Abstract

The purpose of this study is to solve multi-criteria problems using the ε-constraint method with the help of an excel solver. The multi-criteria optimization problem is an optimization problem that has more than one objective function. A multi-criteria optimization problem can be said to be a multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) if there is more than one thing that must be considered in the model as a goal or criterion. In general, the weighting method and the ε-constraint method are the most widely used. The weighting method converts a set of options into options by multiplying each option by the inventory weight. On the other hand, the ε-constraint method only saves one of the existing goals and limits the goals with a certain number of values to get an efficient limit.

Abstract

Red ginger (Zingiber officinale var. rubrum) with a high content of phenols (e.g. gingerol, shogaol, etc.) has potential effects against throat inflammation such as cold, sore throat, tonsilitis, etc. This research aims to determine the formulation of lozenge tablets using red ginger extracts. Lozenges tablets are made from dry ginger extract using a wet granulation method prepared by various concentrations of pregelatinized cassava starch 1 % w/v (F0); 2 % w/v (F1) and 5 % w/v (F2) as a binder and HPMC 2 % w/v (F3) as a comparative binder. Red ginger extract was prepared by maceration method using 96% ethanol solvent which is then evaporated using a rotary evaporator to obtain a thick extract. Thick red ginger extract is formulated into lozenges with various formulations F0, F1, F2, and F3. Physical characteristics evaluation of lozenge tablets includes physical appearance, weight uniformity, hardness, and disintegration time. The physical appearance of the tablet is round in shape and bright yellow in color. Based on the evaluation of all the formulas made, F2 has good criteria as a red ginger extract lozenge which has a hardness of 6 kg and disintegration time of 5 minutes 4 seconds.

Abstract

Palm oil mill effluent can pollute the environment and endanger human health. Test parameters that can indicate the quality of palm oil mill effluent are pH, Chemical Oxygen Demand, and Total Suspended Solid. The purpose of this study is to determine the pH using pH meter, COD and TSS values using spektrofotometer UV – Vis in each palm oil mill effluent pond before discharging into the river so as not to pollute the environment. The results of three weeks of testing showed that the pH value of the palm oil mill effluent pond tended to increase from the fat fit pond to the outlet of pond V while the COD and TSS values tended to decrease from the fat fit pond to the outlet of pond V. The pH value of the waste discharged into the river is in the range of 6-9, the COD value is below 350 mg/L and TSS is below 250 mg/L. The results obtained are in accordance with the regulation of the Minister of Environment Number 5 of 2014.  The resulting palm oil mill effluent is safe to be discharged into the river.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan tentang Teknik pemanfaatan media online sebagai sarana pemasaran hasil produksi di IKM T,A Rezeki Kelurahan Simpang Selayang Kecamatan Medan Tuntungan Kota Medan dengan harapan dapat memperluas area pemasaran yang akan memberikan imbas terhadap peningkatan omset. Adapun masalah yang dimiliki oleh mitra adalah kurangnya kemampuan serta pengelolaan manajemen usaha mitra masih terbatas, terutama dalam memperkenalkan produk unggulannya ke khalayak sasaran pasar mereka yang lebih luas lagi melalui kegiatan promosi yang tepat sasaran baik secara offline maupun online Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kontektual yaitu memberikan materi teori terlebih dahulu dan dilanjutkan dengan workshop langsung mengunggah produk-produk yang dihasilkan oleh IKM T.A Rezeki yang merupakan pelaku usaha. Lalu dilanjutkan dengan metode pengarahan teknik pemasaran online dan pendampingan usaha. Metode ini langsung dipraktikkan oleh instruktur dengan mitra agar mitra dapat langsung memahami aplikasi-aplikasi marketplace dan pendampingan dalam pengembangan pengetahuan dan kemampuan untuk mengakses marketplace secara online, serta memfasilitasi kegiatan promosi melalui media online (e-commerce dan social media). Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta pengabdian sangat tertarik mengikuti pelatihan- pelatihan semacam ini karena sangat merasa terbantu dalam memanfaatkan media online sebagai sarana pemasaran hasil produksi yang sudah berkembang pesat dewasa ini. Adanya optimalisasi kinerja melalui peningkatan daya kreativitas dan inovasi SDM, yaitu melalui pemahaman konsep startegi pemasaran, terutama melalui kemampuan pemasaran online, sehingga mitra mampu memperkenalkan produk usaha lebih luas lagi dan menciptakan sebuah destination branding melalui media online.
