Abstract

Introduction: As many as 90% of teenage girls worldwide experience problems during menstruation, 50% of women experience primary dysmenorrhea and 10-20% of them suffer from symptoms that are quite severe. Objectives: To determine the relationship between academic stress and the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea in young women at SMA N 1 Ciemas Sukabumi. Method: The design of this study uses a descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional approach. The samples taken in this study were 55 respondents. The instruments used were the Adolescent Stress Scale (ESSA) and the Menstrual Symptom Questionnaire (MSQ). Result: From the univariate test results, it was found that the distribution of young women experiencing dysmenorrhea (85.5%) and academic stress was in the high category (60.0%). And the results of the bivariate test showed that there was a relationship between academic stress and the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea in young women with a p-value of 0.016. Conclusion: From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the higher the academic stress, the higher the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

Introduction: Gadgets are electronic devices that are specialized for certain purposes, which are around us such as cellphones, tablets, computers. Among the many gadgets available, children spend their time playing with cellphones, tablets, or excessive use of gadgets can cause eye health problems such as eye fatigue and social interaction. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of excessive gadget use and eye fatigue and changes in children's social interactions among students at Cinere 03 State Elementary School. Method: This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design on a sample of 97 students with total sampling using the Spearman rank correlation analysis test. Results: The research results showed that the majority of respondents were female, 50 students (51.5%), the majority of respondents were 12 years old, 48 students (49.5%), the level of gadget use in the medium category was 63 students (64.9%) , 49 students (50.5%) experienced eye fatigue in the no category, 73 students (75.3%) experienced social interaction in the sufficient category. The results of the analysis using Spearman rank correlation in the first hypothesis obtained a value of 0.295 (p>0.05), and the second hypothesis obtained a value of 0.939 (p>0.05). Suggestion: For children who are at risk of eye fatigue symptoms, this can be done by using the technique of working in front of a gadget or computer for 20 minutes, then looking at an object about 20 feet or meters away for 20 seconds and looking away from the screen.

Abstract

Student comes from the word student which means someone who studies or researches, students have an average age of 19 – 21 years. Stress is a common occurrence in everyday life that cannot be avoided. Stress can be experienced by individuals from all backgrounds. In reducing stress levels there are various methods used, one of which is lavender aromatherapy combination therapy and classical music therapy. To determine the effect of lavender aromatherapy and classical music therapy combination therapy on the stress level of regular nursing students at the University of Indonesia Maju Year 2023 before and after the intervention. This study used a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Pre-Experiment design with a population of 371 students, with purpossive sampling of 20 students. The data collection technique used the Depression Anxiety Scale questionnaire (DASS 42). The results showed the age of the dominant respondents 21 years as many as 15 people (75%), the majority gender of women as many as 17 people (85%), the pre-test stress level with a mean of 21,40 and the post-test stress level with a mean of 15,70. The results of bivariate analysis with shapiro wilk pretest normality test 0.202 > 0.05 posttest 0.190 > 0.05 then the data are normally distributed and dependent t-test 0.000 < 0.05 then it can be concluded that H0 is rejected, lavender aromatherapy combination therapy and classical music therapy affect the stress level of regular nursing students at the University of Indonesia Maju. Students who experience stress can do a combination therapy application of lavender aromatherapy and classical music therapy.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan masalah kesehatan kronis dengan prevalensi yang terus meningkat. Kualitas tidur yang buruk diduga memengaruhi regulasi tekanan darah melalui aktivasi sistem saraf simpatis, namun hubungan spesifiknya pada pasien di tingkat layanan primer seperti Puskesmas Rajeg, Kabupaten Tangerang Banten, belum banyak dieksplorasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan kualitas tidur dengan derajat hipertensi di wilayah kerja puskesmas tersebut. Desain penelitian menggunakan cross-sectional analitik observasional dengan sampel sebanyak 105 pasien hipertensi yang dipilih secara purposive. Kualitas tidur diukur menggunakan kuesioner Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), sedangkan derajat hipertensi ditentukan berdasarkan pengukuran tekanan darah dengan sphygmomanometer digital. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman Rho. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden memiliki kualitas tidur buruk (81,0%) dan berada pada kelompok hipertensi derajat 1 (49,5%). Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara kualitas tidur dengan derajat hipertensi (p-value = 0,026; ρ = 0,218). Hubungan tersebut bersifat positif dan lemah, mengindikasikan bahwa semakin buruk kualitas tidur, cenderung diikuti dengan derajat hipertensi yang lebih tinggi. Temuan ini mendukung pentingnya mempertimbangkan kualitas tidur sebagai salah satu faktor dalam manajemen hipertensi. Disarankan agar skrining kualitas tidur diintegrasikan ke dalam asesmen rutin pasien hipertensi di puskesmas dan edukasi tentang sleep hygiene diperkuat sebagai bagian dari intervensi gaya hidup untuk mencegah progresivitas penyakit.
