Abstract

School management automation through Management Information Systems (MIS) is the application of technology to automate, integrate and optimise administrative and academic processes within the school environment. The research method used in this study was literature research. The results show that cost challenges are often the biggest barrier, with budget restrictions making it difficult for some educational institutions to support the initial investment and ongoing operational costs of SIM. Solutions include finding alternative funding models, partnering with technology companies, and adopting cloud-based solutions to reduce infrastructure costs. Regarding user resistance, it was found that effective training programmes and awareness campaigns on the benefits of SIM can minimise the discomfort of adapting to new technology. Finally, in the area of data security, the findings emphasise the importance of security audits, user training, and compliance with data protection regulations to maintain the integrity and privacy of institutional data. This research demonstrates that although challenges exist, with the right strategies, SIM implementation can optimise school management functions and enrich the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of the flipped classroom model on student engagement and academic achievement through a systematic literature review. The flipped classroom model, which requires students to study materials independently outside of class and use class time for interactive activities, has become a much- discussed pedagogical innovation. Through the analysis of various relevant studies, the findings of this research show that flipped classroom significantly increases students' engagement in the learning process and has a positive impact on their academic achievement. Students feel more motivated and prepared to join class discussions, understand the material more deeply, and show improvements in academic outcomes. This conclusion highlights the importance of implementing the flipped classroom model as an effective strategy in improving education quality and student learning performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study focuses on analyzing the influence of e-wallet usage, per capita income, and interest rates on the purchasing power of Indonesians in the 2020–2024 period from an Islamic Economics perspective. This finding uses a quantitative approach based on time series data obtained from official publications of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and Bank Indonesia. The multiple linear regression method was used in this analysis and processed using E-Views 13 software. The research findings indicate that e-wallet usage has no significant influence on purchasing power, while per capita income has a positive and significant influence, while interest rates are known to have no significant effect on purchasing power. Thus, this finding confirms that income is the main determinant of people's purchasing power. In line with these findings, increasing purchasing power needs to be directed not only at quantitative aspects, but also at the quality of consumption behavior. From an Islamic Economics perspective, consumption must be carried out proportionally, avoiding israf, and ensuring that income and transactions are carried out in accordance with sharia principles.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the increasing participation of women in the vulnerable informal sector, particularly as sugarcane cutters at the Bunga Mayang Sugar Factory in Bunga Mayang Subdistrict, North Lampung Regency. Despite facing harsh working conditions, relatively low wages, and a lack of social protection, women continue to play a vital role as the primary breadwinners for their households. This study aims to analyze the socioeconomic dynamics of female laborers, the construction of social capital that emerges, the ambivalence of social capital in labor relations, and its implications for household well-being from an Islamic economic perspective. The approach used is a phenomenological qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of 11 informants selected through purposive sampling based on specific criteria, such as dual roles, family dependents, and at least one year of work experience. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of open coding, axial coding, selective coding, and phenomenological interpretation until data saturation was achieved. The results of the study indicate that female laborers build strong social capital based on trust, solidarity, and social networks (bonding social capital). This social capital functions as an informal social protection mechanism through practices of mutual aid, resource sharing, and emotional support that contribute to the economic resilience of households. However, there is also ambivalence in social capital, particularly in relations with foremen, where these social networks simultaneously create structural dependencies that can weaken workers’ bargaining power. From the perspective of Islamic economics, the socio-economic practices carried out by female day laborers reflect the values of ta’āwun (mutual aid), ‘adl (justice), ukhuwah (brotherhood), and the pursuit of halal livelihood. These findings enrich the study of social capital by integrating phenomenological and maqāṣid al-syarī’ah approaches, and affirm that household well-being is not determined solely by economic capital, but also by social capital as a non-material asset that plays a strategic role in the context of the informal sector.
