Abstract

Islamic banking has experienced a surge in financial growth in the last decade. Global economic challenges have encouraged many conventional banks to transform into sharia banks. Sharia banking can increase its operational efficiency by applying debt and equity financing methods by trade-off theory. This research investigates the effect of capital structure as measured by the debt-to-asset ratio (DAR) and debt-to-equity ratio (DER) on the financial performance of Sharia Commercial Banks as measured by return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE). This research is quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The data source comes from OJK Sharia Banking Statistics for 2017-2021. This study shows that DAR and DER have a significant effect on ROA. Apart from that, DAR has a substantial impact on ROE. However, this study indicates that DER does not significantly affect ROE.

Abstract

Vocabulary mastery is a core component of English language proficiency, particularly for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners who have limited exposure to authentic language input. A lack of vocabulary knowledge often restricts learners’ ability to understand texts and communicate ideas effectively. One instructional strategy that has been widely applied to address this issue is flashcard-based instruction, which emphasizes repeated exposure and active recall to support vocabulary retention. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of flashcard-based instruction in enhancing English vocabulary mastery among EFL learners through a systematic literature review. The review follows the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines to ensure a transparent and systematic research process. Data were collected from peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2020 and 2025 and retrieved via Google Scholar. After the processes of identification, screening, and eligibility assessment, 30 relevant studies were selected for analysis. The findings reveal that flashcard-based instruction has a positive impact on learners’ vocabulary development, with digital flashcards showing higher effectiveness due to the integration of multimedia features and spaced repetition systems. The study concludes that flashcard-based instruction is an effective and practical approach for improving English vocabulary mastery in EFL contexts.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh novel coronavirus SARS CoV-2 berpusat di Wuhan, China. Penyakit ini merupakan zoonosis yang disebarkan oleh hewan ke manusia. Seiring berkembangnya zaman, Covid-19 dapat dicegah dengan vaksin Covid-19. Namun pada pelaksanaannya terdapat beberapa faktor yang berhubungan dengan keikutsertaan masyarakat dalam vaksinasi Covid-19. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang berhubungan dengan keikutsertaan masyarakat dalam vaksinasi Covid-19. Metode: Desain studi penelitian ini adalah studi literatur 3 mesin pencari digunakan untuk menemukan literatur yaitu Google Scholar, Science Direct, dan PubMed. Pemilihan literatur dengan kriteria yang ditetapkan seperti terpublikasi tahun 2020-2022, desain studi cross-sectional dan kohort, penelitian di wilayah Asia, Amerika, dan Eropa, akses full-text gratis, dan penelitian bukan telaah literatur. Literatur terpilih sebanyak 21 artikel. Hasil: Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah faktor keraguan keamanan dan efektivitas vaksin Covid-19, ketakutan KIPI, sikap tenaga kesehatan tentang vaksinasi Covid-19, akses vaksin Covid-19 di wilayah kerja fasilitas kesehatan, kebijakan kewajiban vaksinasi Covid-19, dan demografi sosial sebagian besar memiliki hubungan dengan keikutsertaan masyarakat dalam vaksinasi Covid-19. Kesimpulan: Faktor yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini sebagian besar berhubungan dengan keikutsertaan vaksinasi Covid-19. sumber informasi yang adekuat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap positif terhadap vaksinasi Covid-19. Peningkatan akses menuju vaksinasi Covid-19 perlu mendapatkan perhatian khusus untuk memperluas jangkauan sasaran vaksinasi Covid-19.
