Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of utilizing GeoGebra technology as a mathematics learning medium integrated with ethnomathematics concepts in enhancing students' understanding of geometry material. The background of this research is based on low student interest and learning outcomes in mathematics subjects, particularly geometry, as well as the need to integrate local culture in learning to create more meaningful contexts. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to review existing literature on the use of technology in ethnomathematics-based learning. A total of 15 relevant articles from the last 5 years were selected and analyzed using SLR to determine technology opportunities in creating culturally-based learning media. The article selection process used strict inclusion and exclusion criteria, with searches through academic databases such as Google Scholar using keywords "ethnomathematics", "GeoGebra", "technology", and "mathematics education". The findings from the literature review indicate that digital technology, particularly GeoGebra, has great potential in developing mathematics learning media. The articles analyzed consistently report improvements in learning interest, conceptual understanding, and appreciation of local culture when technology is used as a bridge between formal mathematics and ethnomathematics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi GeoGebra dalam pembelajaran matematika di tingkat sekolah menengah. GeoGebra merupakan software matematika dinamis yang menggabungkan geometri, aljabar, dan kalkulus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan observasi lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi pembelajaran, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, serta dokumentasi proses pembelajaran menggunakan GeoGebra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan GeoGebra memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa, khususnya pada materi geometri dan fungsi. Visualisasi dinamis yang disajikan GeoGebra membantu siswa memahami konsep abstrak menjadi lebih konkret. Tingkat keaktifan dan motivasi belajar siswa juga meningkat karena pembelajaran menjadi lebih interaktif dan menarik. Namun, ditemukan beberapa kendala dalam implementasinya seperti keterbatasan sarana prasarana dan kemampuan teknis guru dalam mengoperasikan aplikasi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi guru matematika dalam penggunaan GeoGebra serta penyediaan fasilitas pendukung yang memadai untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

While MSMEs play a vital role, they still face serious challenges, particularly in marketing. Many MSMEs in villages still rely on conventional methods to market their products, such as direct sales in traditional markets, word of mouth, or local marketing with very limited reach. This results in superior village products, such as Getek Online (GeOL), being unable to compete more broadly in regional or national markets. Various digital platforms such as social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), marketplaces (Shopee, Tokopedia, Bukalapak), and e-commerce websites and applications provide significant opportunities for MSMEs to expand market reach and increase product competitiveness. Not only does it increase sales, digital marketing also helps businesses understand consumer behavior, build long-term relationships with customers, and increase promotional effectiveness at a relatively lower cost than conventional media. Responding to these challenges, the Getek Online (GeOL) initiative emerged, a community-based movement to digitalize the marketing of river crossings using crossing tools made from wood and bamboo, typical of Pematang Serai village. GeOL is a local innovation aimed at facilitating village MSMEs in utilizing digital marketing collectively and in a structured manner.
