The level of transmission and spread of Covid-19 is still increasing and there has not been a significant decrease because the implementation of policies that handle Covid-19 which refers to WHO directives are still faced with many problems so that the handling is still not optimal and effective. Therefore, it is necessary to change the approach to handling the Covid-19 pandemic which is based on the values of Pancasila as a view of the life philosophy of the nation and the Indonesian people when viewed from the perspective of national interests, which is expected to increase the useful results of the efforts to handle the Covid-19 pandemic carried out by the Government. Abstract

The quality of basic education is greatly influenced by teacher competence, which in its implementation requires a strategic role of school supervisors. This study aims to examine how elementary school supervisors in Banjar Regency implement strategic management in improving teacher competence. A qualitative case study approach was used with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observations, and document studies. The results of the study indicate that supervisors carry out their roles as strategic planners, supervisors based on mentoring, and evaluators of periodic coaching programs. A dialogic and collaborative supervision approach improves teacher professionalism, especially in learning planning. The main challenges are administrative burdens and time constraints, but can be overcome through collaboration with the principal. The strategic management implemented by supervisors has a positive impact on improving teacher competence and supports the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum more effectively. These findings are relevant for the development of policies for fostering educational human resources in the regions.

Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum requires strong collaboration between education stakeholders, including the principal as a learning leader. This study aims to analyze the role of the Principal Working Group (K3S) in making the Independent Curriculum policy a success in Public Elementary Schools in Banjar Regency. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study type. Primary data was obtained through interviews, participatory observations, and documentation of K3S activities, which were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that K3S plays an active role as a coordination forum, organizer of independent training, and a liaison between schools and the education office, although it still faces challenges such as competency gaps and limited external training. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of institutional strengthening and systematic assistance to K3S in order to encourage the effectiveness of the implementation of the Independent Curriculum evenly at the elementary school level.
