Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan langsung dan hubungan tidak langsung dari variabel distress terhadap sikap mahasiswa non sains pada matakuliah statistika ketika academic help seeking menjadi mediator. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan survey design. Sampel yang digunakan adalah mahasiswa IAIN Kediri Prodi Psikologi Islam yang sedang menempuh matakuliah Statistika. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumentasi skala dan metode penskalaan berbentuk Likert summated rating. Analisa data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling berbantuan software SmartPLS. Berdasarkan output SmartPLS menunjukkan bahwa distress berhubungan negatif dengan sikap mahasiswa non-sains terhadap matakuliah statistika. Hal ini terjadi lantaran teridentifikasinya variabel academic help-seeking sebagai self-regulation atau mekanisme adaptif yang ditunjukkan oleh subyek penelitian ketika mengalami distress saat mempelajari matakuliah statistika. Tingginya academic help-seeking menjadi mediator sehingga didapatkan mekanisme pembentukan sikap yang positif terhadap matakuliah statistika. The aim of this research is to determine the direct and indirect relationship of the distress variable to the attitudes of non-science students in statistics when academic help seeking is the mediator. This research is quantitative research with survey design. The sample used was IAIN Kediri Islamic Psychology Study Program studentswho taking the Statistics course. The data collection technique uses scale instrumentation and a scaling method in the form of a likert summated rating. Data analysis uses Structural Equation Modeling assisted by SmartPLS software. Based on the SmartPLS output, it shows that distress is negatively related to non-science students’ attitudes towards statistics course. This happened because the academic help seeking variabel was identified as a self-regulation or adaptive mechanism demonstrated by research subjects when experiencing distress while studying statistics courses. The high level of academic help seeking becomes a mediator so thaht a mechanism for forming a positive attitude towards statistics courses is obtained.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan apakah academic help-seeking dapat menjadi faktor mitigasi atau memediasi antara sikap terhadap statisika dan distress, dalam konteks kapasitas belajar (faktor non-kognitif) pada mahasiswa ilmu sosial di perguruan tinggi. Menggunakan teori keseimbangan disonansi dari Cooper & Smith (2001), penelitian ini akan menjelaskan bagaimana academic help-seeking sebagai variabel mediator atau yang dapat memitigasi dinamika hubungan antara sikap terhadap statistika dengan distress. Survey dilakukan yang berisi instrument dan serangkaian analisa psikometri (analisis faktor: validitas dan reliabilitas) untuk mahasiswa psikologi yang mengambil mata kuliah statistika tahun akademik ganjil 2023/2024. Menggunakan structural equaiton modeling (SEM), hubungan antara sikap terhadap statistika dengan distress; dan apakah tingkat academic help-seeking menjadi mediator. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara sikap terhadap statisik dengan distress. Academic help-seeking dinyatakan memediasi antara sikap terhadap statistika dengan distress, artinya hubungan negatif yang signifikan dengan academic help-seeking dan hubungan negatif signifikan antara academic help-seeking dengan distress. Implikasi dari penelitian ini bagi program studi dan dosen, pentingya tingkat academic help-seeking mahasiswa sebagai strategi coping untuk melawan distress ketika mempelajari mata kuliah satatistika atau mata kuliah lainnya. Ini dapat mempersiapkan mahasiswa mencapai kesuksesan akademik.   Kata Kunci: Sikap, Academic help-seeking, distress, mediator, Structural equation Modeling (SEM).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berbasis HOTS berpengaruh pada kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas VIII MTsN 3 Nganjuk. Penelitian ini, eksperimen semu dilakukan dengan menggunakan rancangan posttest only control group design. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP), Lembar Kegiatan Siswa (LAS), lembar observasi, dan soal tes penalaran matematis yang dikembangkan berdasarkan indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis dengan kategori C4, C5 dan C6 berdasarkan Bloom’s Taxonomy. Sebelum diterapkan, semua instrumen divalidasi oleh ahli untuk selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan menggunakan kategori validitas. Instrumen yang telah divalidasi diterapkan di kelas VIII-I sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII-J sebagai kelas kontrol berdasarkan teknik pemilihan sample simple random sampling. Menurut hasil penelitian, kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa di kelas eksperimen memperoleh kategori sangat tinggi pada indikator mengajukan sebuah dugaan dan menemukan pola berdasarkan masalah yang diberikan. Sedangkan pada indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis lainnya memperoleh kategori tinggi. Secara deskriptif, skor posttest siswa di kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan skor posttest siswa di kelas kontrol. Hal ini diperkuat melalui hasil analisis data menggunakan uji t-independent sample yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata penalaran matematis siswa antara yang menggunakan model PBL berbasis HOTS dengan model konvensional. Berdasarkan uji t-one sampel dapat diketahui bahwa model PBL berbasis HOTS efektif terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Model pembelajaran PBL berbasis HOTS ini dapat diterapkan oleh pendidik untuk melatih kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS ataupun sebagai ide kreatif dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan setting model PBL. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran, Problem Based Learning, HOTS, Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis. ABSTRACT This study aims to determine whether HOTS Problem Based Learning has an effect on class VIII MTsN 3 Nganjuk's mathematical reasoning skills. Use of a quasi-experimental design with a posttest-only control group was made. Research instruments consisted of Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), Student Activity Sheets (LAS), observation sheets, and mathematical reasoning test questions which were developed based on mathematical reasoning indicators ability with categories C4, C5, and C6 based on Bloom’s Taxonomy. Before being applied, all instruments were validated by experts for further analysis. Validated instruments were applied to VIII-I class as experimental class and VIII-J as control class based on the simple random sampling technique. The findings demonstrate that students' capacity for mathematical thinking in the experimental class obtained a very high category on the indicator of making an assumption and finding patterns based on the given problems. Meanwhile, the others mathematical reasoning abilities indicator are in the high category. Descriptively, the experimental class students' posttest scores outperformed those of the control class students. This is reinforced through the results of data analysis using independent sample t-test which shows that there is a difference in the average mathematical reasoning abilities in both classes. Based on one sample t-test, HOTS-PBL model is effective on students’ mathematical reasoning abilities. This HOTS-PBL model can be applied by teachers to enhance students’ mathematical reasoning abilities and students’ abilities in solving HOTS question or as creative ideas in implementing learning by setting PBL model. Abstract

Mathematics learning outcomes are optimal when an individual reaches a level of achievement that aligns with their potential and abilities. The factors that influence student learning outcomes come from two main aspects: external factors and internal factors. External factors include the influence of family, school, and the community environment, while internal factors encompass psychological dimensions, physical conditions, and the student's level of fatigue. This research analyzes the factors influencing mathematics learning outcomes through the internal locus of control as a mediator. The type of research is a survey with a quantitative approach. The research location was carried out at SMAN 2 Kediri City. The population of this study were all class XI students of SMAN 2 Kediri City. The sampling technique is simple random sampling, with a sample size of 100 SMAN 2 Kediri City students. Data collection techniques use family socioeconomic status questionnaires, psychological distress questionnaires, internal locus of control questionnaires, and third-semester student report cards. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics. The research results show that (1) family socioeconomic status influences mathematics learning outcomes, (2) psychological distress influences mathematics learning outcomes, (3) internal locus of control influences mathematics learning outcomes, (4) internal locus of control cannot mediate between family socioeconomic status and mathematics learning outcomes, (5) internal locus of control can mediate between psychological distress and mathematics learning outcomes, and (6) the model in the research is acceptable.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether mathematics anxiety affects mathematical abstract ability, with self-concept acting as a mediator variable. The research type is survey research with a quantitative approach. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri Kandat. The population of this research consists of all 12th-grade students at SMA Negeri Kandat. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling, with a sample size of 100 students from the 12th grade of SMA Negeri Kandat. Data collection techniques included test methods involving the administration of mathematical abstraction ability tests and non-test methods using a mathematics anxiety scale. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, which comprised prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing. The data collection procedure began with administering the mathematics anxiety and self-concept scales to the research sample. The next stage involved conducting mathematical abstraction ability tests on the research sample. The results of the study indicate that (1) mathematics anxiety among 12th-grade students at SMA Negeri Kandat affects students’ mathematical abstraction ability by 30.6%, (2) there is an influence of mathematics anxiety on students’ self-concept by 25.5%, (3) there is no influence of self-concept on student’s mathematical abstraction ability by 37%, and (4) self-concept can serve as a mediator variable between mathematics anxiety and student’s mathematical abstraction ability. These findings were obtained based on questionnaires and mathematical abstraction ability tests conducted with the students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis dan menguji hipotesis tentang kecenderungan mahasiswa Tadris Matematika dalam memilih aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis e-learning berdasarkan minat belajarnya. Hipotesis yang diuji dalam penelitian ini adalah: H0 = Pilihan mahasiswa saat memilih aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis e-learning sama, Ha= Pilihan mahasiswa saat memilih aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis e-learning berbeda. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa matematika Tadris dengan sampel yang dipilih secara acak. Alat penelitian yang digunakan adalah Isi kuesioner dari Google Form. Survey tersebut memiliki beberapa pilihan media aplikasi e-learning seperti Edmodo, Google Classroom, e-learning IAIN Kediri, dan Quiziz. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik, uji chi-square dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Akibatnya, siswa matematika Tadris cenderung memilih media aplikasi Google Classroom sesuai dengan minat belajarnya. Hal ini dinilai Google Classroom sebagai media aplikasi berbasis e-learning yang efisien karena fitur-fiturnya yang sangat lengkap dan mudah digunakan. Disamping itu juga dilengkapi basis data yang rapi dan jelas.
