Abstract

ABSTRAK Terebang sejak merupakan kesenian tradisional yang masih dipertahankan oleh masyarakat adat Kampung Naga. Dalam permainannya kesenian terbang sejak masih menggunakan alat tradisional, kesenian ini merupakan salah satu sarana hiburan untuk masyarakat Kampung Naga, yang ditampilkan pada acara hajat sasih, memperingati hari besar Islam, syukuran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai keraifan lokal kesenian terebang sejak sebagai pembentuk karakteristik masyarakat yang ada di Kampung Naga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kesenian terebang sejak tidak hanya menjadi hiburan semata, tetapi juga mengandung nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang berperan penting dalam membentuk karakteristik masyarakat Kampung Naga. Melalui kegiatan ini, nilai-nilai seperti rasa syukur kebersamaan, keteladanan, dan kelestarian alam diwariskan dan dipraktikan secara berkesinambungan. Pelestarian kesenian terebang sejak menjadi langkah yang tepat dalam menjaga kearifan lokal serta menjaga identitas budaya yang khas dari masyarakat Kampung Naga. Abstract

ABSTRAK Tanji merupakan kesenian khas Jawa Barat yang merupakan versi pentatonik dari kesenian Tanjidor. Walaupun memiliki nama yang hampir sama dengan kesenian Tanjidor, tetapi musik Tanji ini memiliki sejarah yang berbeda dengan Tanjidor, musik tanji lahir dan berkembang pada abad pertengahan sekitar dekade 1960-an di daerah Bojongloa, Buahdua, Sumedang. Musik tanji merupakan musik pengiring untuk kesenian bangreng, dasar pemikiran yang melatar belakangi masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana struktur penyajian musik tanji dari grup sari endah serta upaya pelestarian yang dilakukan oleh grup sari endah. Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana struktur penyajian musik tanji yang dibawakan grup Sari Endah dalam kesenian bangreng? Bagaimana upaya pelestarian grup Sari Endah untuk menjaga eksistensinya hingga sekarang?. Tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan struktur penyajian musik Tanji dan upaya pelestarian yang dilakukan oleh grup sri endah. Kajian teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teori strukur dan , penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis yaitu peneliti berusaha memaparkan semua hasil penelitian yang ada di lapangan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dokumentasi, dan teknik analisis data. Struktur penyajian musik grup sari endah memiliki tiga bagan dalam pertunjukannya. Grup Sari Endah memiliki dua buah lagu wajib yang biasa dibawakan oleh grup Sari Endah Kata kunci : Struktur Penyajian, Musik Tanji, Sari Endah, Bangreng

Abstract

Kesenian Beluk merupakan kesenian tradisional yang berasal dari Jawa Barat. Beluk merupakan seni vokal tanpa instrumen masyarakat Sunda yang memiliki ciri khas suara yang unik karena dalam lantunan suaranya melengking dan meliuk-liuk sehingga dalam lantunannya memiliki nada yang tinggi sekitar 7-9 oktaf. Pada awalnya Beluk ini diperuntukan sebagai media komunikasi sekaligus media hiburan masyarakat saat ketika saat berladang, namun dengan seiring perkembangan zaman seni Beluk kini dipertunjukan di kalangan masyarakat umum untuk mengisi acara-acara tertentu dengan fungsi sebagai media hiburan khususnya di Kampung Cirangkong Desa Cikeusal Kecamatan Tanjungjaya Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini secara spesifik meneliti kesenian Beluk di Grup Candralijaya dengan tujuan untuk mendeskipsikan bagaimana bentuk dan struktur kesenian Beluk. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif yaitu dengan mengumpulkan beberapa hasil yang dilakukan dengan beberapa teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, studi pustaka, dokumentasi, dan teknik analisis data. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini adalah Bentuk dan Struktur pertunjukan kesenian Beluk grup Candralijaya ini memiliki tiga bagian dalam pertunjukannya yaitu bagian pembuka, bagian isi dan bagian penutup.

Abstract

"Rintihan Rindu" is a conventional vocal composition that uses the human voice as its primary medium without musical instruments or lyrics. Using only one word, "haaa", this composition explores the expressive power of nonverbal vocals. To create a contemplative feel, emphasis is placed on the formation of four-voice harmony, ABA-shaped musical structure, A major tonality, and 6/4 meter. The creation is based on the composer's personal experience and reflection on the idea of simplicity, serenity, and the power of the human voice as an emotional instrument. This work demonstrates that the human voice can be a meaningful medium for conveying emotions without relying on text or musical instruments, and that the human voice can serve as an artistic alternative for the development of vocal compositions in an academic environment.

Abstract

The process of creating a contemporary musical work "Komposisi Batuk dalam Hening" is discussed in this article. The main sound of the musical composition of this work is considered to be the sound of coughing, which has many values ​​of expression, symbolism, and social criticism. The sound of coughing, which is usually considered a physical symptom or disorder, is elevated into an artistic element that is able to convey emotional nuances, tension, and inner silence of humans through an experimental approach and vocal exploration techniques. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, which includes the phases of observation, sound recording, structural exploration, and artistic reflection. The results show that coughing can be a powerful and evocative means of expression if used in the right context and with careful musical arrangement. This work functions as a form of resistance to the limitations of conventional music while emphasizing the relationship between body, voice, and social consciousness in a world that is often too noisy to hear small things.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the possibility of using sounds produced from traditional Indonesian games, namely bola bekel and shells, as the main material in the creation of modern musical works. With an exploratory and experimental approach, this work combines elements of children's play and the richness of the coastal environment as part of the acoustics and story. The creation process includes sound experiments through reflections, tapping, and friction on these objects with various media, while processing the symbolic and cultural values contained. The end result is music that not only provides a special listening experience, but also serves as a means of preserving regional culture and educating artists. It is hoped that this work will inspire the emergence of new forms of composition that focus on exploring everyday objects and traditional values.

Abstract

Suara Sang Dhomir is a contemporary musical exploration that elevates the recitation of isim dhomir a grammatical element in Arabic commonly practiced in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), as the primary source of sonic material. Traditionally viewed as a routine linguistic exercise, these recitations are transformed into a vocal composition lasting 5–7 minutes, without the use of musical instruments or conventional tonal systems. The creation process employs an experimental approach through techniques such as vocal layering, digital manipulation (including time-stretching and pitch-shifting), as well as the deliberate use of silence and pauses as both dramatic and spiritual elements. The composition is built on a layered human vocal structure, producing a listening experience that is reflective, contemplative, and emotionally resonant. This work offers a new discourse in tradition-based contemporary music, while also critiquing the academic formalism often found in religious musical interpretation. Through the concept of embodied sonic meditation, the piece demonstrates how the human voice at its most simple and spiritual can serve as a medium of aesthetic, inner, and cultural expression.

Abstract

Traditional crafts are an important component of local cultural identity and reflect the principles, beliefs, and social structures of the community. This study investigates the role of the Kuda Kosong art in preserving local culture in Cianjur Regency. Descriptive quantitative with an ethnographic approach was used, with observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that Kuda Kosong is not only used as an art performance; it also functions as a spiritual medium, a means to teach culture, and a symbol of the community's collective identity. This art continues to live thanks to community participation, regeneration of artists, and adaptation to the times. This happens despite facing challenges such as modernization and lack of policy support. According to this study, preserving local culture requires cooperation between communities, educational institutions, and local governments.

Abstract

This study, entitled "The Structure and Meaning of the Song Balasan Sang Qadli in the Annida Nirwana Group," aims to analyze the lyrical structure and meaning contained in the song. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a semiotic analysis method to examine the meaning of the lyrics based on Ferdinand de Saussure's theory. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, with the main subjects of the study being the composer of the song Balasan Sang Qadli and related parties in the Annida Nirwana group. The results show that the lyrical structure in this song has a pattern of repetition and religious diction that strengthens its spiritual message. The meaning of this song depicts a reflection of human life before God, regret for sin, and an invitation to improve oneself by approaching Allah SWT. The symbols used in the lyrics strengthen the religious and da'wah nuances in the song. In conclusion, the song Balasan Sang Qadli functions not only as entertainment, but also as a da'wah medium that conveys Islamic values ​​through modern qasidah music. This research is expected to contribute to the study of religious music and enrich understanding of the role of qasidah in Islamic da'wah.
