Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan depresi ditinjau dari latar belakang penyebab kecacatan pada penyandang tuna daksa di BBRSBD Surakarta. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah ada perbedaan tingkat depresi antara penyandang tuna daksa akibat kecelakaan lebih tinggi dibanding tingkat depresi penyandang tuna daksa bawaan lahir. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif komparasi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah  tuna daksa di BBRSBD berjumlah 128 tuna daksa. Teknik pengambilan sampel  menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini bejumlah 80 tuna daksa. Penyandang tuna daksa bawaan lahir berjumlah 40 orang dan penyandang tuna daksa akibat kecelakaan berjumlah 40 orang. Uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan independent sample t-test. Hasil ini menunjukan terdapat perbedaan tingkat depresi antara penyandang tuna daksa akibat kecelakaan lebih tinggi dibanding penyandang tuna daksa bawaan lahir.Kata kunci : bawaan lahir, depresi, tuna daksa

Abstract

Abnormal behavior in adolescents can negatively impact their psychological and social development. Therefore, the active role of peer counselors is needed in identifying and providing appropriate support. This community service activity aims to improve the competence of peer counselors through 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) technique training. The training method involves an interactive approach in the form of discussions, case simulations, and skill evaluations of participants. The results of the activity showed an increase in the understanding and skills of peer counselors in recognizing and handling abnormal behavior in their environment. Thus, this training is expected to contribute to the creation of a more supportive environment for adolescents in dealing with their psychological and social problems

Abstract

Kesehatan mental merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan remaja, khususnya siswa SMP yang berada dalam masa transisi emosional dan sosial. Permasalahan bullying menjadi salah satu pemicu rendahnya rasa percaya diri siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini melibatkan 60 siswa dari tiga kelas di SMP Negeri 4 Halmahera Tengah dan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa mengenai pentingnya menjaga kesehatan mental serta meningkatkan rasa percaya diri melalui psikoedukasi dan kegiatan presentasi yang dilengkapi dengan pemberian reward. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan observasi partisipatif, wawancara terbuka, dan dokumentasi kegiatan. Data dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep kesehatan mental, keberanian tampil di depan umum, dan kesadaran akan pentingnya menghargai diri sendiri serta orang lain. Psikoedukasi terbukti efektif sebagai upaya preventif dalam menjaga keseimbangan psikologis siswa dan mengurangi dampak bullying.

Abstract

Adolescence is a critical developmental stage marked by intense biological, social, and emotional changes. One of the major challenges faced by adolescents is managing their emotions in a healthy way. Poor emotional regulation can lead to negative outcomes such as aggression, anxiety, and delinquent behavior. This community service activity aimed to provide education and training on emotional regulation to students at SMK Negeri 4 Surakarta through theoretical explanations and practical methods, including breathing techniques and the butterfly hug. The program was carried out in three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation, using interactive presentations and hands-on exercises. The results showed an improvement in students’ understanding of the importance of emotional regulation and their ability to identify, manage, and express emotions adaptively. Post-activity evaluation indicated increased emotional awareness and the application of self-regulation strategies in handling academic and social pressures. This activity demonstrates that emotional regulation training is effective in helping adolescents build positive emotional skills that support psychological well-being and long-term success.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of developing the religious character of students at Karangdukuh Elementary School through the habitual recitation of the Asmaul Husna (The Beautiful Names of Allah). Asmaul Husna is a phrase containing good and noble qualities. The recitation of Asmaul Husna is performed every morning before the start of teaching and learning activities in the school. This activity aims to instill the good qualities of Asmaul Husna in students' personalities. This program of habitual daily recitation of Asmaul Husna is expected to foster good qualities in students, as embodied in the content of the Asmaul Husna. This study used a qualitative approach and ethnographic methods. There were three respondents in this study. Data collection was conducted through observation and interviews. This study shows that the habitual recitation of Asmaul Husna before teaching and learning activities can improve students' religious character. This improvement in religious character is evident in students' habits of being more polite, respectful of teachers, diligent in prayer, loving, and maintaining cleanliness.

Abstract

The Surakarta City Government, through its counseling psychologist program at community health centers (Puskesmas), provides residents with easier access to quality mental health support. In line with this initiative, this community service activity aims to optimize the service by providing intensive individual counseling sessions once a month. Based on field observations, various psychosocial issues affecting the well-being of residents across all age groups—from children and adolescents to adults and the elderly—were identified. These issues range from anxiety disorders and family conflicts impacting household stability to educational challenges, school bullying, and loneliness experienced by the elderly. To address these conditions, this counseling service provides a safe and private space for residents to professionally share their mental burdens and current challenges. Furthermore, the psychologist offers practical advice on emotional management to help residents regain their spirit, mental resilience, and more harmonious family relationships. The results demonstrate that despite the limited duration, the presence of psychological services at the Puskesmas is highly effective in helping residents feel relieved and empowered. Consequently, this program represents a significant step toward supporting community well-being, strengthening family resilience, and ensuring the educational success of the younger generation.
