Abstract

Abstract: The Evangelical Christian Church in Timor has two ecclesiastical positions, namely ministry positions and organizational positions. The pastor is a church official who carries these two positions. As servants of Christ, pastors together with other church officials are given the task of translating the vision of the Kingdom of God and leading the implementation of the mission that Christ has entrusted to their church. In the GMIT Code, pastors are also referred to as employees. As employees, pastors are Expected to have involvement, motivation and dedication or employee engagement as a commitment to Christ through the church. With employee engagement, it is hoped that the spirituality of service will be maintained. This research aims to find out how employee engagement operates in the duties of GMIT pastors, especially in the West Kupang classist area and whether this influences the spirituality of their ministry. This research uses library study and field research methods. The results obtained in interviews with resource persons were then elaborated with theories related to the field study material. The results of the research show that GMIT pastors in the West Kupang area still have commitment as organizational officials and maintain spirituality as ministry officials.

Abstract

sexual violence in East Nusa Tenggara and evaluates the church’s pastoral response within the context of poverty and patriarchy. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study strategy, data were collected through in – depth interviews pastoral documentation. The findings reveal that the survivor experienced trauma in physical, psychological, social and spiritual aspects, including a crisis of faith and loss of self-worth. While the local church demonstrated empathy, it has not yet established a trauma informed sfae space or a comprehensive pastoral approach that addresses bodily and spiritual healing. This study recommends a contextual, relational, and incarnational model of pastoral care – where God’s presence is embodied through solidarity and concrete acts of compassion. The results affirm the urgent need for the church to develop a prophetic ministry that fosters healing and takes a firm stand alongside survivors.  AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pendampingan pastoral gereja terhadap korban kekerasan seksual inses. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan strategi studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi gerejawi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa korban mengalami dampak traumatis pada aspek fisik, psikologis, sosial, dan spiritual, termasuk krisis pergumulan iman yang mendalam dan keterpurukan identitas diri. Gereja di Mali – Kabupaten Alor menunjukkan empati, namun belum sepenuhnya dapat mebangun ruang aman yang peka terhadap trauma dan pendampingan yang menyentuh dimensi tubuh dan spiritual secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pendekatan pastoral yang bersifat kontekstual, relasional, dan inkarnasional di mana kehadiran Allah diwujudkan dalam solidaritas dan tindakan nyata. Hal ini menuntut gereja untuk mereformasi pelayanan pastoralnya agar lebih responsif terhadap penderitaan korban dan konteks sosial lokal.

Abstract

Pelayanan pastoral di Gereja Masehi Injili di Timor (GMIT) berlangsung dalam konteks sosial dan spiritual yang penuh dinamika, yang menuntut pendeta untuk memelihara kehidupan rohani di tengah beban pelayanan yang kompleks. Artikel ini menyelidiki dinamika spiritualitas para pendeta GMIT di Klasis Kupang Barat dalam konteks pelayanan yang kompleks dan menantang. Berdasarkan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan dukungan data kualitatif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pemahaman, pengalaman, dan nilai-nilai spiritualitas yang menghidupkan para pendeta. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa spiritualitas mereka berakar kuat pada relasi personal dengan Allah, namun tetap mengalami tekanan dan kelelahan spiritual akibat beban pelayanan dan struktur gerejawi. Dengan pendekatan teologis Andrew Root, spiritualitas dipahami sebagai partisipasi relasional dalam kehidupan Allah, bukan sekadar performa institusional. Temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa ibadah keluarga dan nilai-nilai seperti kesetiaan, kerendahan hati, dan relasi yang otentik menjadi sumber kekuatan rohani yang signifikan. Artikel ini mengusulkan perlunya reformasi spiritual menyeluruh, pendampingan keluarga, pembaruan budaya jemaat, serta reformasi struktural gereja untuk menopang pelayanan pastoral yang hidup dan berkelanjutan.
