Abstract

Community service (PKM) with the title of training in compiling teaching modules on chemical concepts based on conceptual change models for MGMP chemistry teachers in Mojokerto Regency and City as a form of activity aimed at providing an understanding of conceptual change models as an effort to reduce misconceptions that occur in students. This PKM involves a team of resource persons from the S1 chemistry education study program, FMIPA, Surabaya State University with training participants from the MGMP Chemistry team in Mojokerto Regency and City. The methods of this activity are: 1) conveying the conceptual change model using lecture, discussion, question and answer, and workshop methods, 2) assignment method (continued workshop) to be completed within a period of one month (2-4 weeks), and 3) discussing or reflecting on the implementation of PKM. The materials presented consist of: 1) Merdeka Curriculum and its learning tools, 2) core material of conceptual change modules to remediate misconceptions in chemical concepts. Mentoring and progress checking activities were carried out online synchronously via zoom meeting on August 31, 2024. The results of this training can improve the competence of teachers participating in the PKM training with success indicators in the form of conceptual change module products for chemical concepts that were successfully collected until the end of September 2024. Some of these modules include the material on colligative properties of solutions, reaction rates, covalent bonds, chemical bonds, acids, bases and fatty acids. Based on the final product, it can be concluded that training activities can improve the competence of teachers even though the participation value is still low at 46.15% of participants who compiled the conceptual change module. This activity also received a positive response with 84.60% of participants stating that the conceptual change model training was very useful from all training participants. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kelayakan LKPD berorientasi induktif untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi termokimia. Maksud dari analisis ini adalah untuk memaparkan kelayakan LKPD yang dikembangkan diperiksa dari validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Metode analisis menggunakan rancangan research and development (R&D) melalui tahapan pengembangan dan validasi LKPD. Uji coba dilakukan secara terbatas untuk mendapatkan data empiris kepraktisan dilakukan di salah satu SMAN di Surabaya dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design pada 7 peserta didik kelas XI MIA yang dipilih secara acak. Instrumen penelitian yang dipakai yaitu lembar telaah, lembar kevalidan, lembar tes, lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa, dan angket respon siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan LKPD materi termokimia berorientasi model induktif untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis yang memadai serta dipakai dengan memenuhi kategori valid dengan persentase 82,1275%, efektif dengan N-Gain yang diperoleh antara 0,7-1,0, dan kepraktisan dengan persentase ? 61% mendapatkan respon positif.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kreatif merupakan salah satu keterampilan kognitif penting bagi peserta didik dalam menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran, khususnya dalam menganalisis dan memecahkan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji kelayakan Lembar Aktivitas Peserta Didik (LAPD) berbasis strategi mind mapping dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik pada materi stoikiometri. Kelayakan LAPD ditinjau dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Pengembangan LAPD menggunakan model 4D, dengan tahapan Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. LAPD terdiri atas tiga bagian utama: LAPD 1 membahas tata nama senyawa, rumus kimia, dan konsep Ar-Mr; LAPD 2 membahas hukum dasar kimia dan konsep mol; serta LAPD 3 memuat materi persamaan reaksi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan skor modus sebesar 4, mengindikasikan bahwa LAPD memenuhi kriteria kevalidan. Kepraktisan diukur melalui angket dan observasi aktivitas peserta didik. Hasil angket menunjukkan respon positif sebesar ≥ 61% pada setiap item, dan observasi mencatat aktivitas relevan peserta didik mencapai rata-rata 91% selama tiga pertemuan. Keefektifan diukur melalui analisis N-gain, dengan seluruh peserta uji memperoleh skor ≥ 0,7 yang tergolong kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, LAPD berbasis mind mapping dinyatakan layak dan efektif digunakan sebagai media alternatif pembelajaran stoikiometri untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik, dengan hasil peningkatan tertinggi pada aspek fluency dan originality diikuti aspek elaboration dan flexibility.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendiskripsikan kelayakan LKPD materi koloid untuk melatihkan keterampilan literasi sains. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D (Research and Development) yang terdiri dari 3 tahap utama yaitu studi pendahuluan, merencanakan penelitian dan pengembangan. Tahap studi pendahuluan mulai dari identifikasi masalah dilanjutkan pengumpulan data. Tahap perencanaan dilakukan pencarian data sebagai bahan untuk desain produk Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik. Tahap pengembangan terdiri atas desain produk, telaah, revisi, validasi dan uji coba terbatas. Kelayakan LKPD ditinjau dari aspek validitas, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Kelayakan LKPD ditinjau dari aspek validitas mendapatkan hasil penilaian validator sebesar 87,61% dengan interpretasi sangat valid. Kelayakan dari aspek kepraktisan berdasarkan respon peserta didik yang memperoleh respon positif sebesar 99,12% dengan interpretasi sangat praktis dan aktivitas peserta didik selama pembelajaran menggunakan LKPD materi koloid untuk melatihkan keterampilan literasi sains diperoleh rata-rata total presentase sebesar 95% dengan interpretasi sangat baik. Kelayakan dari aspek keefektifan ditinjau dari hasil ters keterampilan literasi sains peserta didik mendapatkan nilai gain 0,93 dengan interpretasi tinggi dan ketuntasan peserta didik sebesar 100%.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a suitable SAS to improve students' creative thinking skills. This type of research includes research and development. The development of the model used refers to the 4-D model but is only limited to the stages of determination, design, and development. Trial activities were carried out on 34 students of class XE-3. The feasibility of the developed SAS is guided by validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Validation was carried out by expert validators with scores determined based on the mode value. The results of the study showed the feasibility of the teaching module in terms of content validity and construct validity which obtained modes 4 and 5 in each aspect with valid and very valid categories so that overall the teaching module obtained a mode ≥4 and was declared valid. The results of the practicality analysis were seen from the student response questionnaire and observations of student activities. The percentage of practicality based on the student response questionnaire and student observations was obtained at 92.01% with a very practical category. Meanwhile, the observation results of student activities obtained relevant activities at meeting 1 of 97.62% and meeting 2 97.37%. From the three percentages obtained the percentage of relevant participant activities was increased by 97.5% so that it can be said that the SAS was developed very practically. The results of the analysis of the effectiveness of SAS were measured based on the increase in students' creative thinking skills through the pretest and posttest mind map as well as questions about understanding creative thinking skills on chemical bonding material with N-gain values obtained respectively of 0.73 and 0.72 with a high category. Based on the results of validity, practicality and effectiveness, the mind map strategy teaching module is suitable for use as a learning tool to improve creative thinking skills on atomic and nanotechnology materials.
