Abstract

School Based Management (SBM) is the alignment of resources which independently ran by schools where all stakeholder groups involved. SBM also provides a flexibility for schools to determine directions and policies that are relevant to the situation and environmental conditions. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of SBM in Islamic-Based Junior High Schools. This research was taken at Al-Azhar 37 Middle School in Pekanbaru. The research method that was qualitative research with a case study approach. The research subjects were the principal, student representatives, public relations representatives, administrative staff, and 2 teachers and 5 students. The research object was the implementation of school-based management it self. The data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation. As the results of this study, the authors found that several school policies were related to student management, school relationship management with the community, curriculum management, personal management, special service management, facilities and infrastructure management, school budget management. One of the policies that related to student management was providing the online registration of prospective new students as well as giving prospective students the terms and conditions It was continually completed by the requirements to do an interview, taking test of Math, English, Recitation and memorization test juz 30.

Abstract

Correlational research is a methodological approach that aims to identify and analyze the relationship between two or more variables without manipulation. This article aims to comprehensively explain the basic concepts of correlational research, its objectives, characteristics, design types, and limitations. The method used in this study is library research with an analytical-critical approach to various relevant academic literature. The results show that correlational research not only identifies the existence of relationships between variables but can also be used for predictive purposes through regression analysis and multiple regression. The types of correlational designs discussed include bivariate correlation, path analysis, cross-lagged panel, and factor analysis. On the other hand, the main limitation of this approach lies in its inability to explain causal relationships and the tendency for biased data interpretation if not analyzed carefully. By understanding the characteristics and weaknesses of this method, researchers are expected to be able to use it appropriately in various social and educational research contexts.

Abstract

The integration of information systems with digital technology enables Islamic educational institutions such as madrasas, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), and universities to improve governance effectiveness, enhance transparency of academic services, and enhance broader and more flexible access to learning. The method used was a literature review, exploring the latest research findings relevant to the digitalization of Islamic education. The study results indicate that the implementation of a Learning Management System, an academic information system, and educational big data contribute to improving the quality of management and learning based on Islamic values. However, obstacles remain in infrastructure, digital human resource literacy, data security, and concerns about the loss of spiritual touch in educational interactions. With targeted integration based on Islamic values, digital information systems have the potential to optimize the role of Islamic education in producing a superior and characterful generation in the digital era.Integrasi sistem informasi dengan teknologi digital memungkinkan lembaga pendidikan Islam seperti madrasah, pesantren, dan perguruan tinggi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas tata kelola, transparansi layanan akademik, serta akses pembelajaran secara lebih luas dan fleksibel. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur melalui penelusuran hasil penelitian terkini yang relevan dengan digitalisasi pendidikan Islam. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Learning Management System, sistem informasi akademik, dan big data pendidikan berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas manajemen dan pembelajaran berbasis nilai Islam. Namun, hambatan masih ditemukan pada aspek infrastruktur, literasi digital SDM, keamanan data, serta kekhawatiran hilangnya sentuhan nilai spiritual dalam interaksi pendidikan. Dengan integrasi yang terarah dan berlandaskan nilai keislaman, sistem informasi digital berpotensi mengoptimalkan peran pendidikan Islam dalam mencetak generasi unggul dan berkarakter di era digital.
