Abstract

Procrastination in completing academic tasks is common to most students, including in the work of the thesis. One of the factors that cause students to delay completing the thesis is the ability to manage their emotions (emotion regulation). Karem training based on the theory of emotional regulation is expected to decrease the tendency of academic procrastination behavior in the students. This study aims to examine the effect of Karem training on academic procrastination in psychology faculty students of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. This study used Nonrandomized Control Group Pretest-Posttest experiment Design. The participants were final year students with a period of more than 10 semesters or 5 years and has taken a thesis course more than 2 semesters or 1 year. The results of this study indicate that Karem training has a significant effect on the decrease of procrastination in the final grade students who are completing the thesis.

Abstract

Mental health is one of the central issues at this time. The importance of every individual, especially adolescents, having mental health is important because adolescents are the successors of the nation who must be resilient in facing all conditions. The purpose of this service is to add insight and a starting point for implementing for new students in preparing a tough mentality in the transition period to become a student. Problems New students are required to be able to adapt quickly. However, it turns out that in the age of freshmen entering the age of late adolescence or early adulthood has problems related to anxiety, so it is not uncommon at that age that teenagers experience an emotional crisis / Quarter-life Crisis. These problems are what hinder teenagers from starting a new life as students in Higher Education. Abstract

Kegiatan parenting ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada orang tua di Desa Kwadungan khususnya Dusun Gesangan terkait pentingnya pola pengasuhan anak pasca pandemi covid-19 dan meningkatkan pemahaman orang tua mengenai pola asuh yang tepat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, dan diskusi. Materi yang disampaikan yaitu berkaitan dengan positif parenting dalam pembentukan karakter anak, pola pengasuhan anak, serta pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Masyarakat menyambut dengan penuh antusias dalam kegiatan ini. Setelah mengikuti penyuluhan ini, para orang tua menyadari bahwa pola pengasuhan mereka selama ini kurang tepat untuk pembentukan karakter anak-anak mereka. Oleh karena itu, positif parenting menjadi upaya yang tepat sebagai salah satu intervensi dalam pola pegasuhan anak.. Kata kunci : positif parenting, karakter anak, pola asuh

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how insecure young people feel when making career decisions. Adolescents experience confusion, or anxiety, when making career development decisions. Fear of what hasn't happened yet, fear of failure, and lack of support from the environment. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. The subjects of this study were late adolescents, with a total of 3 respondents aged 17 to 19. Direct observation and interview techniques were used as data collection techniques in this study. The study found that young people surveyed reported feeling anxious when contemplating career decisions. This was due to worrying about things that hadn't happened yet, fear of failure before trying, lack of self-confidence, and lack of parental and community support. Research results on adolescents' anxiety during career decision-making have shown that adolescents' anxiety has a significant impact on their ability to make decisions. Therefore, the lower an adolescent's anxiety, the better he/she will be in decision making.

Abstract

Psychological well-being is a condition that is expected by everyone in their life. Good psychological well-being can be seen from sufferers' ability in daily life with various rules related to their illness, such as daily medication use and food restrictions. Stroke patients with good psychological well-being can also overcome their illness because they can accept and get used to the stroke without complaining about their conditions. The study aims to find out the description of the psychological well-being of stroke patients, especially at the Ar-Rohman clinic. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The results show that the psychological well-being of seven stroke patients at the Ar-Rohman clinic was not good because based on the six aspects of psychological well-being, there were not seen in the informants. Informants have dominant psychological well-being in the aspects of life goals and personal growth so that they become more hopeful.

Abstract

Character education is very close to the word moral improvement. Character education is very important to be taught and instilled from an early age so that it is easy to teach moral meanings and morals to children. The formation of children's character can be done by instilling character values ​​consistently both when children are in the family environment, school environment, and community environment. This study aims to provide an overview to parents of students on the inculcation of moral character in their children. The method used in this study is a qualitative method and data collection by interviewing 5 informants. The results of this study are that all parents have carried out character education in educating their children to become children with good character, such as responsibility or discipline, communicative and confident.

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling Guidelines on Primary and Secondary Education issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia in 2016 is one of the main modules of the implementation of guidance and counseling in Indonesia which is full of various studies. This paper aims to find out what indicators of the implementation of counseling guidance and the implementation of counseling guidance is in line with those indicators. The research conducted is normative or literatures studies research.  The results of the analysis showed 4 (four) indicators in guidance and counseling services: first, through characteristics; second, through the interrelationship of developmental tasks and standards of self-reliance competencies, which focus on the suitability of levels and developmental tasks; third, through both test and non-test techniques; and fourth, through the utilization of assessment data as an evaluation material for students. In its implementation, guidance and counseling services focus on developments that are in line with the characteristics and duties of learners.

Abstract

Students who have good ability to interact tend to be able to adjust to new environments and are comfortable in class. In contrast to students who experience problems in interacting, they tend to have difficulty in adapting so that feelings of pressure arise when in class. As a result, when in group activities or discussions, students tend to be passive, afraid to express their opinions, become quiet when in class, and prefer to do tasks individually. The informants in this study were nine grade X students and one counseling teacher at SMA Negeri Gondangrejo. In this study, researchers used interviews in the form of Focus Group Discussion (FGD), observation and documentation in data collection. The conclusion that can be drawn is that there are two different perspectives related to the phenomenon raised by the researcher. The first is the perspective of informants who have good proximity or ability to interact with their peers. The second is the perspective of informants who have difficulty interacting with their peers.

Abstract

This research faced challenges in incorporating web design skills into the curriculum of SMK Istiqomah Muhammadiyah 4 Samarinda with limited resources. Through the prototype method and the Figma platform, PKL projects are used to teach students about website development. The aim is to provide relevant skills to the technology and graphic design industries. The steps include requirements analysis, prototyping, user evaluation, and user interface design for the company profile. The result is expected to be a web application that is informative, interesting, and in accordance with the needs of the vocational school Abstract.This research aims to implement collaborative games as a strategy to control social emotional development in school-aged children at SDN 1 Kartasura. School-aged children have diverse emotional characteristics, and social-emotional development is very important to shape children's personality and independence. Collaborative games were chosen as a method to stimulate children's social abilities through group activities. The initial stage of this research includes understanding the potential and challenges of social emotional development in school-aged children. Furthermore, a collaborative game was designed and implemented on September 9 2023, involving 25 grade 4 students at SDN 1 Kartasura. This activity includes game sessions, observations of social interactions, and evaluation of activity results which show that the implementation of collaborative games has a positive impact on students' social emotional development. However, research also identifies several obstacles, such as some students who still experience difficulties in socializing and controlling emotions. Therefore, further efforts are needed to maximize the potential of collaborative play in improving children's social emotional development. In conclusion, implementing collaborative games can be an effective approach to creating a positive learning environment and improving students' social emotional development at SDN 1 Kartasura. This research contributes to the understanding of social emotional development strategies in school-aged children through collaborative play.
