Abstract

Surau Village has potential as a tourist village, but the facilities and infrastructure are still very limited, and the level of public awareness has not grown well. In 2022 the PPM team has carried out social preparations, outreach, mentoring, training, mutual cooperation, and providing grants for tourism supporting facilities and infrastructure. There is already a community/village movement to manage it as a tourist village, but the development of Surau Village as a pilot tourism village still needs to be continued. This PPM is a further development of the Lubuk Vi area as a tourist destination. The community-based tourism development method begins with a meeting to form a work team, determine the design of an iconic image, grant ornaments and materials for painting the bridge, followed by mutual cooperation activities to install ornaments and paint the bridge. The suspension bridge in the Lubuk Vi area apart from making it easier and shorter for people to transport rice agricultural products, can also be used as a tourist attraction. Therefore, together with the PPM team, this bridge was repainted and decorated with LUBUK Vi ornaments to attract the interest of the millennial generation who likes selfies. The target audience is village officials, members of Pokdarwis, Karang Taruna, and communities around the area. The results of the activity show that the colorful bridge and the LUBUK Vi icon beautify the village, have an attraction, and become a tourist destination, as well as improving the economic and socio-cultural welfare of the community through utilizing local resources. This tourism-based community empowerment develops various complementary community qualities. Community recipients of the program are enthusiastic and take part in developing tourism in their villages, are involved in mutual cooperation, and care for settlements in their own environment.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of legal norms on the dual role of single parent women in Tanjung Harapan, Lubuklinggau City. Using descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through interviews and observations. The results show that single parent women function as breadwinners and child caregivers, although they face major challenges due to social stigma and cultural norms that limit their roles. While there is a legal framework that supports women's rights, implementation is often inadequate, resulting in economic insecurity. This research recommends the need for more responsive policies, including skills training programs and access to business capital to empower women. By doing so, it is hoped that legal norms can adapt to social realities to improve women's welfare and active participation in socio-economic development in the community. The findings provide important insights for policymakers in formulating programs that support gender equality.
