Abstract

Latar Belakang: Kualitas pelayanan pengasuhan di Indonesia masih dinilai kurang memuaskan. Dalam menilai efisiensi manajemen layanan rumah sakit, salah satu parameter yang digunakan adalah tingkat Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR), yang mencerminkan persentase penggunaan tempat tidur dalam suatu unit rawat inap dalam periode waktu tertentu. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan nilai Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) adalah dengan meningkatkan mutu layanan keperawatan, mengingat bahwa layanan keperawatan merupakan layanan utama yang diberikan oleh rumah sakit kepada pasien. Oleh karena itu, manajemen rumah sakit perlu memberikan perhatian khusus terhadap mutu layanan keperawatan sebagai bagian integral dari upaya meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan tempat tidur di unit rawat inap.Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui apakah mutu pelayanan keperawatan berhubungan dengan Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) di Rumah Sakit Islam Banjarnegara.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuantitatif observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel terdiri dari 62 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner.Hasil: Jumlah responden terbanyak dalam penelitian ini adalah laki-laki, mencapai 33 responden (53,2%), dengan mayoritas berusia lansia awal (46-55 tahun) sebanyak 19 responden (30,6%). Sebanyak 35 responden (56,5%) memberikan penilaian mutu pelayanan dalam kategori sedang. Sementara itu, sebanyak 42 responden (67,7%) memberikan penilaian BOR dalam kategori ideal. Hasil uji Spearman antara mutu pelayanan keperawatan dan Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR) menunjukkan p value sebesar 0,005.Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara mutu pelayanan keperawatan dengan Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR).Saran: Hasil pelnellitian untuk dapat menjadi relfelrelnsi bagi pelnellitian sellanjutnya telrkait mutu pelayanan keperawatan dan Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR).Kata Kunci: Mutu Pelayanan Keperawatan, Bed Occupancy Rate.

Abstract

Background: First-year students often face various challenges when transitioning to a new academic environment. Such as increased academic demands, different social situations, and changes in learning habits. Academic flexibility is a key aspect of their success during this transition period. Self-efficacy, which is defined as an individual's belief in their ability to overcome obstacles and achieve goals, is considered to play an important role in the adaptation process. Objective: The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and academic adaptation skills in first-year nursing students. Method: This study uses a quantitative methodology with a cross-sectional approach. Data was collected using the GSE (General Self-Efficacy Scale) questionnaire, which consists of 20 questions, as well as 15 statements regarding academic adaptability. The survey involved 111 respondents using a simple random selection technique. The data was statistically analyzed using the Spearman rank test. Result: The results showed a high category of self-efficacy of 57 respondents (51.4%). Academic adaptability in the good category was 59 respondents (53.2%). The results of the statistical test obtained a p-value: 0.000 with a close relationship of 0.325 which means that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and academic adaptability in nursing students Conclusion: These results indicate that there is a relationship between Self-Efficacy and the Academic Adaptation Ability of First Year Nursing Students. Students with high self-efficacy tend to have better adaptation abilities, while students with low self-efficacy are more prone to experiencing difficulties in adjusting to the academic environment. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the self-efficacy of new students to further support the academic adaptation process.

Abstract

Background: Academic achievement reflects the success of higher education. However, data from LLDIKTI Region VI Central Java (2022) showed a decline in the average GPA of nursing students at several private universities, including Sultan Agung Islamic University (UNISSULA) Semarang. This raises concerns about the effectiveness of the learning process. One factor that may influence academic performance is the quality of interpersonal communication between lecturers and students. Effective communication, involving the exchange of information, feelings, and meaning, is essential in creating a supportive learning environment. Objective: This study aimed to examine the relationship between lecturers’ interpersonal communication skills and students’ academic performance at UNISSULA. Method: A quantitative cross-sectional design was used, involving 122 undergraduate nursing students from the 2023 cohort selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a 14-item interpersonal communication questionnaire and analyzed with Spearman’s rank correlation. Result: The results showed that 59% of students rated lecturers’ communication as very good, and 49.2% had high GPAs. A significant correlation was found (p = 0.001) Conclusion: Interpersonal communication of lecturers is important to enhance students' motivation, understanding, and engagement. Therefore, communication training is necessary to support the quality of education and academic achievement.

Abstract

Background: Efficacy is a person's way of doing something in order to improve the maximum quality of learning. The ability to think critically in dealing with very busy lectures has a significant influence on learning. Objective: This research aims to examine the relationship between Self-Efficacy and Critical Thinking Ability in students at the Faculty of Nursing, Sultan Agung Islamic University, Semarang.Method: This research applies a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. This research involved 141 respondents who were selected through purposive sampling, namely a sample selection technique based on predetermined criteria. The data collected was then analyzed using the Spearman rank test. The questionnaire used is in the form of a Likert scale with each variable consisting of 25 questions. Results: Research that has been carried out shows that the majority of respondents are in the high category with 83 respondents (58.87%). Critical Thinking Ability is in the high category with 110 respondents (78.29%). The statistical test results obtained a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05) which means there is a relationship between Self-Efficacy and the Critical Thinking Ability of Unissula Nursing Faculty Students. Conclusion: Self-efficacy and critical thinking skills in Nursing students at Sultan Agung Islamic University Semarang have a significant relationship. This relationship is positive with moderate closeness (0.496) and a very low p-value (0.000) which indicates that increasing self-efficacy is related to increasing critical thinking abilities.Keywords: Self-Efficacy and Critical Thinking Ability

Abstract

Penyakit Terkait Layanan Kesehatan (HAIs) adalah penyakit yang didapat seseorang di rumah sakit atau tempat layanan kesehatan lainnya saat menerima perawatan medis. Menurut World Health Organization (WHO) pada tahun 2022 melaporkan bahwa ada 8,9 juta kejadian Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) di fasilitas kesehatan pelayanan perawatan dan 1 dari setiap 10 persen telah meninggal dunia akibat infeksi nosokormial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui bagaimanakah hubungan pengetahuan perawat dengan pencegahan Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) di ruang rawat inap RSI Sultan Agung Banjarbaru. Metodologi penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi kuantitatif cross-sectional. Sampling jenuh digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel, dan seluruhnya berjumlah 124 responden. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan berdasarkan uji Spearmen p value 0,00 < 0,05 menunjukkan bahwa telrdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara variabel pengetahuan perawat dengan variabel pencegahan HAIs. Perawat diharapkan agar dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan pada diri perawat secara pribadi dan agar memaksimalkan kinerja perawat terutama terkait pencegahan Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) dengan mengikuti training dan monitoring tenaga keperawatan di Rumah Sakit Islam Sultan Agung Banjarbaru.

Abstract

Background: Sharia-based nursing care emphasizes fulfilling patients’ biological, psychological, social, and spiritual needs by integrating the principles of maqashid sharia. Spiritual nursing diagnoses are an essential component as they influence patients’ recovery and quality of life; however, nurses’ ability to establish these diagnoses remains low. Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of mandatory training on sharia-based nursing on the ability to enforce spiritual nursing diagnoses. Method: A pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was applied to 76 nurses at Sari Asih Ciputat Hospital who met the PK II/Sharia Nurse II criteria. Data were collected using pretest–posttest questionnaires and practice observation sheets, then analyzed using a paired t-test with a significance level of α = 0.05. Results: The mean pretest score of 54.27 (SD = 22.17) increased to 67.63 (SD = 16.98) after the intervention, showing a statistically significant difference (t = -12.292; df = 71; p < 0.001; 95% CI: -15.52 to -11.19). The proportion of nurses who could optimally establish spiritual nursing diagnoses increased from 54.2% to 83.4% after mentoring. Observation results also indicated consistent improvement in practical skills. Conclusion: These findings demonstrate that sharia-based mandatory training with mentoring is effective in improving nurses’ competence in spiritual assessment and diagnosis. Suggestion: The implementation of continuous practice-based training to strengthen nurses' spiritual competencies and improve the quality of nursing services based on Sharia.   Keywords: Mandatory Training; Mentoring; Nursing Diagnosis; Sharia-Based Nursing; Spiritual.   Pendahuluan: Pelayanan keperawatan berbasis syariah menekankan pemenuhan kebutuhan biologis, psikologis, sosial, dan spiritual pasien dengan mengintegrasikan prinsip maqashid syariah. Diagnosis keperawatan spiritual menjadi komponen penting karena memengaruhi pemulihan dan kualitas hidup pasien, namun kemampuan perawat dalam menegakkannya masih rendah. Tujuan: Untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas mandatory training tentang keperawatan berbasis syariah terhadap kemapmpuan penegakan diagnosis keperawatan spiritual. Metode: Desain penelitian menggunakan pre-eksperimental one group pretest-posttest pada 76 perawat dengan kriteria PK II/Perawat Syariah II. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner pretest–posttest dan lembar observasi praktik, dianalisis menggunakan paired t-test dengan α = 0,05. Hasil menunjukkan Hasil: Rata-rata skor pretest 54.27 (SD = 22.17) meningkat menjadi 67.63 (SD = 16.98). Sementara itu, ketika posttest dengan perbedaan signifikan (t = -12.292; df = 71; p < 0.001; IK 95% -15.52 -11.19). Proporsi perawat yang mampu menegakkan diagnosis spiritual secara optimal meningkat dari 54.2% menjadi 83.4% setelah mentoring. Hasil observasi juga memperlihatkan peningkatan kemampuan praktik yang konsisten. Simpulan: Mandatory training berbasis mentoring efektif meningkatkan kompetensi perawat dalam pengkajian dan diagnosis spiritual. Saran: Penerapan pelatihan berkelanjutan berbasis praktik untuk memperkuat kompetensi spiritual perawat dan meningkatkan mutu pelayanan keperawatan berbasis syariah.   Kata Kunci: Diagnosis Keperawatan; Keperawatan Berbasis Syariah; Mandatory Training; Spiritual.
