Abstract

Masalah dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah pendiktean dengan gambar dapat meningkatkan ketrampilan mendengar siswa dalam bahasa inggris. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh konsep pengajaran bahasa inggris menggunakan gambar – gambar agar siswa lebih nyaman dan tertarik dalam mengikuti kelas listening. Jenis penelitian ini adalah menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subyek penelitian ini terdiri atas 27 siswa pada kelas VIII, SMP 07 ma’arif Perintis Tempurejo tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Data penelitian didapat berdasarkan hasil tes mendengarkan pendiktean kalimat atau informasi oleh guru yang diubah ke dalam bentuk gambar. Data disajikan dalam uraian deskripsi dan statistik untuk melihat peningkatan rata – rata siswa dengan membandingkan nilai rata- rata siswa pada pretes dan post-tes. Berdasarkan pre-tes,  nilai rata- rata dari 27 siswa yakni 52% mendapat nilai > 65 sedangkan pada post-tes 85% dari siswa mendapat nilai > 65. Ini menunjukkan bahwa pendikten gambar dapat meningkatkan ketrampilan mendengar siswa.Kata kunci : Picture dictation, improving, listening comprehension

Abstract

The rapid development of technology today has opened up opportunities for business people to utilize digital-based information systems in increasing product promotion. Aslamiyah Foods is a business that produces processed oyster mushrooms located in Sengkati Baru Village, Mersam District. Aslamiyah Foods faces obstacles in promoting its superior product, namely Aslamiyah Krenyesss Mushrooms. The promotion carried out so far is only by leaving products to several mini markets, participating in exhibitions held by the Batang Hari district government, as well as through whatsapp and instagram social media, but has not yet obtained optimal results. System modeling in this study uses the Unified Modeling Language (UML) including use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams as well as the Prototype method which will be used in the process of designing promotional information systems. The results of this study are in the form of a Promotion Information System Dessign at Aslamiyah Foods, Sengkati Baru Village, Mersam District.

Abstract

Background: Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the dengue virus (DENV) and transmitted by the Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquito vectors. This disease remains a major global health problem, particularly in tropical regions such as Indonesia. Clinical indicators of DHF severity include thrombocytopenia and shock, which are associated with high viremia levels and an increase in dengue NS1 antigen in the vascular system. This study compares immature platelet fraction (IPF) and procalcitonin (PCT) levels as biomarkers of infection severity in relation to DENV NS1 antigen positivity. Methods: This study included 35 patients with DHF and 35 healthy controls. IPF values and PCT levels were measured. Differences between the two groups were analyzed using an independent t-test. Results: p-values for both IPF and PCT were < 0.05, indicating statistically significant differences between DHF patients and healthy controls. These findings suggest that higher IPF values are associated with thrombocytopenia, whereas elevated PCT levels may reflect more severe infection, including dengue shock syndrome. Conclusion: There are significant differences in IPF and PCT levels between DHF patients and controls, depending on dengue NS1 antigen positivity. IPF may serve as an indicator of thrombocytopenia, while PCT may be a marker of infection severity, including dengue shock syndrome, in patients with dengue hemorrhagic fever.
