital. Selain itu, kegiatan ini turut memberikan pemahaman kepada pemerintah desa mengenai pentingnya peran regulasi dan kebijakan lokal dalam mendorong pertumbuhan dan kinerja UMKM secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Introduction: Acid mine drainage (AMD) is a major environmental problem characterized by low pH and elevated heavy metals such as Fe and Mn that can contaminate aquatic ecosytems. Environmentally friendly treatment alternatives include water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) for phytoremediation and biochar for metal adsorption and pH buffering Objective: To analyze the effects of water hyacinth and biochar on increasing pH and reducing Fe and Mn concentrations in AMD Method: An experimental study was conducted using combination treatments of water hyacinth and biochar at several dosage levels. Measured parameters included pH and Fe–Mn concentrations. Data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at a 5% significance level. Results and Discussion: Water hyacinth did not significantly increase pH but significantly reduced Fe at 15 stems. Biochar significantly raised pH toward near-neutral conditions and reduced Fe and Mn, with the best performance at 20 g L⁻¹. Combined treatments were more effective than single treatments, increasing pH to 6.5–7.5 and achieving >99% Fe and Mn removal Conclusion: Water hyacinth–biochar combinations offer a promising, low-cost, and eco-friendly AMD treatment via synergistic phytoremediation and adsorption
