Abstract

Essential oils are one of Indonesia's natural products that are widely used as the basic ingredients of medicines, perfumes, as flavor and food preservatives, aromatherapy, vegetable pepticides and so on. Raw materials for essential oils can be in the form of leaves, flowers, logs, bark, fruit seeds, roots or rhizomes. Essential oils in aromatic plants are found in oil glands, vessels, oil sacs or hair glands (grandular). The test uses the leaves of patchouli as a testing medium. To optimize the production of essential oils on patchouli leaves, prefix treatment is needed. This treatment is expected to help the process of macro and micro cell destruction. At the macro level, this cell destruction can be done by chopping or counting raw materials. However, for micro-cell destruction can be done by giving high waves to raw materials. In this case the intended waveform is an ultrasonic wave with 40 kHz. The variables compared in this study were ultrasonic treatment and the duration of treatment given. The first experiment compared the patchouli leaves that were exposed to ultrasonic and those that did not use ultrasonic. Then, the second experiment using ultrasonic for 15 minutes and 60 minutes. After the ultrasonic process is done, then using scanning electron microscopy to see the micro-structure of the leaves. The results of this study found that the leaf structure that was not subjected to ultrasonic treatment had a neater oil bag compared to those affected by ultrasonic. Further results were obtained that the ultrasonic duration also affected the micro-structure of the leaves

Abstract

Abstrak: Salah satu daerah yang terdampak Covid-19 adalah Desa Hariang Jaya Lebak Banten yang merupakan daerah penghasil jahe. Pemanfaatan jahe di desa tersebut masih dilakukan dengan cara menjualnya secara mentah dengan harga yang relatif murah. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan cara memberikan pelatihan (workshop) kepada masyarakat agar jahe yang dihasilkan dapat diproduksi kembali menjadi produk yang bernilai tinggi. Pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat ini diikuti oleh 35 orang dan dilaksanakan selama 1 hari dengan 3 materi meliputi: formulasi serta praktik pembuatan ginger care dan jahe candy, sharing petani millenial, dan strategi digital marketing. Berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test didapati pemahaman peserta mengenai formulasi ginger care dan jahe candy meningkat signifikan dari 72% menjadi 94%. Kemudian hasil pre-test dan post-test strategi digital marketing mengalami kenaikan dari 54% menjadi 82%. Diharapkan peserta dapat mengimplementasikan ilmu yang telah diberikan dengan optimal dalam memanfaatkan jahe merah menjadi suatu produk yang bernilai jual tinggi. Abstract: One of the areas affected by Covid-19 is Hariang Jaya Village, Lebak Banten, which is a ginger-producing area. Ginger is still used in the village by selling it raw at a relatively cheap price. This activity is carried out by providing training (workshops) to the community so that the ginger produced can be re-produced into high-value products. The training, which aims to increase community knowledge and skills, was attended by 35 people and was held for 1 day with 3 materials covering: formulation and practice of making ginger care and ginger candy, sharing millennial farmers, and digital marketing strategies. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, it was found that participants' understanding of the ginger care and ginger candy formulations increased significantly from 72% to 94%. Then the results of the pre-test and post-test of digital marketing strategies increased from 54% to 82%. It is hoped that the participants will be able to optimally implement the knowledge that has been given in utilizing red ginger into a product that has high selling value.

Abstract

Energy are the most important part of human life, every activity in human life is dependent on energy consumption. Humans are now using fossil fuel energy sources on a large scale so that fuel (fuel oil) is running low and alternative energy is needed. Hydrogen gas is an alternative energy that can replace fossil energy sources by using the electrolysis process in dry cell generators. The research aims to determine the material with the highest production and highest efficiency in the electrolysis process. This study used an experimental method by comparing stainless steel material with graphite sheets. From the results of the study it was concluded that the highest production rate was obtained for the variation of stainless steel 304 plate material at a time variation of 30 seconds with a result of 0.013333 l/s and the lowest variation for graphite sheets. at a time variation of 90 seconds with a result of 0.002222 l/s. The highest efficiency was obtained from variations in Stainless steel material with a time of 30 seconds reaching an efficiency of 45.19% and the lowest was obtained from variations of Graphite sheet with a time variation of only 7.53%.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMKN 10 Kota Bekasi terhadap teknologi informasi dasar melalui pelatihan yang dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan pengabdian masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melalui pendekatan interaktif dalam perancangan dan pelaksanaan pelatihan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian. Identifikasi kebutuhan dan karakteristik siswa dilakukan melalui survei awal, yang kemudian menjadi dasar pengembangan materi pelatihan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pemahaman siswa setelah mengikuti pelatihan, dengan rata-rata kenaikan sebesar 25%. Analisis berdasarkan tingkat kelas mengungkapkan bahwa pembelajaran efektif terjadi ketika siswa secara aktif terlibat dalam pembentukan pengetahuan mereka melalui interaksi dengan materi pelajaran dan partisipasi dalam aktivitas pembelajaran praktis. Kesimpulan ini membuka peluang untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut dalam konteks pembelajaran teknologi informasi dasar di sekolah menengah kejuruan. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bukan hanya memberikan pemahaman lebih dalam tentang pengaruh pelatihan, tetapi juga menunjukkan arah menuju perbaikan dan peningkatan pembelajaran teknologi informasi dasar di SMKN 10 Kota Bekasi.
